Horrible. Service was awful. Breann was quick to ask what I wanted to drink, however, 15 minutes later she still had not brought my cup of coffee. Took almost 1 hour for them to make my sandwich. Not to mention that the entire place is sticky, littered with trash, unkempt staff, and once the food finally arrives it’s so bad that you wish you never ordered to begin with.

Came there all smiles, left all frowns. I am a server. I get it. But my boyfriend and I came around 11:30 pm and the server was terrible. Don’t remember her name but she was obviously a graveyard server long black hair she was really skinny. She didn’t write our order down and I guess she was expecting a difficult order but she put cheese on my hash browns and I am allergic so allergic bye. My boyfriend, Bruce, ordered grapes and he got raisins(aka rotten grapes). Then anytime after that when she came over, she had a rotten attitude, wouldnt even respond to our thank yous or anything. And mind we are servers so we always tip 20% anyway no matter what, but when we were paying we literally gave her 30% and said thank you so much have a good night ANDSHEIGNOREDUSSHRUGGEDANDWALKEDAWAY. 2 days later had a friend at work tell us about the same server and said it was terrible. NEVERCOMEHEREWHENSHESWORKING. I know your sad but damn my therapists name is Pablo he’s cool hit him up girl. 303−555−5555.(2 stars because food came out good, shout out to the cooks thank you!)

Been coming here for years and you never know what you get. The insides a but rough and reflects the location. Food varies from good to why did they serve me this. Service is about the same can be great or poor depending on who you get. Overall it’s a typical Denny’s.

New Review, check out the old one at the bottom: Sometimes this place is good, but recently not so much. Tall big Bobby put me on hold and never picked the phone back up, this is extremely unprofessional. I went over there anyways to get his name and the General Managers name, he did not even apologize. There was two customers in that whole place… wth? He was just standing around doing nothing so I do not understand why this even happened. We were regulars there, being walking distance made it more convenient, now even being two minutes away we are just going to try somewhere else. This is the third time something like this has happened, but the managers usually handle it better. Its not like we don’t tip either, we usually tip the same as dinning in but we always pickup. Lately a lot has been wrong with our orders too, or things missing from the order. Once I ordered a dessert, walked over to save gas and when I get there they tell me they are out. WOW!?! So long story short, food and service are sometimes good… depends on the people working at the time. Old review/when good managers/servers/cooks are present: We have eaten here a several times now, because the food and service has been so great! Everything we get from there is cooked perfect! Because we are introverts, we usually pick it up and it stays hot and fresh. Best burgers around in my opinion, and their other food is amazing too. We love most: Turkey Dinner, Moons over my hammy, Bacon Avocado burger, Build your own Burger, Steak Cobb Salad, Season fries and fruit, All Breakfast items and more! Thanks So Much Denny in Wheat Ridge Staff, for Amazing Meals and Service!

Hey corporate office, people call for take out so we don’t have to sit in your establishment wasting our valuable time ordering and waiting. You should probably rethink this policy or maybe allow ordering and paying online if you’re worried about people no-showing… You probably don’t care about losing my business but your competitors thank you!

My sis and I were very fortunate to have an amazing server named Bobby! He was very quick and attentive with us, not to mention mindful of the fact that we were out of town! He recommended us some cool places to check out and was very helpful in helping my indecisive self choose what to order. We even back the next night for him! Our food came out fast despite the midnight rush and having only two servers on the floor. I’ve tried the pecan banana pancakes and the seasonal fantastic four special slugger meal which came with blueberry pancakes topped with plenty of fresh strawberries and bananas. The blueberry pancakes are my fav cause they use a whole lot of FRESH blueberries and they cook them into the pancakes perfectly. The pecan banana pancakes are yum too, no complains about the amount of glazed pecans infused into this one! It’s like pecan galore!

This is a Denny’s. Nothing fancy or special. Just decent food at good prices. I ordered the prime rib salad and was surprised at how fresh the vegetables were and the prime rib was super juicy. The service is always great with Kayla– she is an asset to the team. Definitely ask for her if you come in. She’s super attentive and great at multitasking and taking care of all of her customers. Also the wifi works just fine. Weekends get busy for breakfast and they have free dinners for kids on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

We sat at our table for 10 minutes before we saw our waitress. Then waited 50 minutes for our food. Then waited 25 minutes for the second half of our food(which we only got because my husband went and asked for it). All of it was cold. We then waited 25 more minutes for someone to check on us to get our bill(which we also had to go up and ask for). We didn’t complain, we try not to be those people. We went up to pay and had a coupon. The casher messed up the coupon, and the manager didn’t know how to fix it. She just gave us $ 20 to use on our next visit.(This wasn’t for our awful service, they never apologized for that.) Now comes our next visit. Service was still slow, but faster than the two hours we spent there last time. When we went to pay, my husband presented the $ 20 worth of certificates(presented in 4-$ 5 certificates). The casher said we could only use one per ticket. My husband explained why we had them, and how we were given them to use all at once. The manager came over and said we couldn’t use them. My husband asked if we could split the bill in order to at least use three of the certificates for the three meals we had ordered, and they said no, because they had already applied one certificate. Apparently managers don’t know how to work the systems here. We knew we’d never be back, so we just picked three people near us and handed out the certificates. I hope they had better luck with them than we did.

Sitting in Denny’s as I type this. Sat at booth for 20mins without a waiter; when we finally bothered a waiter to help us out, he reluctantly told us that he’s only serving us because he lost Rock Paper Scissors. After waiting for another 10−15mins we finally got our water and drink orders(and no, it’s not particularly busy this morning). Not impressed.

Ever has this been the Denny’s of choice for my family, usually because with all their hectic schedules the only time we could meet up for a meal after some of us moved out was after nine PM and they were the only decent place open. «Were» is, in this case, the operative word. The food is pretty good, and decently priced, but Denny’s(obviously as a chain) has gotten a little more expensive of late, specifically on their $ 2/$ 4/$ 6/$ 8 Value Menu, where they have been slowly reducing the robustness $ 2 and $ 4 options. I understand that prices change, and that’s not the fault of this location specifically, but it still reflects on them nonetheless. The service was largely what kept us coming back here, as it was ever superior to the other nearby Denny’s. It has declined drastically, however, and I think I’ve had my fill, so to speak. My most recent visit was a forty-five minute debacle for a single to-go order. Two menu items and drinks. It should not have been so arduous. I ordered a coffee whilst perusing the menu, and they brought it and seated me at the counter for a time. All good, until nobody asked me anything further for ten minutes. I ordered a Build Your Own Holiday slam, and paused while the manager keyed it in with her trainee. Continuing to stand there, I watched as she finished that item, then turned to another customer who’d come up to pay. She took care of them, which I thought was odd, but I didn’t interrupt for fear of being rude. She then busied herself with another task and a couple minutes later I asked if I could finish my order. She looked at me surprised; «I thought you were finished!» That’s because you never asked. Finally I get my second item on, the $ 8 chicken skillet, and she tells the kitchen that the two items are together. Ten minutes later they bring forth a to-go order, but not mine. Apologies ensue, and they take it back. At this point I’ve been in the restaurant twenty-five or thirty minutes, for two items. Finally they bring forth another to-go order, also for another customer. The manager that took the order is nowhere to be found, so the server running the to-go orders from the kitchen goes back and finds my skillet, which despite the manager’s instructions, is *not* together with the holiday slam. So she goes back a third time, tracks it down, and brings it forward. Finally I collect the two items, get my coffee refilled for the fourth time, get my fiancé’s iced tea, and head out. Eventually I found that the scrambled eggs in the slam were a solid, cold lump, the whipped cream was somewhat disheveled on the pumpkin pancakes, the cheddar cheese on the skillet was entirely absent, there was only one set of plasticware, and no extra napkins were included. Thus the only napkin was the small one with the silverware. My immediately previous visit entailed fifteen minutes of trying to get a box for my leftovers during the night shift, so the disorganization and shoddy service is rampant. The staff is friendly! They’re just bad at their jobs.

We were there recently around 10:30 after a Rockies game. There were a bunch of teenage kids that just came in from across the street at the bowling alley. One of the waitresses saw my GF and I waiting at the counter area and could tell we weren’t with the big group and told us we could order right there and take an open seat by the counter. She was very nice, helpful, and observant noticing we weren’t with this massive party that came in late as everyone was scrambling to help everyone. Food was great and didn’t take too long to get either. A+++

Awesome! Nikki(the manager/supervisor) was great, her staff was very good too. All of them were very friendly, and enough so to handle my sarcastic attitude. They engaged with us and were laughing and having a great time while being very professional too. The food was great! It took a little longer than we expected, but when it got here it was perfectly prepared as we ordered it. The wi-fi was a bit slow and laggy, but it was good enough to do some homework and write this review. We will be back.

Decent. The service was good. The attitude of our server was pleasant and up-beat. She handled a special order with no problems. The food was good, but not as good as other Denny’s. The presentation on the plate was a little sloppy and portion size(for those things that you can control) was a bit smaller. Based on the other reviews, I’d venture that there have been some improvements over time.

Its Dennys. You don’t come here expecting 5 star cuisine! We eat here a couple times a month & have always been treated well. Food is typical for this type of chain. Service depends on who you get & what time of day you go.

I had the unfortunate experience of dining here 2 nights ago. I had not been to this particular Dennys in about 7 – 8 years. It used to be an A-ok place — yes, even being that it was a Dennys. The only reason I ended up going here was because I was in the area and most every restaurant around here was closed and it used to be an alright Dennys. It all started when I got to the door and this snooty, snotty(lol) 70 something hostess(reminiscent of that awful Maitre D’ from«Ferris Bueller’s Day Off» with that unforgettable line — «I’m suggesting that you leave before I have to get snooty.» Apparently her advancing age made her completely forget how to seat a diner. She looked at me once and then scuffled around under the counter and did not even address me. At this point I either wanted to A. Say I was Abe Froman, the sausage king of Chicago and see if that would help me score a seat at the ever elusive and trendy Dennys or B. Leave. Unfortunately I did not choose either option, going with the always, always wrong answer — C. — Stay and see what happens. Then Miss Crotchety pants went back in the kitchen for a bit. Finally she could see I was not leaving and announced«Party of 1» like I was a reject for daring to come to Dennys alone. And she stuck her very non-french nose up in the air when I said«yes, just 1 tonight.» Who says«party of anything» at a freaking Dennys? Anyway, her dementia finally cleared up and she was able to finally seat me and hand me a menu. But then — I sit there and I sit there and now the waitress is acting like I am from mars and proceeds to wait on some people that came in after me. At this point I decided to do a quick little purse mirror check and make sure that I did not have a booger on my nose, an additional head I did not know about or some other offensive thing that made me impossible to wait on. OK, glad to report — no additional head, no boogers, everything looked Dennys appropriate(: I would even go as far as saying I might even pass for church appropriate that night. Anyway — I want to wrap this dreadful experience up. I asked for a «well-done» burger and ended up with a still mooing crappy burger. At any other restaurant I would have asked them to send it back and re-do it — but this my friends is not any normal restaurant. Unfortunately I ate half of it and woke up with you know the d-word the next morning);. The hilarious thing is that when I went to check out at the counter — the snooty, downright mean dementia lady was suddenly completly nice and friendly. Yeah lady what ever — I am still not coming back to the Dennys in Wheat Ridge. I have better things to do at 6 am then to be awakened by stomach rumbling and agony.
