Well that is given, that their food is good but sometimes there are circumstances that they were not able to cater some customers. But I do believe, if you are sure to the place to go is MCDONALDS.

Just wanted to post that all the workers I encountered were so nice. I had also gone through the good times drive thru before and the lady there seemed miserable. So it was a nice contrast! Thanks for being cheery!

Just your average McDonalds. I ordered a sausage McMuffin, with NO sausage… I wanted the muffin and cheese only. I pulled away from the drive-thru with McMuffins with egg and cheese(egg isn’t even on what I ordered). I went back through and let them know that there was a mistake. They fixed it and handed me my bag of food, which this time included my sandwich which was correct, but it also had 2 other sandwiches that must have been the next guy in lines order. The food was good, but as I said I only had a McMuffin with cheese and nothing else.

So… It is a Saturday night, and after a trip to McDonald’s on colfax and Kipling had wasted SERIOUSLY25 minutes waiting in line(for only 4 cars), only to get to the window and be told they did not have and could not make the 2 Carmel frappé’s I ordered. REALLY!!? I understand stuff happens, things run out, but for them to not mention this at the time I ordered, or even at the payment window after that was extremely annoying. The fact that I have 2 restless dogs in the car didn’t help anything. I made the trek to this location and mentioned the hassle, in frustration, to the manager, Deanna, who was at the window. She was kind enough to comp one of the drinks because of the trouble at another location. I think this is the kind of customer service that lots of places do not partake in any longer. I was not looking for free stuff or a comp, it was more just venting and I think they went above and beyond to try and make a customer happy. Thanks for the great service!

Well, it’s a McDonalds, so there not much to say here about their food. Taste is not usually a problem(and their chemically enhancers help). Anyways, I have to admit the quality is more like a one-star(if that) but the best part here is that there’s a playplace. What can I say. It’s hard to be a fan, but they do have cheap options. It’s too bad their not really ‘good’ options. Something needs to change with how us Americans do food. Starts at the home.(My three cents.)

+ Free Wi-Fi + Boomerang Formica table tops. The décor is retro 1950s. — Kids playland smells like a swimming pool with the odor of disinfectant assaulting your nostrils. 0 Food.

We go to this McDonald’s pretty often because of the indoor Playland… which is valuable when it’s 10 degrees outside or so hot that my kids could burn their skin off going down the slides at our local parks. As for the food… it’s McDonald’s food. But overall, they’re pretty good with their customer service and correcting mistakes they may make.

I know — you are probably all rolling your eyes saying — she’s giving McDonalds a 5 star rating. Ok, I get it. But, let me explain first and then you will understand why. I was having a craving for one of their dollar strawberry sundaes at about midnight 2 – 3 nights ago. I didn’t realize, but I had actually got their at around 12:08 or so and they still waited on me! I have never had that happen. The few times I have absent mindedly done this at other drive thrus in the area(including their competition a couple of doors down BK and a rude, crappy, worthless BK at that I must say) some little a-hole gets on the crappy speaker and yells«We’re closed» and gives me a go to hell like attitude. So, I have got to tell you McDonalds in Wheat Ridge — it’s little things like that — just a nice gesture when it was clearly my fault for coming too late — that will keep me coming back for your great little salads, sundaes, coffee, etc. So, this step right here earned your restaurant 2 stars immediately. Next, I must say this little dollar sundae was way, way better(as far as bargain soft serve goes anyway) than the $ 4 sundaes I have gotten down the street at the nearby Dairy Queen. Dairy Queen charges you right and left for things that should come with a damn sundae and before you know it a cheap sundae turns into an item that is priced like a good gourmet ice cream shoppe’s version. McDonalds little strawberry sundae was loaded with tons of strawberry topping, layered even(lol) and although it looks super tiny, I actually was not able to quite finish it all. So, because the quality of this dollar item was so much better than Dairy Queens on 38th ave — there is star #3 for Wheat Ridge Mcdonalds. Alas, the final 2 stars are because this Mcdonalds has actually trained their employees to be polite, friendly and and quick! When I got to window one I was not greeted with the familiar usual face of dread and agony I see at the competion’s drive up window. This kid was smiling, happy and even managed to ask how my night was going. And I only spent $ 1. I have had the worst, sullen, most horrible service at pricey restraunts in Colorado where I have spent anywhere from $ 50-$ 100 and was not treated with an ounce as much respect as a customer. When I got to window #2 — same story — another teenage boy — respectful, smiling, knows the basics of decent customer care — and thanked me for my business and to come back again. And I definetely will. So, for the other restaurants in this same immediate area — listen up. I’ve noticed a lot of your corporate offices at these other places going on CNN crying poor mouth and complaining that they are losing business because of the dreaded«economy.» Yes, it is true that Americans have cut back vastly on their dining out costs, but you do not seem to acknowledge the other part of the problem here. Customer Service — the term that corporations seems to think is an unimportant need these days is severly lacking in your restaurants. Your workers are not the only people who have problems in this world. When I am greeted with a frown, bad attitudes, and workers that act as if they wish they were dead rather than working at your establishment — then guess what it brings me down as well and I do not come back to your place of business. Why would I want to take my money which I can spend at any restaurant I choose to take crap off of miserable people who can barely muster a smile or count back change? That is the #1 reason I do not return to a restaurant. I am also a patient person who will give a place 3 – 4 chances to get it right before I give up. Mcdonalds I know your corporation gets a lot of flack, but all I can say is that this particular location in Wheat Ridge, CO has well-trained and terrific employees working at the drive-thru window late nights and I will return because of it.

This McDonald’s is not all that bad. They aren’t the best but they are far from the worst. If you’re going to a fast food restaurant like McDonald’s you already know the quality of food you should expect. I generally refrain from commenting on that at fast food joints unless it is of very high quality or extremely low quality. What you will get here is the everyday run of the mill quality food. And they are fairly consistent with getting the orders correct. You can expect if you say no cheese they will have your order without cheese. I haven’t had an issue yet with my order being wrong from here. The inside is decent and clean but that is to be expected from a place you are going to eat at. The employees are also of average. Overall this is an average place that I don’t mind visiting when I am in the area looking for a fast food meal.

One star for messing with my caffeine intake! First off, let me preface this review by saying that– under normal circumstances– I would poop twice and die before visiting this or any other McDonald’s. I pride myself in the fact that I have NEVER eaten a burger from McDonald’s, Burger King, or Wendy’s… ever. Not one in my entire life. I think that’s pretty rad. But I digress… One afternoon, I found myself literally falling asleep at the wheel during the two mile drive from the Post Office to my house. Coffee: I needed it. Having heard moderately decent things about the McCafe and knowing that there happened to be a drive-thru on my way home, I hit it up. I asked the disembodied voice on the other end of the intercom how big the small latte was, only to be met with empty static. *pause* Me: Hello? Disembodied Voice: Ummm… *pause* it’s a small. (dude) Me: How many ounces? DV: *looooong pause* 16 oz. Me(happy, because 16 oz of caffeine is the exact amount I want and need in order to make it home awake and alive): okay, I’ll take a small latte.(I refuse to put the obligatory«Mc» in front of it, because that’s just not how I roll) DV: what kind? Me: A LATTE.(thinking: if you force me to call it a «McLatte» I’m going to punch you in the tooth) DV: what flavor? Me: just regular.(thinking: if I wanted hazelnut or vanilla or snozzberry I would’ve mentioned that, brah) So I pull up to the window and dude hands me a freakin’ DIXIECUP. I’m like, «this is 16 oz?» «Yeah, man.» It’s so not, but I’m not about to have a battle of wits with an unarmed man, so I accept it and drive home. It’s gone within three blocks. When I get home, I take my empty cup into the kitchen, grab my trusty Pyrex measuring cup, and discover what I already knew: it’s a mere 12 oz cup(and a scant one at that). To the Idiot Yahoos at this McDonald’s: I don’t mind PAYING for a 16 oz size if that’s what I want. But if you tell me I’m getting 16 oz when I’m only getting 12, there is a special circle of hell just for you. Don’t mess with my caffeine intake and nobody gets hurt.

I love their soft-serve vanilla on a cone. I am not ashamed to admit it.
