I would highly recommend Dr. Manganaro. He is an Old Time dentist. My Dad went there for dentures and Dr. M was so kind, efficient and did everything to treat my Dad wonderfully. I took my Dad to his appointments and his Admin, Jean is very nice and very friendly. My Dad had a great outcome with his dentures and I’ve heard so many horror stories about people getting Dentures that it was so refreshing to see the professionalism of this office.

I would recommend Dr. Manganaro to all my family members. I looked up on Unilocal dentist around and found his cabinet. Went In by the good reviews and they weren’t mistaken. I didn’t had an appointment and has been in pain over the weekend, Dr. Manganaro took me In with ASAP, did a quick check up and directed me to his own root canal dr. Warm, professional and very effective service. They do take Delta! I was all covered.

I love how he whitens my teeth every 6 months as a regular thing. Great dentist!

This guy is hands down the best dentist in the history of dentistry! This is def. an old school type of operation in Columbian Square. The office looks like 1980 and yes, the receptionist uses a typewriter instead of a computer. Gotta love it. Anywho, Dr. M has been my dentist for 20+ years & I think he is the best. He is quick, gentile and funny. I had some pretty heavy dental work over the past year, and he took great care of me all through it all. Even though I live in NYC now, I even came home just to see him recently. Highly recommended, especially if you don’t like going to the dentist!

I went to Dr. Manganaro on a referral when I needed a chipped front tooth repaired. Let me first say that after a miserable experience with the hellish Gorgon who took over Dr. Graves practice in Hingham, I have reverted back to to my childhood fear of dentists. I am also a huge fan of bright, shiny dentist offices that have every modern, fly the car in and drive on out Jetson’s piece of equipment. All that being said — Dr, Manganaro and his office are none of those things! His office in Columbian Square(next door to Green Taxi but with plenty of parking out back) has paneling and wallpaper and is furnished in 1983-era wooden chairs and kids toys and plenty of Highlights magazines interspersed with Martha Stewart Living — sort of dentist office meets split-level rec room. His receptionist is a lovely woman(if you can find her behind the coat rack and bookcases and kleenex boxes and STUFF) and she uses a typewriter. A real typwewriter with a fancy backspace key to erase typos which likely hardly ever happen. I love the whole place — don’t let the less than glitzy exterior deter you from visiting this magician! Dr. Maganaro works with the unhurried movements and casual expertise of someone who has been doing this for many years. I was in tears from anxiety going into the chair and he didn’t even allude to the tears coming from me, he just let me tell my little tooth story and went to work. Half an hour later, I had a nicely bonded front tooth that matches pretty damn perfectly, required zero novocaine and set me on the road to losing my fears. He’s not a big chatterer, makes tiny little jokes that are really very funny and gives the impression that he’s seen it all, bonded it and sent it back out into the world to smile! If you need restorative work done on your smile, don’t hesitate to visit this lovely old-fashioned yet up to date dentist — you will be happy!
