If I could divide my ratings by doctor vs. office practice the breakdown would be 4 to 2. So I averaged a 3. Sorry, but I am feeling a little frustrated right now. My first two visits were fine and I really like the doctor. He’s human and recognizes the patient also as such. Which I find to be increasingly rare. He also will take the time and trouble to personally, sincerely apologize for snafus. That said, they’ve had computer problems for the past week or two. My first appt. last Wednesday was cancelled due to this. I was fine with this(based on my so-far-good experience) and let it go. No one called me in the following 4 days so I did so on Monday. Ended up rescheduling for today Friday the 29th. Went for my appt promptly. Evidently the computer problem was still a huge issue — the office was backed up. I waited an hour before being called. When I finally saw the doctor he was very apologetic, but no one knew what I was there for and there wasn’t going to be enough time to do it. I wished(and made my opinion known!) that someone could have 1) had a paper list and 2) asked the patients as they arrived what the issue was. If that had been done, I would like to think I would not have wasted a potential income-generating hour just sitting. Too bad no one reimburses you for that. Seems only logical and courteous to me. Of course I will go back but it leaves kind of a bad taste. Hopefully that will go away, back to the way I experienced it first!
