K & D Landscape

K&D is one of the worst companies I’ve ever used. I’ve been nothing but disappointed with the way they do business. No problem cashing a check but when the work isn’t done correctly it’s never their fault, and if you want it fixed, it’s going to cost you more money to fix their mistakes.
After putting in our entire yard and paying over 40,000 we discovered we had a major drainage issue. Even though their own employees stated it should’ve been done differently the owner would not step up and do the right thing and fix his mistake. I agreed to pay an additional $ 1,000 to fix the problem. Of course the owner tried to bill me an additional $ 400 because he says it was a bit more than he thought?
I also had to pay him again to redo the zoning on our sprinklers due to the fact they too were not done correctly to begin with… also admitted by the owner that «we do them differently now that we understand the right way to do them» are you kidding me?, Still he wouldn’t fix it without charging $ 300.
After discovering we were losing water through a leak in the sprinkler value box they agreed to dig it up and repair the leak for $ 300. After digging it up, they said there was no leak even though there obviously was. We received an $ 1,100 water bill! I contacted K&D again and the owner wanted to charge me all over again to try and fix that problem. The owner again seemed agitated that I wasn’t happy paying him more money to fix what I already paid him to fix…
Not to mention they had a guy attempt to edge my front lawn, completely scalping the crap out of it, leaving exposed sprinkler heads and dirt behind. They never mentioned it to me, never offered to repair it. The clueless owner just said «it’s like a bad haircut and will eventually grow back» I asked him if he was comfortable putting his company name on this work, and he cowardly turned his back and walked away.
If I scheduled a 5pm appointment, he would show up at 8pm without a phone call, or just not show up at all. This was a regular behavior from a so called professional.
The bottom line is this company stinks, awful service, and they don’t stand behind their work. It’s amazing they are in business.

This company is the very best! I had to fire my last lawn service for doing a poor job. I hired K& D mid-​season & I am more than impressed. They go above and beyond just mowing/​trimming my lawn. My property looks better after one month than it did after an entire season & a half with the old company. They are polite, courteous and very hard workers!
