A decent Big Lots. It’s got everything most Big Lots stores have. Possibly a little larger than the average store. The staff is nice and the store is pretty organized and neat. I don’t know what else to say about this store. If you’re looking to buy something but don’t want to get it from a larger store like Walmart or Target, then Big Lots will help you get in and out a lot quicker than the larger stores. I’d return.

I actually bought 3 items here. My next visit will probably be in 5 years. While you can find some bargains(Green Giant corn at 50¢/can), most of the stuff is just designed to compete with Family Dollar. It is BIG though. P. S. Unlike Gitana, I won’t be trying to return the can of corn.

Typical Big Lots with a wide selection of goods at low prices. I didn’t really find what I was looking for, but that’s to be expected when looking for something very specific. However, I was surprised that I walked out without buying anything. I’m usually a sucker for their food!

It is fitting that my 300th review is for Big Lots. Being a thrift store junkie, I don’t think it’s a huge surprise that I like this place. I didn’t know about it until I moved to Denver two years ago. I don’t shop here all that regularly but I love the random finds so I always stop here on the way home from Costco. Maybe this should make me a leper but I beeline straight to the food section. There are gems to be found. Some of my favorites: foo foo organic Cascadia Farms granola, Kashi cereal, expensive canned exotic mushrooms, boxed broth, salad dressings, sauces, condiments, cake mix, nuts, kalamata olives, capers, artichoke hearts, couscous, arborio rice, Muir Glen organic tomato sauce, Triscuits, Wheat Thins, energy drinks, Clearly Canadian, V-8, Splenda, Boulder Chips… non-generic stuff I can’t buy at Sunflower and won’t pay full price for at Safeway. I have ventured away from the food and scored Simple Green, Mrs. Meyers and Method cleaning products, including the awesome granite wipes discontinued at Target. But most importantly, this is where we go when we are hungover to get ramen noodles. They are in a 6-pack for 99 cents. Maybe that is the same price as the grocery store, I’m not sure, because it’s too embarrasing to buy ramen at my normal grocery stores. But they don’t judge at Big Lots. Grab a 50-cent bottle of Tapatio on your way out too and kiss your hangover goodbye!

Why the shitty reviews for this place? It’s not like it’s a fancy store or anything. It’s a closeout store so you expect the place to be kind of dumpy. I was surprised to find they sold food here that was decent, and I made sure to check the expiration dates and they were all good. The box of cous-cous I bought was slightly damaged but otherwise fine at $ 1! I also scored a box of Annie’s mac n’ cheese for super ass cheap. They have all kinds of random crap, it’s a great place to buy kitchen stuff to toys to even toiletries. You might have to dig for some stuff but it’s worth it.

Eh, it’s a Big Lots. But, they have hella cool stuff and its all hella cheap. I am prepping for a Memorial Day BBQ and walked in here to kill some time after hitting up the Post Office. Glad I did! They had at least 10 different kinds of solar lights(fantastic for not tripping over wires all over the patio). You know those camping chairs with the cup holders that are $ 20+ at Walmart? $ 12 here. And, if you need new cushions to spruce up that patio furniture, they are cheaper here than anywhere else I’ve seen(including Walmart). So, not having been to a Big Lots in a while, I was quite impressed. And, this one having lots of parking, is worth stopping at.
