Came here the other night and it was great! Called about 10 minutes before on Sunday and they had no problems! Walked in were given the option to sit wherever we’d like. The service was great with very nice servers and our food came out so quickly! The fried calamari was great, though I do think they could have had more on the plate, and both of our entrees (fettuccine with bolognese and a pasta special-​pappardelle with shrimp) were great! Portion size was good too! It’s very cozy inside but it has a great atmosphere. We used a
certificate and there were no problems at all! Will definitely come back!

I was here for a business dinner. Excellent Italian restaurant on par with NYC best Italian restaurants. The service is great, wine selections, is great, food is great. I frequently eat in the city and would consider myself a tough critic but this is by far the best choice in Westport.

Wonderful setting, flawless service, delicious food. The owner (we think it was the owner) spent quite a bit of time at our table making sure that all was to our liking. Our group had a variety of pasta, fish, and meat dishes and everyone was throughly delighted with their meal. The only slight disappointment was in the vegetables served with my fish. It seemed like frozen broccoli and some pretty simple cubed potatoes. Didn’t quite measure up to the standards of the rest of the meal. For the price, the vegetables should have been fresh, creative, and cooked crisp tender and unfortunately mine were none of these things. The fish however was outstanding.

Had never eaten at Finalmente, despite being a 52 year resident of Weston, and an «foodie» and cook myself (I have 1500 cookbooks!) This restaurant was just about perfect! Atmosphere and service couldn’t have been better/​attentive, but not at all intrusive. My friend ordered the lasagna and I had the orecchiette; both were superb! – subtly flavored and wonderfully textured. I brought an extra order of the lasagna home to my husband. Then, I was totally floored by the Italian cheese cake. I’ve ordered this in many places, including expensive Italian restaurants in NYC. This delicious dessert beat them all!!! The generous portion and airy texture was a brand new experience. Also, the lovely presentation, exactly as pictured on this site, was a delight to the eye. I certainly plan to ask my husband to take me here on my birthday!!!

I recently had lunch in this delightful little gem, together with eight other women. The staff couldn’t have been more courteous or helpful. The food was delicious! They started us off with a basket of interesting bread, together with an olive tapenade. I, together with two others, ordered the Bucatini Carbonara. I love Carbonara, and have had it many times in the past, but this was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. We all ordered the smaller portion for $ 12, and wished we had ordered the larger one ($ 19). The other women all enjoyed what they ordered. I had never been to Finalmente before, but expect to return for dinner, as well as lunch. The restaurant is small, but the tables are set apart from each other, and we felt that we had a «private party.»

Simply one of the best Italian restaurants in Fairfield County! The best Ponzese cuisine, great wine selection, best home-​made cheesecake with mascarpone, home-​made limoncello not to mention a cozy atmosphere and Andrea, Maria and Sal’s warm hospitality. What can I say, It’s a feast dining at Finalmente Trattoria!

My husband picked out Finalmente back in November for a date night. Wow, just wow. I dare to say that Finalmente is the best restaurant in our area for both food and ambiance. First, you must make reservations — it is a small and intimate environment and they time their table almost perfectly. On a Friday or Saturday night you may need to wait 5 – 10 minutes even with a reservation but the owners make sure you are comfortable and content.
We have yet to have a bad appetizer, entrée or dessert. We have loved every meal here. I enjoy their squid ink linguine with scallops and on the weekends their specials are always to die for. The service is also excellent — if you eat here enough times you will know the waiters by name. If you want a delicious meal with a romantic atmosphere, you will not go wrong here!

I usually judge an Italian restaurant by their Linguine Vongole. The one I had last Saturday was the best I ever had. It had a light tasty broth, the pasta was cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned and the dish came smothered with clams on top. This dish was so much better than other restaurants that just throw in a cup of butter and 5 measly clams (that were sometimes fishy smelling). Service was awesome too. It shows the owners are hands-​on and care about their restaurant. I’m planning on going back!

Great experience with family for a Bday dinner.
The team is friendly, makes sure that nothing is missing and add this little ‘special touch’ that makes the difference.
We enjoyed the quality and the creativity of the dishes and already plan to go back.

Why oh why haven’t we been eating at this place since it opened? Our loss. I blame Italian burnout, which is a syndrome suffered by residents of the tri-​state area when faced with yet another faux-​Tuscan or Neopolitan bistro.
This place is truly different. And not because it strays from the traditional southern Italian fare that its owner’s birthright. But because it is leagues better than the competition. Fresh pastas, fresh sauces using prime ingredients, nightly specials that would be franchise dishes elsewhere, all contribute to reminding diners why Italian is a cuisine and not just an adjective.
The place is tiny, so you’ll want to call ahead, but we took a table outside on a whim and had great service and a great night out.
I look forward to going back!

I love this place and the food and service are always excellent. I’m getting hungry just thinking about the fried calamari appetizer, and every entrée I’ve had there has always been delicious. Now that I’ve moved to the West Coast it’s one of those favorites on my «must» list each time I go back.

I thought that Finalemente was quite good. It was small, but in a nice way, and everyone was very attentive.
Shrimp can be tricky. It’s easy to overcook and unless the chef really knows his or her shrimp it’s easy to get duped because there’s a lot of bad shrimp out there. Not here though. The shrimp was quite good. Same goes for the pasta in regard to preparation. It was al dente, just right.
Simple ingredients, cooked well in a small setting. That about sums this place up.

Finalmente Trattoria in Westport offers a truly authentic Italian dining experience. Every time I step in through their front door, I feel I have been transported to Italy. Andre, the owner, and his staff will make everyone feels welcome. Chef Guido Tenorio will whip up simply gorgeous homestyle recipes from families in northern and southern Italy for his guest’s dining pleasure. As soon as you settle in, you will also notice that those who know of this place are regulars, and Andre knows them by name.
Situated just blocks away from Westport Playhouse, it is a perfect restaurant for pre-​show dining. It is also a great choice for a romantic dinner for two. Get the hint, people?
We were so excited to see Pasta e Fagioli. Hearty and delicious… this soup was excellent and really made me think of Italy. We also ordered Bucatini Carbonara. Yum! The pancetta was divine in this egg based sauce. Grated parmigiano reggiano cheese was the perfect finish to the dish.
We were quite full, but could not resist the urge to order dessert and coffee. To out delight, the coffee came with delicious homemade biscotti. I LOVED this little touch. So Italy!
