This place has been changed as JJ Chopsticks. Still serving the sushi and kitchen menus. Their teriyaki box was beyond great. They got awesome lunch specials too. Oh yeh they open 11 – 9.

We went to this small little dive twice and had very mixed experiences. First, I have to say that the waiter is super friendly and even brought us a free crab salad the second time we visited, which was delicious. The inside is clean and decent enough, though it is small and next door to a porn store. The first time we had the liger, omg, and another tasty roll. All amazed and I was prepared to give this place 5 stars. Their prices are also considerably lower than other sushi places. A big disappointment was that they were out of several key seafood items on their menu, which isn’t extensive anyway. The second time we went we still had the same nice waiter, but we got the eagle roll and the only word I have is disgusting. The lobster seemed like it had been soaked in its own brine and then blended with the salt water… it was disgusting. I informed the waiter twice how bad it was and didn’t touch it. There was no offer to make something new or take it off of the bill. The liger roll this time was decent but not amazing… so I have to say it has now been very inconsistent for us.

Walked in with family on a weekday evening. The place was empty. These restaurants live and die by their Unilocal reviews, and I picked this place for all these glowing reviews. But clearly, people in this area of town do not understand Japanese food. 1) How do you mess up miso soup? It should be light and savory, not dank and luke warm. 2) How do you mess up edamame? You need more salt than just a pinch. I could have cooked it for you. 3) How do you mess up a maki roll? Do you eat maki that has half-assed nori wrapping? No. So why do you serve it to people? Make sure the nori wraps the piece completely. It’s very simple. Use less rice. «They’re trying to stuff us on rice,» a family member said. 4) And most importantly, how do you screw up rice? Why would you serve sushi with soggy, overcooked rice? I am not in a Korean restaurant. I’ve had better sushi in a janky Japanese-Mexican fusion hole in the wall. How do you, a full blooded Asian male, make inferior sushi to an overworked Hispanic teenager? 5) Lastly, why is it so expensive? Disregard the menu on Unilocal and the internet, the prices are at least 10−20% higher. I left a very generous tip regardless of the experience; I was in good company. But know that this restaurant needs a new chef.

Outstanding little place tucked between a nail salon and an adult video store, which is convenient. You can cover all the basics in one small plaza. But seriously this place is great. Attentive staff, quiet intimate atmosphere. The BYOB is neat. The rolls, and I’ve tried most of them at this point are fantastic. Good miso, good tempura and appetizers. Next time you’re getting your nails done or picking up some sex toys, pop on over to OMG sushi! Experience all the Silas Deane has to offer!

This is now my favorite sushi place. We stopped by during the latest of many snow storms so the place was empty. It’s a very cute 16 seat sushi house. The staff was amazingly attentive and even brought us some edamame on the house at one point. We had a bunch of different rolls including the Liger roll, the Silas Dean hwy toll and the OMG roll. Wow the house special rolls are fantastic!!! The OMG roll hits you with wave after wave of flavor. All the sushi was very fresh and tasty. The chef came out to greet us and to thank us for coming in. They are BYOB. So feel free to bring your own bottle of wine and they will give you an opener and glasses. Definitely going to be a regular stop for us. Don’t let the location or façade fool you, this place is amazing!

I got the OMG roll actually perfect name for the roll when they bring it out it’s hard not to blurt out OMG. Staff was very attentive and nice. So if your looking for great sushi with that authentic sushi bar vibe at a great price don’t let the name or location fool you this place is top notch.

This was a nice surprise. We were the only customers on a Sunday night. The chef offered us a drink on the house and definitely gave us top notch service! We got the OMG roll, sashimi, and spicy tuna roll. I was pleasantly surprised to love the spicy roll! Usually I dislike spicy rolls from other sushi restaurants due to its oily taste. OMG sushi made their spicy roll without the oily panco crust. I will definitely go back to try some other items!

This is a really cute, small sushi place off the Silas Deane Highway. The sushi is terrific, very fresh and tastes amazing. They have an interesting assortment of rolls and name their specialty rolls after local place, such as Wethersfield High School, which is right down the street. We get a lot of takeout from them. They have a frequent purchase card that is stamped every time we go, and on the tenth visit or so we will get a free roll. If you are looking for delicious sushi in a small, cozy environment, I highly recommend this place.

Great little sushi place. There was only 1 guy working when we went, but he was attentive and prepared our order very quickly. Friendly & helpful as well. The inside is tastefully decorated and there was Motown playing. Their specialty rolls are unique without being gimmicky — for the most part they stick to classic ingredients like fish, roe, crab, eel, veggies, spicy sauces. Everything was delicious. BYOB.

Very cute little spot on the Silas Deane. As soon as we walked in we were seated. The gentleman brought us «free» bottled Poland Spring water. You can BYOB and they have wine glasses and bottle openers. They do offer brown rice as well. The special rolls were great, we tried three different rolls as well as miso soup and seaweed salad. $ 55 and we will be back.
