I ordered some chicken noodle soup(hu tieu ga) — the noodles were soft and the broth was savory– the reason why I am giving 3 stars is because the broth was full of MSG– I had a headache right after finishing up the bowl. If you want some okay Asian food and you don’t mind ingesting some MSG, then this place with its reasonable prices will be suitable for you. Servers were attentive & courteous.

Place was OK. Wonton soup was good. Lobster noodle was gross. The lobster was bad poor quality. The flesh was grey and green and it stinks. They take only cash and they charge for water. Who still does that???

Ordered the special dry noodles with everything and a noodle soup version of the same. The seafood is very questionable here. The weird-textured shrimp they added tasted like dish soap, as if they were sitting in stale contaminated water before freezing. And worse yet, although the waitress halfheartedly apologized and took the shrimp we scooped to the side away, nothing was ever mentioned again, nothing was ever acknowledged by management. They still charged us the full amount with no offer to compensate. NEVER going back here.

cheap… cheap… but good, yummy bowl of noodle. Less oily and much cleaner restaurant than the Trieu chau on Bolsa and New Hope. The broth of Trieu Chau is a little bit more flavorful and more heavy in viscosity /condense with bone broth, but the restaurant is dirty and smelly. I’m torn between two lovers…

First timer and my fried squid was good but my girlfriend’s rice and grilled pork was too thick. Service was ehhh, and they only had 3 customers… But overall food 2 stars and service 1 star.

Decided to try out the garlic lobster noodles due to great Unilocal reviews and was disappointed. Noodles have great flavor but lobster meat is not fresh, but you can’t expect more for $ 12.99, right?!

Affordable food that tasted alright. Met up my relatives for a meal and this was the place they suggested. They come here often and said that the food is pretty good. Maybe my expectations were too high since I was craving good Mi Kho/Dry Egg Noodles, but I was disappointed with their version. Mì Hu Tiu Khô Dac Biet/House Special Dry Egg Noodles($ 5.99, item #3): Mi Kho is usually served with broth on the side. My broth had 5 pieces of won tons added to it for an additional $ 2. Like other places, this bowl of noodles is topped off with a ton of proteins such as sliced liver, heart, imitation crab, fish cake balls, shrimps and sliced char siu. There’s also a good sprinkling of fried shallots and teeny tiny pieces of pork fat. Despite the many toppings, the overall dish was bland and lacked substance. The flavors of each element didn’t come together. The overcooked gummy noodles weren’t properly drained, so there was a good amt of liquid in there(the dollop of sauce wasn’t able to properly coat the noodles). I had to add a lot of chili oil and fish sauce into it so that I could finish my bowl with a lot of fake oohs and ahhs(didn’t want my aunty and uncle to feel bad). Their«Crispy Squid»($ 5.99) was better than the noodles. The outside batter was light and nicely seasoned. The calamari itself was soft and tender. The sweet thai chili sauce served alongside of it worked, even though I don’t really care for sweet things. Cash only and plenty of parking. Not a bad place to dine at if you’re on a budget and want to just get in/out.

I heard that«CASHONLY» Boiling Noodle restaurant offers a whole lobster with garlic noodles for $ 12.50. So, I definitely had to give it a try. The restaurant is relatively new, modern and clean. Our server took our order: (1) Lobster with Garlic Noodles: My entrée came with a small bowl of soup containing two wontons. It was very tasty but had too much MSG. My lobster was butterflied with the claws cracked off. The lobster itself was yummy and the noodles were cooked al dente but had to much MSG. (2) Phở Ap Chao Combination My friend’s Phở Ap Chao Combination was delish. The noodles were crispy and the veges, beef and seafood were fresh and all good. I would return to the Boiling Noodle but request that only a little MSG be used in my order. I’m a fan … 4 Stars!

I had«Mi Vit Tiem» or duck soup at this restaurant. The duck herb broth is very good and the duck meat is very tender. The service was quick. We did not have to wait long at all. My sister’s family had lobster noodle and they liked it a lot. BTW, the price is excellent too.

I have never been charged for water !!! 50 cent?!? Really? It’s not about the money! Have travel around the world and never been charge for water! I will never go back on principle alone The price is cheap it’s because they give u small serving. I’m glade for that. But! The water charge is pissing me off.

If you think that this is another phở shop then you are wrong. The Boiling Noodle is a wonderful noodle shop that you see in those old kung fu movies. The restaurant is very traditional in what they serve and that is what makes this place a great place to eat at. You don’t deal with all those modern, fusion favor b*** sh***t. This place serves wonderful egg noddle with a ray of different broths and topping. The meat lovers can experience duck, chicken, or pork. The veg lovers can experience vegs on a whole other level. There is a lot of different favors here, so try them all. Here is a downside to this traditional noddle shop, they are traditional which mean they don’t speak English and it is CASH only. You might feel out of place being here, but if you can ignore that, then you will be fine.

Typical Asian restaurant! So don’t expect good service here. Came here with my family for lunch since my grandma loves this place. I had the crispy noodle as my entrée and it came with a big bowl of soup on the side! I did not expect that but I was happy I had some soup! Everyone else ordered a small bowl of noodle soup. Even though it’s a size small, it looked pretty big to me. The food was pretty good here. I heard their lobster noodle is what they’re known for. We saw some tables order but we didn’t have room to try it that day. I love the plum soda here. It was made perfectly! Not too sweet and not too sour. Oh yeah I knocked off two stars because they were cheap about their to go bags and their name is boiling noodle like they copied boiling crab…

Paid $ 2.50 for a drink and they only filled it half way up… What kind of service is that? The coconut drink was so watered down I could’ve just got water. The hu tieu DROWNING in msg got a major tummy ache half way through. I didn’t even finish the food.

Quite honestly the best broth in the Wonton /Pork Noodle bowl! Impressive! We are on vacation in Orange County and stopped by this place. Loved it and we came back for a 2nd time!

A friend had been raving about the lobster noodles here, so we decided to give this place a try. It’s in a medium sized plaza with some other shops and restaurants around. Inside, there is plenty of seating and plenty of people at dinnertime, but no wait for out party of 7. The food did not disappoint! DO get the lobster noodles. You get a full plate of noodles with whole pieces of lobster, the shell on it and all, and the sauce that covers it all is delicious. DO get the shrimp wonton noodle soup. The broth is good and savory and the shrimp wontons are yum. Look out, some pieces of beef are included in this, which I wasn’t expecting since it wasn’t listed in the menu and I don’t like beef, but this might be a plus for some. All in all, 10⁄10 would do it again for the lobster noodles. Haha

My first check in and have to write up a review for this. First impression about this restaurant, clean and eyes pleasing. Second, the service was fast and on time. Waiter and waitress was nice and courteous, no complaints about it. Third and not least of importance, food presentation was great and wonderful. Ordered the Rice and Korean stakes, allow me to tell you this little secret; this may be my new go-to place for me. But on the flip side, do not expect your stomach to fill up after just one dish, let this be your warning :) The stakes tasted good and smelled good as well. My boy shared some from my dish, he said«Yummy»; and I agreed. I recommend this restaurant to fellow Unilocalers, it was first check in and looking forward to the future check ins. I will keep you guys posted. Until next time, catch ya’ll on the flip side! Be safe!

Pretty good noodle shop. It’s a small, cleans and well-lit place. The chairs aren’t that bad either. As for the food, the barbecue pork noodles were very good. It’s kind of like a viet version of Shinsengumi, but you order it all at once. I ordered fried shrimp separately, and that was tasty. Pros + well lit + clean + tasty fried shrimp Cons — too much soup for the noodles you get Recommendation: just get noodles with fried shrimp.

Typical viet place, solid food, good portions, cash only! I came here with my uncle and we got the seafood noodle plate. For $ 8, the portion size was great and the noodles were solid. The oyster sauce was perfect but the plate was mostly filled with broccoli. The décor is simple and clean. Parking situation is a mess but what can you expect from asian plazas. Overall, cheap asian food. Order it, eat it, pay for it, and go home.
