These guys are really good at their craft. Terrific shop right out of the movies. Fun atmosphere. My special needs son loves to get his hair cut. Ricky is amazing with him.

One of the best shops I’ve been in since 1997 and had the best time they are probably the friendliest and funniest barber’s I know with professionalism l can’t see how anyone could say anything bad about the service if your having a bad day go to this shop they will make your day and if your LGBT it’s gay friendly because I am GAY and they treat me with total respect.

Second time I’ve been here. Was disappointed with the cut both times, especially this time. I described the kind of cut I wanted(cropped, very short on sides and back, long on top), which I thought was simple enough. But the barber ended up cutting my hair the same medium length throughout and took the cape/smock/bib(what do they call that thing?) off me and said I was done, instead of letting me see my cut first and asking if it was alright. I’m now going to have to wait to grow my hair out a bit on the top and then go somewhere else to get the sides and back done correctly. I don’t know if other barbers here are better, but if you’re new and don’t know the best guy(s) here, I would not recommend taking the gamble at this place. P. S. Based on some unprofessional comments/jokes made by other barbers, I would definitely not come here if you are LGBT.

Must have been fate that I walked by the shop. I’m really fussy about who cuts my hair & as a tough critic, I remain impressed by the professionals at Wheaton Barber Shop. This place has it down, from the classic barber shop feel to the choice-iest of cuts. Definitely at least a few notches above your quality barber, you will be very happy you chose Wheaton Barber Shop. Outstanding beard work too, this is one of the the best barbers shops in Chicago.

This place is better than Floyd the barber. Going to these guys since they opened. Excellent barbers. It’s a guys shop but great for kids, woman always welcome. Try it. You’ll be back.

From when i was a kid i went here. Glad the reviews have stuck. Couldn’t say anything nicer than how this small barbershop is an institution in Wheaton. Any young man should be wiser after leaving here… and a little less gangly too. Kid youll feel weird when your dad brings you in here at first. But youll leave with a new opinion on what a man is. A better one.

I have been here twice for a haircut. It was $ 16, very strategic, they assume you give them the $ 4 tip and kind of make you feel guilty when you ask for change and«only» pay them $ 16 for a haircut that took about 20 minutes at most. And would cost less than $ 10 anywhere else. The owner is a nice guy but most of the other barbers are pretty rough around the edges and will only talk to you if the topic involves beer, sports, etc… The shop itself is not too clean, either. Smelled weird both times I was there.

This is the place to go for a great haircut, shave, and the best atmosphere. You’ll be welcomed with open arms and become a regular in no time. I knew from the first moment I walked into this place that this would be my barber shop from now on. Come for a walk-in or place a reservation you won’t be disappointed.

My boyfriend started going to this barber shop a month ago and can not stop raving about his experience there. He walked away with a great hair cut and had great customer service there that left him happy all day. So for Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be a great idea to get him a gift certificate there for a hair cut and a shave. Now my boyfriend did tell me that this place was completely throwback and even had one of those old timey registers, so I figured they might not even have gift cards to issue so I decided to give them a call. I spoke to Ricky on the phone and he was one of the nicest, most helpful people I have ever talked to. He told me to come on in and he would write a card of some sort to use as a gift certificate there. When I went to pick up the certificate, I finally got to see the place for myself. It was adorable – old fashioned barber chairs and beautiful oak floors. The place was so clean and well kept. The men that work there are big Italian teddy bears(who I later learned are all related). One of the men that was cutting hair talked to my daughters who were with me, and he was so polite and friendly. I think next time Scott gets his haircut, I’ll probably come with just to see them again. So for any guy in the West Suburbs looking for an old fashioned hair cut, I highly recommen Wheaton Barber Shop!

Happened upon this gem of a shop by chance upon moving to Wheaton. It’s been my husband and son’s favorite place to get a haircut. Professional haircuts with personable conversation. These guys have become like family — Mayberry touch to downtown Wheaton.
