The UPS Store

This is a nicer UPS store. However, they do not respect a budget. They refuse to send something a less expensive way. They only ship next day or 2-​day even if you request it. They come up with one lie or another to make you pay for the most expensive shipping. I think this is an Illinois UPS issue; they do not do this in all states. This location does not smell bad. One employee is nice. Otherwise it would be 2 stars.

Back in September I went to this UPS store to ship a watch back to the vendor I purchased from. I was not told that a signature would not be required, and I was not aware that the address was a residence (and not a business). After several days of the vendor telling me that they had not received the box, tracking information revealed that the UPS driver left the package on the front doorstop of a house in Brooklyn, NY at 8:30pm on 9÷18÷15. Is it any surprise the box was stolen off the doorstep? After filing an investigation and providing the owner (Sonny Patel) with copy of the watch receipt, and a link to the watch online, I was told that an insurance claim had been filed. I have been trying to follow up with Mr. Patel for more than 3 months. He does not return my calls/​emails or notes I have left with this staff at the UPS store location. I do not appreciate being lied to or having to spend countless hours trying to follow up on this issue. I would not use this UPS store unless you want to get bad service and want to be lied to.

I went to USPS to send a package to Denmark so they told me they can not guarantee delivery to the destination because it is out side USA, so I took my package to the UPS store in Wheaten and I told him to send this package to Denmark and he took it and gave me the receipt (for sure was more expensive than USPS but that is ok with me because I want the guarantee) and then couple days later I found the tracking number that they gave me was from the USPS … so that is mean those guys took the package at the UPS store and send it by the USPS and took the extra money !! it was a scam in legal way.

The clerk here knows very little about shipping options. Also gives incorrect information. Best to only deal with the manager/​owner.

Returning uverse equipment. Hassle free very pleasant. Would definitely do business here again.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. All of a sudden some of my packages are requiring signatures. How does that work when you are gone all day? Well, you can get them delivered to the UPS Store!
I’ve had a few packages delivered there and they call me when they have arrived. They have special parking for quick visits so I can get in and out.
It’s a great option!

I have never encountered a more inept business that this one. First off, they don’t have a working phone, and when I let them know that I have been trying to call the store to check on a package, the reply was, «I just get static on the phone when I pick it up» Ya, do you think you should get a new phone! I called another local UPS store and they said that they have had tons of people complain that they never answer the phone. Maybe they don’t want/​need any new business.
Oh, and that is not all. I was lied to about a pick up time for my package. That is a long story, and I will post that in another review since there has been more than one issues with this store. My advise? NEVER use this store if you are shipping a package you care about getting there at the time you intend.
