Robert Boyd of the Stogsdill Law Group was my lawyer for over three years in a divorce and custody battle that cost me and my ex-​husband $ 75,000. Bob is in the upper echelon of family law attorneys in the western suburbs and his rate reflects that at $ 500 an hour. I would say Bob is a lawyer who gives personal attention to his clients in the very beginning of the case. Then has no problem suddenly being extremely disrespectful and going no contact for months at a time despite attempt after attempt to discuss the case. But beware, if you think there is another recourse, there is not… unless you have another $ 3500 to give a new attorney for a retainer. Good luck. His assistant Rita can be helpful if you stay on her good side. Bob is the absolute worst thing that happened to my case. I finally have a new attorney and I couldn’t be happier! It was worth every penny of the new retainer. He actually cares about my relationship with my daughter and takes into account the things I have to say. With Bob it was always just «No, I can’t do that.» My new guy has done more in the last month than Bob did in the last year. Seriously.
