The ambience of this Ginos is not like the others. The food was still fantastic, but it didn’t feel like Ginos. Our server was a bit awkward. We had to wait a long time for refills. There was also something sticky on the floor underneath the table. All in all, when we’re back in town, we will go to a different Ginos just to have the typical ginos feel.

Lots of pizza places to choose from and this is one of the best! Food is amazingly good. Have had thick crust and thin crust pizza. Both delicious. Toppings plentiful and crust is great. Old firehouse building is interesting but décor isn’t much… that’s ok. I don’t go to a pizza place for the décor!

Wow! I’m in pizza coma! The wait for s table wasn’t bad. Started off with chili. Nice balance of heat. Very hearty! Ordered a «Medium» Meaty Legend Deep Dish. 45 minutes later the feast was at the table. Whoa … That was a tasty pizza! This kid from the 305(Miami, FL) loved it! Two slices and I had to tap out. Nice selection of beers. I’m glad I was told to check Gino’s East out I would not have known where to go. Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had ever! Bring an appetite.

After moving away a year ago, Gino’s East wins in my top three favorite pizzas of all time– we love the deep dish pepperoni!

I’m a big Gino’s easy fan. This is my second favorite deep dish pizza place. However the service at this one just isn’t as good as the one downtown on Ohio st. I could have just been in on the wrong days but give it a shot and hopefully you have better luck than I did with service. Food is great!

Pizza is good but service is slow. We were waiting for refills on drinks for awhile. After we ordered our food we didn’t see our waiter for awhile. Had the same experience time before we were here too. Plus they had a small group of kids running around outside on patio which isn’t to bad but then they started climbing all over the tables and chairs stacked about 4 – 5 feet high and neither the parents or management did anything. May give them 1 more try.

Stopped here for lunch today. I had heard of Ginos East but never ate there. I got a small thin crust. Didn’t strike me as thin and I didn’t like the crust at all. It was very bland and dry. Toppings seemed ok but it was hard to taste them with all the crust. Service was ok. Neat building.

My boyfriend and I had dinner there today to celebrate one year of dating and had great food and service to make the day wonderful. We were seated as soon as we walked in, had a very spacious private booth. My boyfriend doesn’t eat pork and as bad as I wanted a sausage deep dish, I compromised to a chicken and mushroom deep dish. Our pizza was very delicious, although the amount of toppings were on the low side. Cheese was plentiful and that crust is a must. We also ordered chicken tenders appetizers which came with fries so I was half full by the time the pizza came. It’s cool though, I got breakfast and lunch for tomorrow and I’m looking forward to it already. Great location, but parking was a bit of a challenge.

Went to this location because we didn’t feel like going all the way into the city, and for us, it was totally the right choice. The pizza is good, really good… although like all deep dish, it takes at least an hour to cook. The service was a bit slow, especially considering there were 2 servers on and only 3 tables in use, but she was friendly and kept me in iced tea. Plenty of parking. Nice décor, although you’d be hard-pressed to call it «atmosphere». Came during the winter and the place was a bit cold. They probably keep it set for when it fills up, but I noticed several of us kept our coats on until the food came.

I decided to write an update after someone posted a review! Growing up as a WNHS Falcon, this place was the«guys, let’s spend some extra money and actually not go to McDonald’s» with my friends. We loved getting appetizers, pop, and pizza. It’s pretty expensive and is busy on the weekends. We had a tradition of going on Christmas Eve for a few years until college. That was pretty cool. They also supplied the youth football pizza concessions. GO Wheaton RAMS! The pizza is usually pretty good. I love Gino’s East thin crust cheese even though they are know for their deep dish. It’s a bunch of high schoolers and COD students working. It’s hit or miss here. I have some other local places I’d pick, but dad got on a hot streak of buying Groupons/BOGO offers, so we ended up here. College kids will eat anything! If you’re looking for a sit down meal in the summer that isn’t going to break the bank(Yep, talking to you soccer moms), this is it. They have a to go station in back. If you’re a high school kid looking for a reasonable date, go here. You can’t afford Wok N Fire, The Bank, Ivy, etc. This is on par with Muldoon’s, Bricks(never been but sister has), and all the Asian places downtown. A good option, but broaden those horizons. It is expensive for pizza… not going to lie. Must be in the name!!!

I went to Gino’s east in Chicago, IL I dont know why this has Wheaton, IL. I dont want people to think they are all the same, because I have been to restaurants that share then name and foods, but taste and customer service is different. I had a great time at the location on 162 E Superior St, Chicago, IL60611. The service was the best I had in any pizza shop, the pizza was the best I ever had. I had a deep dish in St. Louis, MO and the deep dish here, was oooohhhh so good! The ingredients were fresh I had the MEATYLEGEND it comes with Pepperoni, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, and bacon. Man you talk about filling and delicious put it this way. I normally do not order liquor while out at restaurants, the atmosphere here, the people here and the food here, I ordered liquor. I had my family with me too and this was one of my best eating experiences with them. Like I said the address that is given here is not the one I ate at, I can only recommend 162 E Superior St, Chicago, IL60611. Fantastica!!!

We recently ate here for a family dinner and it was a great experience. Being a Sunday night it was really quiet(I didn’t need to make the reservations that I did). Our waitress was really sweet and very attentive. Our party slowly showed up but our order came out perfect and the food was good! Only reason I docked a star was that I’m SO bummed to see that there is no writing on the walls allowed :((big tradition for me when I was younger) and also I’m EXTREMELY claustrophobic and we were put in this booth that could have fit 16 people(8 on each side) and it was literally a cave. The lighting was terrible(dark yellow) and there was no circulation in this cove that they put us in,(I’ll compare it to a very long NARROW closet) and I was fighting a panic attack the entire time. Otherwise I’m sure I’ll avoid sitting there next time and I’d give it 5 stars :) (ps — I had no choice in the seating arrangement as it was not my decision)

I used to frequent Gino’s East 4 – 5 times a year, because we had coupons for when I played football at Wheaton North. Anyways, Gino’s East specializes in Deep Dish Pizza, but they also have thin crust pizza. Two words come to mind when describing Gino’s East: Consistently Inconsistent. I’m a knife and fork Pizza guy, so I prefer the deep dish. Their Veggie deep dish is was really good; I’ve had it on two occasions and it has been excellent. I’ve also had the cheese, and it was okay. I’m not a fan of sausage, so I won’t comment on that one. They make a good thin crust pizza too. I really like their pepperoni(which I usually don’t like) and the cheese. Gino’s East has decent sauce. Unfortunately, I’ve had bad experiences here, too. I once ordered a veggie thin, and it was awful. Maybe one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had. Undercooked cheese and watery vegetables. This actually happened twice, albeit the other time it was a cheese pizza and not nearly as bad, but still undercooked. Cheese should be brown on thin crust! As for the deep dish, I’ve never had a bad experience, but I actually don’t prefer the cornmeal base. Gino’s East is a nice place for groups. It’s in the old firehouse in downtown Wheaton. Will I go again? Probably not, because I prefer Stuffed pizza. It’s good for sitdown, but I wish their prices weren’t as high and I wish they were more consistent!
