Dollar Tree Stores

So, here’s an update. I was in the other day and when I was ready to check out, I stood in line which was curving around to the auto supplies. The only register open was the far end near the balloons. People in line were complaining and asking for another checker. I counted 12 people were ahead of me. I overheard a lady ask can you have someone else come help??? And a voice screaming from inside the office says, «BE THERE IN A MINUTE» With this tone of ugh… Now I have moved up to the middle of the line, about 5 minutes went by, and still no manager. Suddenly out she comes almost 10 minutes later, and opens up a register. She says «OK WHO“S NEXT??» Again, with this horrible tone. One lady who was next said I’ll wait for this girl. No one even wanted to go to her because of her attitude. I am gonna start going to the one up the street, I just can’t even deal with this anymore until she’s gone. Thank you Dollar Tree, you have lost my business at this location…

Showed up on Saturday at 8:55, store opens at 9:00. Watched two employees walk out with a bank bag and leave…5 minutes before opening and 4 cars waiting. Because they didn’t return till 9:07 three of the customers left. When they did return they walked really slow to the door, no hurry to open at all. Great way to run a store!

I am starting to determine what items could be bought here sensibly.
Party goods. Buy 24 plates for $ 1 (+ tax) and you will only have a few left over at the conclusion so you can toss them without feeling guilty.
Cheap greeting cards. 2/​$ 1.
The store is clean and well lit.
The staff was friendly.

This Dollar Tree is located in the Arvada Marketplace West. Since this is the NEAREST Dollar Tree near to the work place, to this Dollar Tree we went. We think this Dollar Tree maybe our favorite for one since its CLOSE PROXIMITY to work, and the store is properly stocked up and clean when we were there. Recent visit was after work. Thursday February 20^th 2014. Time was about 18:53hrs. Managed to get several items. The Sales Associate who handled our transaction, her name is Alex. Don’t mind returning when needed.

This is a great little Dollar Tree. Lots of parking. Conveniently located just off of I-​70 at Wads. They do helium balloons here, so it’s a great place to pick up an inexpensive balloon bouquet for a birthday or other event. And, their seasonal stuff is great (cheap Mardi Gras masks/​beads, birthday decorations, etc.).
Tip: BYO reusable shopping bags. For whatever reason, the reusable shopping bags I have purchased here don’t seem to last very long.

It’s a store that sells things for a dollar… that’s it, not much more to say. Oh I will say, this location, crazy nice. I expected something more like mad max’s barter town from a dollar store, but no, this place was well maintained and clean. Kudos to the staff!
But yeah, stuff is a buck, go get some.

This is one of the nicest dollar stores i have been into in a long time!
It’s huge, there are great dog toys, stuff for teachers, stuff for the bathroom, stuff for cleaning etc.
I’m a fan of dollar stores anyway, and this one is great — it’s close to one of my fav sushi places, supercuts and across the street from costco — talk about a good afternoon!

Is it bad that I love this dollar store? I make a point to stop in every once in a while when I’m nearby on a Costco or Home Depot run. If you need stuff for parties, especially theme parties, this is the cheapo jackpot! The other day they had a few aisles devoted entirely to luau/​tiki gear but year ’round you can find pirate stuff, baby shower, wedding, dinosaur, Hello Kitty, princess, western and all sorts of other junk to decorate or play with. Great place to stock up on wrapping paper or gift bags/​boxes, streamers, banners, balloons (even helium), cups, paper plates and napkins in rainbow colors. The food section is a little dicey, especially since I noticed they just added a refrigerated section (is that really necessary?), but I can usually find some pretzels, nuts or candy that I have to have. Big selection of foam beer coozies too for those who booze cruise. Huge greeting card selection for those people a little lower on your list.
