I love it here! There is a play scape area, with areas for little kids and big kids, and swings for differently abled kids. A soccer field, 2 baseball fields and snack shack, 2 tennis courts, Mill Pond, which is liked a paved pond with lifeguards. I guess you have to see it to understand. They do doggy swim days at the end of the season. There is a big skate park, sunken and smooth. There is a good sized dog park, with a big dog and little dog area. You have to watch out though, if there has been a lot of rain, the ground at the back can shift, creating a gap at the bottom of the fence, so pups could get out. There is a picnic table on the big dog side, to sit down, and some benches on the small dog side, and a small obstacle course/apparatus(built by local cub scouts). At the mouth of the park is a nature center. There is an area for horseshoes. A gazebo, several picnic tables. Lots of trees, lots of shade. Good times.

I grew up going to Mill Woods for swimming in the summer… can’t comment much on that because I probably stopped going around age 10… but I just went back last week to check out the dog park. It’s a smaller dog park, but fenced in with separate sections for small and large dogs. My pup had a good time and that’s all that counts. There is no grass, but there are wood chips.

i rate this one star only because of how neglectful the town is of the condition of the skatepark. the ground is crumbling and there are rocks scattered EVERYWHERE. the town needs to fix this place asap…

Mill Woods is a big park with lighted tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court, a large skate park, a swimming area, a dog park, ice skating, a playground, and lots of woods/fields for hiking and walking. Lots to do!
