I’m in love.
Amy’s Barber Shop is a cute little shop on Main Street in Wharton with a sign and that little barber pole and everything. When you walk inside, you’ll see a warm room filled with various décor ranging from owl paintings, Disney-​themed things, and horror-​movie statues. I was in love.
The owner herself, Amy, is the one who cuts your hair since there’s only one chair in the shop but she did a phenomenal job! I wanted a nice fade and a trim on the top since I have a new internship interview and I wanna look reallll good. Something that says «hey, I may look professional and like I belong on a GQ cover because duh, but I still know how to have a fun time».
I’m definitely gonna come back here, especially for a $ 16 haircut. That’s a great price for me! Plus Amy is a total sweetheart and treats her clients like family. Definitely head here next time for your hairy needs!

Nice local business in Wharton. Got an excellent haircut and the price was a very reasonable $ 16. The owner is a real nice person and is a lot of fun to talk to. Best of all, she gave me a great haircut and there was very little wait. I will be back.

What a great find! Amy is great, her place is great. She knew how I wanted my haircut before I even sat in the chair. The shop was all decked out for Halloween, which is her favorite time of year, I discovered. Amy is really friendly, and her barber shop reflects her personality. So glad I can ditch my barber in the city who could never get my hair right in 6 years. Highly recommend it!

Amy’s Barbershop is great. Besides being wonderful at cutting my hair right, her place is cozy, relaxing and fun. And her prices are low. $ 16 for a cut, upward if a wash and blow dry. Decorated with more fun things to look at… it really has personality, as does Amy. Walk-​ins are accepted. I love the lobby sign that says if you or your child is sick, come another day. Smart. No smoking allowed. TV on. Plenty of recent magazines and newspapers. Fantastic candy bowl, too! Overall, it’s a terrific place.
