By far the NASTIEST pizza I have ever had. Their sauce is very sweet, something that should be an option, not a normality. I recommend going somewhere else.

One of my favorites! Great crust, love the sauce! One of the best around! It’s always consistent, no surprises! Great pizza!

NOSTARS, MORELIKEBARFBUCKETS, I ordered a deep dish pan half green pepper and mushroom and half cheese. I received the thinnest pizza I’ve ever seen with a box of cheese and a VERYVERYTHINCRUST. The vegetables were wrong also. Needless to say I was not happy cuz I paid $ 28 for a pizza that should have weighed about 3 pounds and I got a pizza that was thin limp crust. I called cuz I thought maybe I got the wrong pizza. The owner who barely understand English and has been in this country over 30 years told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, I said I am not paying for something that’s not correct especially since it was disgusting, it was literally a box filled with cheese with like big chunks of vegetables sticking out of it with like this nasty limp crust on the bottom and then on top of that she she throws a ton of different spices on top of the glob of cheese. Its basil oregano and Parmesan but it’s loose and its dry so it’s not tasty at all it hurt your throat. Those ingredients should always go inside a pizza not on top where can not do any good but cause issues. She’s been doing this such a long time it seems now she just does lazy cooking not tasty cooking. I will NOT go back to her again after she spoke to me like that when she was wrong it was just ignorant and not necessary to a customer that’s paying a lot of money for an item that was not correct. I’m thinking it’s time to retire when she cannot get her customers orders correct and they’re very basic orders. She needs to realize when someone’s paying that much money for a pizza it SHOULDBECORRECT and if not KIMSHOULDPACKITTHEFUCKUPANDMOVEBACKTOTHELANDYOUAVOIDEDMOSTOFYOURLIFEBUTREFUSETOLEARNTHELANGUAGEOFTHELANDYOURANTOO!!!

I ordered pizza from here unsure of what to expect, as I’ve never been here before. When I got to the store, I was greeted by a very sweet Asian woman and it looked like she was the only one working. My pizza was done on time as promised and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend this place over some of the other pizza places nearby. The sausage was very tasty. I am planning on being a regular customer now that I know of them.

I ordered a piece of sausage pizza from this place. As I ate the piece of pizza which actually tasted good, I noted a few pieces of sausage which appeared to me to be undercooked. I returned the pizza to the woman who was attending the counter and she was very understanding and supportive and offered me a different slice. As she was, another woman who appeared to be either the manager or owner began to scoff and argue that it was not pink. She said something along the lines of why get another piece of pizza when I will just find those sausages pink as well? At that point I said, how about just giving me my money back. They did and I will never go back. The owner/manager managed to turn some profit into no profit. Not a good business move if you ask me, especially since I started out liking the pizza.

My family ordered a large half sausage and half pepperoni from Uncle Petes. We opened the box to find the pizza looked like it had been shoved into it; the sides of the pizza were folded over. The box was clearly too small for the pizza. The sauce is on the sweet side and some of the crust was burnt. There’s definitely a language barrier when you call so you’ll have to be patient. While this was not mentioned during the call, this place is cash or check only. Luckily we had cash otherwise I think we just would have gone somewhere else. There are plenty of other places with better pizza and customer service in this area. For me, it’s not worth trying again.

Best pizza anywhere! Wonderful sauce, lots of cheese, excellent sausage and real pizza crust not that junk from the chain pizza places! It is a hole in the wall place but we have been going here for 29 years and we have tried every other place and they can’t compare! Carry out only and you have to pay with cash or check but you won’t be sorry!

I recently started working a block away and decided to try this. I was hoping they were open for lunch but they do not open until 4:00. There is no on line menu and their phone doesn’t work until they open. It’s not really even 4:00 but between 4:00 and 4:30 or whenever the owner decides it’s time. I leave work at 5:00 and ordered one last week for pick up on my way home. I ordered a medium regular crust sausage and green peppers. It came with red peppers instead. I think it was $ 20.00. I could tell right away it was worth it as the box was so heavy. It was very good with an excellent crust. A little hard to eat in the car but I couldn’t resist. The smaller corner pieces did well. The sauce is very sweet. Almost too sweet but I think the red instead of green peppers may have altered the taste a bit. I assume it was the Kim these reviews mention and she was very nice. It’s a thick heavy pizza with a lot of good quality ingredients and I’m looking forward to my next one.

Honestly, this is the best pizza I have ever tasted. My family has been going here for years. Anytime I’m in Westmont I want to go to Uncle Petes!

Thanks Kim, for a GIGANTIC pizza, almost 6″ high and possibly 6 lbs, for $ 28(that’s with 3 toppings). Kim is a hard-working, long-time owner, and good at what she does, which she does with care. She was manning the place alone the other night and still holding her own with no problems. All-around great pizza, thanks again, Kim!

Looking at the other reviews makes me think that people are not ordering the right pizza here(I mean every restaurant has their strengths and weaknesses, right?). Uncle Pete’s is my favorite pizza. Ever. Anywhere. My family has been ordering pizza here since 1987(pick-up never delivery so I have no input on delivery service) except for an incredibly sad few years when they closed due to a fire and we were forced to order from(shudder) Pizza Hut. Friends and family from all around the Chicagoland area that have tried Uncle Pete’s have been blown away when we’ve ordered a pizza. We usually order a regular crust pizza with pepperoni and black olives(which is a great combination by the way). I believe we get a large which feeds 4 hungry people with a few pieces to spare. The tomato sauce is just sweet enough, the copious amounts of dried oregano add spice, and the crust is crispy and made to the perfect thickness. I don’t think we’ve ever ordered anything different here like stuffed pizza or italian beef because they do classic pizza so well. A note on price: no, this is not the cheapest place to get a pizza, if you want cheap, go order some garbage from Pizza Hut or Domino’s. To me, quality and satisfaction win every time. I live in Chicago now and have tried all sorts of pizza but Uncle Pete’s is still my favorite.

Still love this place. Just had the XL cheese and sausage. I think I am in the not recommended reviews because I have the same Unilocal name as Kim’s son TimS. I am not the same person; but would recommend this pizza as highly as he would.

The biggest and baddest stuffed pizza I have ever had. The large(12″) is literally like 10 pounds. The regular crust is also excellent. Sweet sauce, tasty cheese. and crust with cornmeal underneath. Unique pizza… not like others. I consider myself an amateur pizza connoisseur throughhout much of Chicagoland and I think Pete’s ranks towards the top. Also, their pizza bread is the biggest mess of goodness I have ever had in a pizza bread. Don’t go there for the service, go there for the takeout pizza.

The pizza here is subpar. The only reason I think it is open is because it is a cover for some type of illegal activity.

I think this pizza one of the best around… the sauce has something most pizza chains don’t give you… its large size is under 20 dollars!

I will never order, nor refer to my friends or family to Uncle Pete’s Pizza in Westmont. I believe the owner is an Asian woman who does not speak(or understand) English very well. Since I am lactose intolerant, I have to order my personal pizza with no cheese. I have never encountered another pizza establishment(or any service-oriented business) with such a rude person I ever met in my life. I called Uncle Pete’s and said that I would like to order a medium thin-crust pizza with no cheese. The woman said, what sounded like, «WUTT?» back to me. So I repeated the order verbatim. There was a pause, then the woman said, what sounded like to me, «WENOMAKEPIZZAWITHOUTCHEESE! THATNOT A PIZZA!» … and hung up on me. I think that is terrible business practices, and for that reason, I wouldn’t order or refer anyone there. They might have good food, but after reading some of the other reviews, it sounds like they need someone with a little training in American customer services.

Disappointed. That is the best we can say. We ordered a pizza last night for pickup: cheese, sausage, mushroom, pepperoni. My wife goes to pick up the pizza and Uncle Pete’s Pizza says it is burnt and if she wants, they will remake. Okay, no big deal — remake it. «Oops! That burnt pizza wasn’t yours anyway.» — sayeth Uncle Pete’s Pizza. They found ours — phone number mix-up on the order. Our pizza was only slightly burnt on the edges. Edible. Many pizza places have a cardboard bottom under the pizza. This place doesn’t; the pizza sits on the box. Not a problem in this case. The sauce is a bit too sweet for our liking. I also think the person that sauced the pizza was in a hurry and didn’t spread the sauce evenly. It was thick(too much) in spots to skimpy in spots. Speaking of skimpy … the Uncle Pete’s of the 80’s and 90’s was not skimpy. This one was. There could have been more mushrooms and more sausage. The dinner plates had a bit too much grease after eating the pizza — was the sausage too fatty? Uncle Pete’s Pizza used to be one of the best pizzas around, but it most definitely is not. We will not be ordering from here again. There are too many other good pizza joints.

Uncle Pete’s Pizza in Westmont is beyond awsome! In a world of cardboard cut-out pizza places, Uncle Pete’s stands out in everyway – great crust, great sauce and great toppings. And they aren’t stingy with them either. I used to live within walking distance of Uncle Pete’s when I was single and they could pretty much count on me to order one of their«garbage cans»(that’s everything but the kitchen sink) on a Friday or Saturday night. LOVETHISPLACE!!!

Completely disappointed!!! My family has been ordering from this place since we moved to the area in the 80’s and it has been good until this past weekend. After placing an order for delivery on a snowy Friday evening my parents found themselves waiting and waiting for their pizza to be delivered. After and hour and a half my father called good old Uncle Pete’s and was told there was no pizza delivery tonight, why could this not have been stated when they ordered their food?! I spoke with the woman working at Uncle Pete’s who was talking loudly and was difficult to understand and after telling her to forget the order she argued with me to a point where I hung up the phone. Later she called back and called me «Stupid»…great business huh. A pizza business should not relay on 1 delivery person and a great business should hire people who speak more clearly and know how to handle themselves in a professional manner. C Ya Uncle Pete’s never again!

After living in Westmont for the last 4 years it seems like this place was closed down and empty for a while. When I was driving down Cass ave one night and noticed the lights on and steam on the windows I figured for myself I needed to check this out and I’m glad I did! I don’t know how to describe this pizza other than old-school. I ordered a double dough w/cheese and garlic and it was pretty darn good, in fact I will probably order from here more often now. The crust was nice and thick(double dough lol) more like a rustic bread that was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. The sauce was great, sweet but loaded w/herbs and spices. The pie was cut into squares and tastes pretty darn good. This is my first experience and I look forward to having their pizza again. The only downside is their menu is kind of limited so really all you should expect from this place is pizza however it’s pretty darn good pizza. Also the place is only take out and delivery there is no dining room.

$ 52.00 for an extra large double dough pizza, garlic bread, and diet coke? Not so much. I should have known from the difficulty ordering, or the fact that she didn’t give me the amount(my fault for not asking, but it was a confusing call), or the fact that someone else had to take the phone to understand my address(five blocks away), but I was hungry and wasn’t sure which«gut» feeling was going to win. I ordered half pineapple/canadian bacon xlarge($ 11.50) half sausage/onoin/mushroom xlarge($ 12.00) double dough charge($ 3.00) diet coke($ 4.00) garlic bread($ 3.00) tax and delivery($ 7.00) That’s about $ 40.00 right? I got a bill for $ 52.50. They messed up, I called them, the manager proceeded to scream at me hysterically as I calmly tried to explain how her math was wrong. Even the delivery guy in our foyer was dumbfounded with the order and reaction. We gave him a tip for his troubles and returned the order to the madwoman who apparently could not understand the original order or her own scribbled math on the menu(which was our bill). She proceeds to call and harrass me twice more. Not worth it. Now I’m waiting an hour for Brickyard like I should have done in the first place. Even my boyfriend tried to calm her and she went ballistic saying we were idiots and needed to go back to school and learn math. BTW, I have my MBA in finance from Kellogg b*tch hope you enjoy your cold pizza. No soup for me!
