Silas W Robbins House

If I could give them 10 stars I would. My husband and I stayed here during our wedding weekend– we got married at the Webb Barn just around the corner. The house is gorgeous. The renovation the new owners did is absolutely incredible. John and Shireen are absolutely amazing hosts, they are there if you need them but not on top of you like some other B&B owners can be! They were so welcoming and they made us the best breakfasts while we were there! My husband and I looked forward to getting up just to eat. Like another reviewer mentioned the house is so clean and just every detail is perfect. Since it rained on the wedding day we had our family meet us at the B&B to take pictures on the 3^rd floor, what used to be a banquet hall. We cannot recommend this B&B enough, we will most likely be returning every year for our anniversary. The town it sits in is so charming and adorable, really just an amazing time we had! We stayed in the Jane Robbins Room and it was gorgeous with the blue paints and the amazing tub in the bathroom. I literally picked the room for the tub. We stayed 2 days and I took a bath BOTH days! We cannot wait to go back!

My wife and I just visited the Silas W Robbins house in Old Whethersfield. It’s a completely restored 1855 Victorian and is now a delightful B&B that to is a sight to behold. The owners (John and Shireen) have done a remarkable job over the past 8 years in restoration, and the whole house is a history lesson on Victorian style, craftsmanship and lifestyle. For those who love details in woodworking, garden spaces, and the sheer mastery of the 1800’s artisans this house is a must see.
And on top of that the owners are gracious hosts and the 5 guest rooms (all with private baths) are designed and decorated for comfort and a relaxing stay.

My husband and I just spent our anniversary at the Silas W. Ribbins House in the Silas W. Ribbins. I was absolutely prefect. The history of the house is very interesting and painstaking renovation taken on by the Innkeepers, John & Shireen Aforismo, is just remarkable. Not a single detail was overlooked! The house is warm and inviting the breakfast was delicious. The one thing that really blew my mind was the cleanliness. I have traveled extensively throughout the USA and abroad and I have never stayed anywhere this spotless. We can’t wait to go back!
