J & D Lawn & Tractor Sales

So far, we’ve gotten a lawnmower, a leaf blower, and a snowblower from J&D, and every time we’ve been in there we’ve honestly had the best service. These guys are straightforward and really know their stuff. Because they repair as well as sell the equipment, they can tell you which models people have had trouble with as well as which models they don’t see coming in for as many repairs. They know not only the specs of the new models, but they can also tell you how brands tend to perform over time. They also have never have tried to sell us more than we needed.

I will never do business at this company again. I arrived at 8:15 am and knocked on the door to pick up my equipment. While there were two men in the business, they refused to help me until 9am… the time when the business officially opens. In addition, they did not fix my equipment and charged me a fee.

I went in to purchase a tractor. Looking to spend about $ 2500-​$ 3000. Their selection is great. They have lots of options to choose from. They carry a variety of brands like Toro, Cub Cadet, Husqvarna etc. I’m only giving this place a 2 based on it’s selection.
The service is what turned me away. I waited 50 minutes in the showroom before I finally said to the guy behind the counter that was ignoring me «could I get some help I’d like to buy a tractor». He said «I’m the only one here do you’re gonna have to wait until I can talk to you». I waited another 20 minutes and he finally came over. Keep in mind I was the only one in the store at the time. When he finally came over he was disrespectful and irritated he had to wait on me. Long story short I went to Lowes and bought my tractor.
To make things worse I dropped a lawn mower off to be repaired that day. I came in today to pick it up. I arrived at 8:53 and the same guy is standing outside of the repair department. I ask him when do you open and he says 9:00am. He tells me to go upstairs to pay for the repair when the workers at the counter get in. Meanwhile he’s the counter guy. I wait around until 9:14 and he finally opens the door and says the counter guys are not here yet so I’ll take care of you.
What a joke this guy is. I’m not sure how this place stays in business. Go elsewhere… Some place where your business is appreciated!

Took my lawn tractor, which was purchased at J&D, to J&D for repair. They replaced some parts and the bill came to around $ 500. I took the tractor home, turned it on in the driveway and it started making a racket, and then several parts broke and the main belt flew off, being completely severed
I returned to J&D about an hour later, having only just picked it up, to explain what had happened. They flat out told me I was lying and refused to stand by their work. The told me I must have ran over concrete blocks and it obviously was not their fault.
I took the tractor to Evan’s city and they fixed it right up for me. The J&D jokers did not fix or notice some sort of bent part that was making the mowing deck be unstable, and thus it was creating tension on the parts. That is what caused the issue not running over some mystery blocks of concrete. This company doesn’t give a shit about their customers and does not stand by their work. 15 thumbs down.»
