5 stars the first time, the second time mine was a little light on the meat. but my wifes was excellent… I’m talking the thin crust(Chicago style?) Oh, and a shout out to Sam P for bringing Pizza Pronto to our attention I’m at a disadvantage, I like almost all pizza, it’s just to varying degrees. I grew up in Chicago, I don’t remember any thin crust like this. Even when I go to Vito and Nicks and ask for«well done and extra crispy» the crust doesn’t get this crispy. It’s really delicious. The pricing is also pretty good. good enough that my wife and I get our own pizza’s(this is extremely unfair, because my leftovers(if any.) don’t last and she gets to nosh on her pizza with the disgusting mushrooms on it for a few days. Sign up for their frequent rewards card and you will get the occasional text message special too(if you want) But at regular prices I can walk out of there with two pretty excellent pizzas for around $ 25.00 and they aren’t the little ones like at the Brick Oven Places. So, when I call I always forget to tell Big Mike which kind of crust I want. he asks. and I say that I want to try the New York Style… but I just love the Chicago crust so much, that I just can’t order anything else. Big Mike agrees… it’s his favorite too(or, he’s using a good sales tactic on me) I would like to try one of his beefs, but he’s not open for lunch during the week. Forget atmosphere. Mike’s a nice guy, but take your food and go someplace else to eat it… it’s a carryout joint. Oh, and when you call, be prepared, for your pizza to be prepared. pronto!

We’ve been in for pizza a few more times, and I just wanted to update… yum! Usually I hate text message advertisements, but I got one from Pizza Pronto in the nick of time the other day when I was trying to scrounge for our dinner. The sausage, pepperoni, and pinapple topped NY style are all delicious! I must say, I tried the Italian beef since I read one or two other comments that it was the BESTEVER. It really wasn’t to my liking. On the dry side and very heavy on the oregano… what am I missing? Still a 5 star place, but I wanted to add my two cents so that others might keep their hopes and dreams in check when ordering the Italian beef.

I just tried their new Thin & Crispy crust tonight with pepperoni and sausage — it’s unbelievable! The crust was perfectly done to a crisp and being thin really let’s the great taste of the sauce shine through. Also, for how much meat is on this pizza, I can’t believe it didn’t turn out greasy at all — what a perfect pizza!

I’ve had pizza pronto several times now — for both lunch and dinner, and they always put out really good pizza! First off, this isn’t traditional Chicago thin/crispy — but the standard pizza you get from here is NY Style pizza it seems. Its a nice change, and still delicious. Most of all, for the price of the pizza and typically fast 15 min ready times, I give this place 5 stars — its a great value.

The pizza here is so good! And a large 1 topping pizza is only $ 8 you can not beat that. I stop here on a regular basis when I need something quick to pick up. It takes around six minutes for the pizza to be ready. One thing better than the pizza is their fresh cut fries made to order. They are the best fries I have had in a while. If you get the chance to go here, take it you can not beat the prices and the food is good for the price!

The best Italian Beef in DuPage Co. The owner makes his own Italian beef, far from the other local hot dog stands. Lean, with a good marinated flavor and a touch of Italian seasoning. Even the fries and giardinara peppers that are crunchy but spicy or sweet. Try them with the stuffed mushroom caps for a stomach treat. This is now the only Italian beef I will buy(no offense to anyone else’s) Hidden on Main Street Wheaton, near Wheaton North HS. It definitely worth the trip

We purchased a groupon. We otherwise would not have known about the place since we live about 20 minutes away. Noticing it was very near Cosley Zoo & North Park I thought it would be a perfect scenario, grab our pizza deal & head to a park for a family pizza picnic. Problem was the pizza. The chicken tasted microwaved, dough & sauce bland. We tossed most of our meal. Total bummer.

This place was just great. We had a groupon and actually just went there, ordered our pizza and garlic knots, and waited the 15 – 20 minutes it took. When we told the owner Mike we’d just eat there at their counter, he got us plates and cups. He made polite conversation and once we were eating made sure we were liking everything. We got the Big Mike’s special pizza, which is basically an Italian Beef pizza… Genius. He also revealed that he makes his own giardinare and that everything they do is homemade. We were extremely impressed. The dough is just DELICIOUS in my mind. A little chewy in the best way possible. The pizza kind of reminded me of a New York pizza as I folded mine in half. And, I could eat those garlic knots every day. Highly recommend this place for delivery or pickup or, even on a whim, a quiet dinner at their counter. :-)

Today was my first visit to Pizza Pronto I purchased their groupon which is an absolute steal. For ten dollars you get a a specialty pizza an appetizer and a 2 liter bottle of soda just for ten dollars!(It would be about 20 without). My friend and I got brucheeta and a buffalo chicken pizza… it was literally the most hottest pizza I have ever eaten. I’ve had buffalo chicken pizza’s before but this was way to damn spicy so much so I couldn’t feel my tongue. On the other hand when I got used to it, it was actually really good I really liked the cheese it was obviously better quality because it had a nice sharp taste to it. The brochetta was okay, the tomatoes tasted chemically but it wasn’t horrible and it was really cool they serve appetizers with the pizza. If I ever have the chance I’d come here again and try a more mild pizza: D.

I’ve decided to update my Pizza Pronto review after another visit, and after trying a different item. For those who haven’t read my initial review Pizza Pronto is a whole in the wall style delivery/carryout pizza place located off of Main Street in Wheaton just a little ways North of downtown. On a previous visit I had stopped by to try out the pizza and picked up a large sausage pizza for only 8.00. I thought the pizza was decent for the price and was overall impressed enough to make a return visit. However, on this return visit I came not for the pizza, but for a different item that was being shown in a banner outside of the restaurant. Pizza Pronto now has hot dogs. In visiting I decided to try the two hot dog special. The two hot dog special included two hot dogs, fries, and a fountain drink. I don’t recall the exactly total off the top of my head but I remember it being around 6.00. The question is, how was the Hot Dog special? The hot dogs I purchased came on classic Chicago style poppy seed buns. There was a long and fairly thick pickle slice on each hot dog. The pickle was not particularly sour, and was a good compliment to the dog. The tomato slice used was one per dog and was a bit on the thick side. This resulted in not being able to get tomato flavor in every bite as it was thicker than it was long. There were two sport peppers on each hot dog, these were nice and flavorful. They weren’t so hot as to off the balance of flavor and weren’t too tough to bite through with the rest of the hot dog. The problem with this hot dog comes to the condiment application. This hot dog used excellent quality relish, it immediately brought back memories of the hot dog served at Al’s #1 Italian Beef. The problem is they used about three hot dogs worth of relish. The relish was applied so liberally that the bun actually became soggy and started to fall apart from all the relish juice. The application of onions and mustard seemed to be fine, but it was hard to taste them over the abundant relish. I didn’t detect any celery salt on this hot dog at all. The sausage used was a skinless dog, it was well heated and had a nice flavor to it. Overall my opinions on this hot dog were mixed, it tasted fine, but the overuse of relish really made it harder to eat than it should have been and threw off the balance of flavor. The fries included were fresh cut fries, they weren’t too salty or too greasy but didn’t stick out in my mind as being exceptional either. For the money the hot dog special wasn’t a bad purchase and as I said the hot dog tasted good, it was just unbalanced. Overall I’m going to say the hot dog special here falls in line with their pizza. Good food at a good value, but nothing exceptional. I’ll keep the rating here at three stars.

This place was one of my favorites, now I won’t go out of my way to get it. I understand the low prices, but come on… order garlic knots, one time they’re so burnt, they’re black. The next time, you order them and they’re a bite of RAWDOUGH. Oone time, pizza’s almost burnt, the next time, pizza cheese WASN’T EVENMELTED. GROSS. I think I’m done here.

If you have not stopped by here, then you must. The pizza is better than any chain store pizza and a better value as well. The owners are some of the nieces people to meet. The food is good and you can’t beat the deals they have here.

Pizza overall isn’t THEBEST, but it’s good. What did make Pronto Pizza THEBEST was $ 5 for a large 1-topping pizza. Which I admit, is ridiculously«cost effective» and the only reason that lured me to order from here more than once. Unfortunately after driving by yesterday, my wife noticed $ 5 pizza is no longer! :(It’s now $ 8!!! I’m sorry, but for that price for the«quality» I would rather spend a few bucks more and go to an establishment that the pizza doesn’t remind me of Domino’s. I guess they had to pay for the huge @$$ sign in the window somehow. Seriously, I can understand raising prices, but $ 3 more? Come on Man! I wish pronto luck, but after a 60% price increase, my wife and I are taking our money elsewhere to get a better pizza.

My boyfriend suggested Pizza Pronto for dinner one night and I seriously thought he was joking. How good could a $ 5 pizza be? One word: delicious! The crust is nice and thin, but not soggy. Their sauce is what really impressed me. By far one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. Don’t let the cheap price scare you off, that’s just an awesome bonus!

Very good pizza. It’s family run and the owner is extremely nice. Pizza is very high quality; good sauce and excellent topping choice. Quick service…6 minutes for a pizza to be ready. Pizza was only 5 bucks… but very high quality pizza. Also tried their jalapeño poppers, which were excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Give this pizza a try… you will definitely come back for more. :)

Wow– delicious pizza– generous portion– delicious with bacon on top– and thinner which is my favorite. We really enjoyed our pizza and couldn’t believe how affordable it was. We also had the garlic knots which were also really good– hot and fresh. I ordered at the restaurant for carryout and it was ready quickly(but made fresh just for me). The owner was really friendly and showed pride in his restaurant and also in the area which is nice. We will definitely be back– we’re excited to find a new pizza place and one that is so great, focused on the community and affordable too!

This is a great new pizza place — the dough is very tasty and the cheese as well. Can’t beet the price for a large one topping, though if you like multiple toppings, the extra cost can add up quick(look for daily specials for some savings), but still competitive with others and tastes a lot better. I was not such a fan of the garlic knots(personal preference). On busy Friday nights it takes about 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready, so that is just fine. I’ve ordered from here several times and have not been disappointed.
