Brunswick Zone Wheat Ridge Bowl

Took the kids here to bowl and play in the arcade. The bowling is over priced and the
kids won tickets playing arcade games, but the ticket counter was out of service. I was
told by the person working the desk we were out of luck. Try explaining that to a 7 year
old!

The price to bowl here is absurd. You pay per game rather than by the hour. It’s $ 5 per person per game plus the cost of shoes.
When we first got here, they told us they had a private party later in the day and that we needed to be out by a certain time. Halfway through our games they moved the time we needed to be done. The staff was incredibly unhelpful and difficult to work with.
To say the least, we will not be coming back.

So… this is our second time at this specific bowling alley for a birthday party and their service here is lacking, to say the least. First, after talking to the host, she explained that although she prepaid and pre-​planned for her event, nothing was set up for them upon arrival. The second issue is their arcade area has several games that are geared for ticket payouts. Because of this, many of the individuals in our party spent money to buy tokens to play their games. After winning 500+ tickets, their ticket redemption machine broke! This happened the last time we were here! We figured we could talk to the manager about redeeming the tickets manually… NOPE! We were told that because their redemption process is reported to their corporate offices, that manual transactions would mess up their numbers and we just had to come back in hopes their machine is up and running! Really?! I’m here for a birthday party and do not frequent bowling alleys on a regular basis, just to stop back in with the hope of redeeming some tickets! I don’t live near by! You try explaining to a bunch of kids (and some adults) that they are not going to get their prizes because corporate numbers are more important than appeasing paying customers. I just feel that this could have been handled in a better way, and because of these issues I would recommend taking your business else where.

Disappointed. We went on a Sunday afternoon ($ 5 something a line!!) and bowled 3 games. The place was way understaffed and we had to (twice) stop our game because of equipment malfunctions. Trying to get help on the intercom when the equipment was down was a joke! Won’t be going back there again with that kind of service. Tip to management: put on enough personnel to handle that large a place — one girl and one kid do not constitute enough help!

I’m only giving 2 stars because in the past I’ve had some good experiences with this place, especially with purchasing my bowling ball from there. The guys in the shop were helpful (few years back)
But, recently (12/​21/​2015) I took my son and nieces there for their winter break and left there in a very upsetting mood.
When I arrived in front of the cashier station, the cashier doesn’t acknowledge me, continues to work on the register for about 2 minutes then finishes up with the register and doesn’t look up but turns around and starts to do something else. I hear him start to mumble curse words with whatever he’s doing and about another minute passes by before he comes back to the counter and rudely asks me «Can I help you?» as if I’m somehow am inconveniencing him.
Giving him the benefit of the doubt that I have come on the wrong night, thinking it could be a league night, I ask him «Is it a league night? If not can I get a lane, do you have any specials?» He then tells me that the games are $ 5.xx and shoe rentals are $xx. I mention to him that on the Brunswick website that there was a all you can bowl Monday mayhem deal. He tells me that they no longer honor that deal and that they’ve gotten backlash from corporate for doing so. At that point my patience has worn thin and left.
Luckily I found a bowling alley near by that had a much better deal for bowling with much friendlier staff that greeted me.

Oh my goodness what a bunch of crap! Took my kids there. Place almost empty and according to them all lanes were full. Full of what? Ghosts? Maybe the color of my skin was the deterrent. NEVER WILL GO THERE AGAIN!

I mean come on… bowling alleys aren’t supposed to be anything too special… I like this alley because it’s the second close to us and its where I got my own beginner bowling ball… I’m not the best bowler but I have my own special ball that not 800 other people stuff their dirty nasty fingers into the holes… lol
I hear that alley balls are the worst!
That being said… the guy that works in the pro shop was an old timer that was a pro and in the Colorado hall of fame for being a bad — A bowler…
He knew everything about bowling and balls… it was fun to watch him work and his buddy was in there too flashing his «300» ring whenever he could…
Bowling is serious business everyone… especially in the burbs…
So if you need a ball and wanna roll some games… come through to this alley and have some fun…
We had a great time coming here… And I love my cute little ball… it was about 90.00 after he custom drilled the holes to fit my fingers :)

I wasn’t impressed. WAY Understaffed! I am going to keep trying other bowling alleys.

Love it! Took our 5yr old bowling for the first time. When did alleys put bumpers in the gutters?! Will return so my girl can practice ‘throwing’ the ball.

I can’t claim to be an expert on bowling alleys, but this Brunswick zone is pretty solid. The staff has always been helpful. The place is fairly clean as well, although the bathrooms are a bit dingy. They seem to have a lot of leagues so it is smart to call ahead to ensure they have open bowling before showing up.
This is cheaper than some bowling alleys and you can almost always snag a coupon of some sort to make it cheaper. We have a card, I believe it’s a Wheat Ridge High School Farmer Card, that gets us up to 5 games for a dollar apiece each time we go. That makes for a pretty affordable time. The music gets a bit loud, but it is a bowling alley so I don’t expect peace and quiet.
I was recently in the market to buy some bowling shoes. Why waste money renting each time when my feet have stopped growing? Anyway, the man in the pro shop was very helpful and friendly. I called ahead the day before to see if they had the size I was looking for; he told me they did. When I got there and said I had called the day before, he immediately remembered me and went and got the shoes in the size I wanted to try on. He told me a little about the various shoes and was a great help.

I love this place! We come often, we live down the street. They have an hour long bowling for 20.00 deal that is awesome. The man that helped us the other day was Justin. He reminded of the bumpers for the kids, I always forget, and he was pleasnt with Everyone. I feel like he made the experience extra great. I’m not sure why he stuck out to me, but good service is important to me for my money, and I felt really taken care of here. Thanks guys! Side note, the snack bar food is pretty good. This place has a cute little old school looking bar inside, but it is apart from the alley, and this place is extremely family friendly!

This is the best place to bowl in Colorado. Nice friendly staff that works to give you the best deal. They will also help you get coupons for your next visit. Just ask for help and you get it. If you want to bowl and have a good time this is the place.

Very nice and clean, staff was friendly, arrived a few minutes before noon and they still gave us the 99 cent special for the three games we bowled (special is 99 cent per game before noon), will return to bowl here again!
