First time at smash burger ever… I loved it. Delicious burgers. I had the bbq bacon, those thin cut onion rings on the burger are really good. Didn’t have any fries opted for a shake and it was really good. Liked how they served the shakes in frozen mugs. The place was really clean and all the employees were really pleasant.

I have no idea what all the hype was about. I could nto find anything special about my burger — I would much prefer a hamburger from portillos over this. They screwed up my husbands order and when he asked to have it fixed they just fried up an egg and plopped it on the table for him. Definitely will not go back here with all the other options in the area.

The only reason I’m writing this review is because of Myra. My family and I decided to call and place a huge order for 12 people last minute over the phone and she was incredibly patient through the whole order and made sure we had everything correct. Customer service at its best!

Today I had the Spicy Jalapeño Baja Burger. Wow! Talk about delicious. It seems to me that ownership has taken heed of the Unilocal reviewers. Each visit has been improved over the last. This burger was unbelievable, my taste buds did not believe what they were experiencing. Jalapenos, guacamole, pepper jack, onion and chipotle mayo on a spicy chipotle bun… oh, all I can say is incredible! I cant wait to get another one of these! The restaurant was super clean, the service was beyond expectations. Friendly staff and fast service. What a nice improvement!

Service was not so great, staff were annoyed because we had coupons. Food was mediocre.

Nice change of pace from Five Guys, Portillos, etc. There are no combos so you have to order everything separately(sandwich, fries, drink), but the the price of a regular burger and fry ends up under $ 10. Although this location can get busy during lunch, the wait times aren’t that bad, nor is the food quality. They will even occasionally come and offer a free coupon for an order of fries during your next visit, which is unexpected and a great example of showing customer appreciation.

Somewhat surprisingly impressed with the burger. Not bad at all for a QSR.

Looked online and saw a coupon for free shake with entrée and we were close. I’ve tried the other smash burger in Naperville. Tried the avocado burger this time and the sweet potato fries and of course the free chocolate oreo shake :) my daughter got the classic burger. The burger is pretty good but pretty greasy as well so obviously don’t go here if you’re trying to watch your figure :) the sweet potato fries has a hint of rosemary so it smelled good as well as tasted good. The shake was good also but they included the extra shake that doesnt fit in the shake glass that most places would just throw. It gave more shake for the both of us to drink. Although it is definitely pricey. For our meal it was a little over $ 20 and that was with the free shake. Oh well its a decent burger joint to go once in a while. I’m older now so gotta start watching what I eat… stinks getting old!

I’ve been wanting to try Smashburger for a very long time — I pass their franchises frequently. Today I gave them a go and I was not disappointed! I just went classic with a Smash burger and smash fries. The presentation was excellent — I am not a picture taker of food but it looked so great I couldn’t resist — the burger was cooked perfectly juicy with a crispy exterior and the fries were excellent. My meal of a regular burger and regular smash fries were around $ 7. I thought that was a fair price for a delicious burger and fries! Will definitely try again.

Kid friendly menu and great service. DH and I both had burgers and the kids had a hotdog and grilled cheese. Fantastic food! The smash fries were awesome. Wish there was one closer to home…

Waylon the Manager is complete trash. I get the fact that I have to show ID when I purchase a beer. I showed him my ID and he «with a scolding tone» said«take it out.» When I said«never mind then» he stared me down… What is wrong with this guy? I honestly didn’t acknowledge the guy the rest of the order. After he said my order number I took the sign out of his hands and wig a sarcastic tone said«your welcome!» Why would you ever raise your voice at a customer. I would get rid of this clown if I owned the business. This is not the first time I’ve felt with this guys attitude either. It’s a shame because I’m a regular here. I will no longer be coming back. I would rather go out of my way that come to this place and be treated like trash.

Burgers were decent, fries were too thin and overcooked. Burger patties were crumbly and extremely greasy. It was completely dead, and there was only one other family in the restaurant the whole time we were there during peak dinner hours. Clerk was friendly.

Burgers are a bit expensive for their size, however they are very tasty and there are a variety of options. The fries are great and are cheap, $ 1.99 for a side of regular fries. The service was great and the cashier was friendly and we received our food very quickly. Overall a great restaurant! Would come back again :)

So I think they listened to all you Unilocalers out there that had bad service experience here. We ate here on Friday night, it was kinda quiet but the nice young lady at the counter was very efficient at taking our order. The food came up quickly and this is the funny part, we must’ve had 3 different people come up and asks us if everything was ok, or if we needed anything more. Now when’s the last time that has happened at a semi-fast food place? The place was very clean, they have a nice variety on the menu. I loved their smash fries, I think they might be a little healthier than normal fries they were certainly tastier. Now all this being said, I had the bacon avocado burger and it was good, but I think 5 Guys has better burgers and that’s why I give this 4 stars. The burger was fine but something about 5 Guys is just better.

The customer service at this location is terrible. I took a gaggle of kids after school one day to get some burgers. It was pretty busy but nothing too crazy. The guy who took our order was so rude and at the end asked me if I could hurry up with my order because they were busy. Our order was wrong and we got no fries even though I was charged for them. It wasn’t worth dealing with the rude cashier again. Before we left, I had everyone stop at the bathroom and couldn’t believe how dirty they were. Next time I want to take the kids out, we will just go to Meatheads.

The burger itself is pretty good, and the fries are amazing. The only thing that sucks is most extras like bacon, onion straws and a fried egg are all extra and up to a buck or two extra. I like all the extra options but it seems they charge extra to make you pay more then you would at a sit down restaurant.

This place is nothing special. I really wouldn’t have gone if it wasn’t for the group I was with saying it was a good lunch joint. The fries were tasteless, but the chicken sandwich I had(buffalo chicken with bleu cheese) was decent. The only thing that was annoying about that was the fact that they had ran out of bleu cheese. Probably a good place when you’re with a smaller group and want a quick burger. Just not my style.

I have always like there food, but unfortunately this review is based on service that was poor, on August 19, 2014 my wife and I stopped in for lunch as I noticed the cashier wasn’t too thrilled that we were taking our time getting our orders right and wasn’t being helpful with the process. After 10 minutes our food came out which was hot and fresh which both of us liked. But the real problem came after we were both done with our meal. So common sense is always pick up after yourself which i did, but so after that I had one of the employees approach me and told me to «just leave it on the table» I guess helping someone with something isn’t in smash burger policy or any customer service manuals. SO unfortunately I will not be visiting your establishment in the future. I guess I have to start eating at Tom and Eddie’s instead.

Smashburgers are delicious. Dirty floors, tables, bathrooms(and probably a lot of other things), are not. We used to be regular patrons of the Schaumburg SmashBurger, prior to our move to Wheaton. Upon moving here, I was happy to find a SmashBurger not far from our new home. However, now that we’ve eaten here twice, I’m sad to say that we’ll be returning to Schaumburg(or finding some other location), next time we’re in the mood for SmashBurger. Both experiences at this location have been the same. So dirty… filmy, unclean bathrooms, tables not cleared, outdoor dining patio with old food ground into the pavement. On top of that, extremely long wait times which left us ample time to «appreciate» the atmosphere. On our most recent visit, the person who seemed to have the managerial role apologized profusely to everyone she came in contact with, not in a sincere way, but in a habitual way. Like she gets so many complaints, she just can’t help but say«I’m sorry.» If you insist on eating here despite all this, you’ll probably still like the food. I love their black bean burgers(prepared in whichever style it is that includes guac and jalepenos), sweet potato fries, and barbeque burger. Even my son’s plain hamburger was tasty. I’d rather just enjoy all this deliciousness in a more sanitary atmosphere. Like a gas station.

I got the classic burger– regular size for about $ 6 with tax. It was good! I wish you didn’t have to purchase fries separately… The place was like Noodles and Company– you order up front and they bring you your dish. My fiancé got the spicy baja burger and said it was good too.

I arrived about 1215 pm Saturday afternoon. This is the equivalent of going to Target the day after Thanksgiving! I knew right when I arrived that I would be taking my order to go. Too many kids who were jacked up on candy due to due Danada having their Trick or Treat today! I’ve been to Five Guys(formerly Five Guys Burgers and Fries) and it was alright. That, In and Out, Meatheads, and other«gourmet» burger joints popping up all over suburban USA are really nice to have, but quiet honestly Culver’s, McDonald’s, and Wendy’s are a tad bit higher on my list. I won’t even get into Smoke House and Portillo’s because those are my two favorites. Initially I thought I would order the Spicy Baja, but alas, there was mayo. I hate how mayo is part of the burger culture. Meat, veggies, and cheese/avocado are usually my base. I decided to build my own burger on multi grain roll(the little smash variety, if you will) and add jalapenos, avocado, mushrooms, onions, and a side salad. The side salad was like that annoying cousin at family parties that just doesn’t take the hint. Glad I got that over with first. The burger was cooked medium well and the toppings were great. I hate the up charges for mushrooms and avocado, but hey, I also hate my student loan payment. There are plenty of other great options for a quick and meat/veggie lunch. I wish i went to Chipotle or Qdoba, but am glad I tried this place. I won’t be back, because it wasn’t a smashing experience.

I’ve been here twice. The french fries are very good. They are cut thin, like shoe string fries. I don’t know why, but shoe string fries are just more fun to eat. They genuinely taste very good too. In fact, the reason I returned a second time was specifically for the french fries. I had the black bean burger on both visits. And, both times, I was unimpressed with it. It doesn’t taste bad, it’s just overwhelmingly black bean-y. It could really benefit by being toned down a bit with some other ingredients. It tasted like eating a can of pureed black beans, and that’s really never been something I’ve wanted to eat. The toppings were pretty good, avocado, lettuce, tomato, pickles all tasted fresh. The multigrain bun had a good flavor and was not too dry. If they could just fix the black bean burger into something more palatable, I would be a loyal customer. The fries are delicious, and in a moment of weakness and false hope they brought me back a second time, but it’s not going to happen a third time. Sorry, guys. As a vegetarian, the black bean burger my only entrée option here, so I can’t speak to the rest of the burger options. The staff were all friendly on both of my visits and the restaurant was clean, including the bathroom.
