Planning a wedding is very stressful. There are so many decisions to make about the tiniest details you may have never thought about. Choosing Jolie Images to capture our memories for our wedding was the best decision I made. The entire staff were so helpful. Whether by phone call or email, I always got a response. They accommodated my requests and answered all my questions clearly and concisely. My photos were ready for me to pick up (CD and album) just shy of a month. Our photographer, Max, could not have done a better job. Seriously, our guests were so pleased with him! He was so helpful and wonderful throughout the entire wedding day. He made sure to capture photos from every angle. I waited until I got the photos back to write my review because sometimes you never know, but rest assured, this company knows what they’re doing. Thank you Max and Jolie Images!

We had Max as our photographer. He was extremely professional yet personable. He took the most amazing pictures. He included every single person at the event somehow into at least one picture. Jolie Images is really under priced! They deserve so much more! I would most definitely book them again for any other major event! I highly recommend them and request Max… He won’t let you down!

Too bad they don’t have a zero stars option. Please take my advice and pay a bit more for your photographer if you ever want to see your damn pictures.
I got married in October 2014. I made my album selections and sent them in a few months later. Guess where my wedding album (Diamond Package) is? No, seriously– guess. Because I have no freaking idea. Oh, I have the crappy proof book and the cd, which took every minute of the 15 week maximum they said it could take.
In August 2015, after I complained again about not having the album yet, I was contacted by a very nice person who offered a few concessions, apologized for the delay, and seemed to imply that the album was in progress and they would call me when it was ready. Sounded good.
In October 2015, I got a call saying they discontinued the album color I chose. I said just give me a black cover, I don’t care anymore.
It’s now January 2016, and no call, no email, no album. Oh, and whenever it IS finished– I either have to drive to Wheeling to get it or pay to have it sent to me. The photographer was average and the service is lackluster-​and the only person at Jolie Images who seemed to give a crap was still not able to help get me this album in a timely way.
Just pay for a professional and save yourself the aggravation.
And by the way– I recieved the photo cards weeks after the wedding instead of at the reception, where they would have been useful to my guests.

I booked a photographer through Jolie Images for my wedding on 10/​18/​2016. The photographer was incredibly nice, punctual, and helpful, however when I got to see the pictures, I was disappointed.
During the wedding: The photographer was doing more than his job description — He made sure the bridal party had champagne during the ‘getting ready’ portion, he helped the groomsmen pin their boutonnieres, and when my dress bustle was yanked loose, he was right there with a safety pin. Overall, he seemed like a pretty nice guy, and obviously, he was constantly snapping photos.
After the wedding: Jolie Images posted the pictures a little later than expected (took about 5 weeks) to their website. When I looked through them, my stomach turned as I noticed that the photographer focused on one of the bridesmaids much more than he focused on the rest of the bridal party. She got her own personal ‘photo shoot’ next to Venuti’s beautiful fountain, there were many pictures shot of her only, while the other bridesmaids (and myself) did not have any. It brought me practically to tears seeing all of these personal shots that she had gotten taken while I was struggling to find just one personal shot of me… the bride. This made is especially hard to create our photo album (as we had ordered the Diamond Package). After bringing this up with my family and husband, they told me that that bridesmaid had been complaining about the photographer during the wedding, saying that he had been ‘hounding her’ and wouldn’t leave her alone. This showed in many of the pictures.
I know, I get it, I had a beautiful bridesmaid. However, I’m the one footing the bill.
UPDATE: I lowered my rating because of the lack of communication I’m receiving from Jolie Images and the extraordinary amount of time it is taking to complete the package that I purchased from them.
If you’ve already invested money into Jolie Images for your wedding, I advise you strongly to not buy any packages they offer for albums — only purchase the package that provides the CD’s of all of your pictures digitally (then make your own album). It will take about a 1 ½ to 2 months to be able to review your pictures online. Then after that, it will take another 1 ½ to 2 months to receive your CD’s.
If you buy an album package (like the Diamond Package I purchased), you will get a proof book with your CD’s. You then have to go through a pretty painful process to develop your album — You have to print off ‘slide’ pages (your album will end up being 20 pages, each page can hold up to 4 pictures). Although each page can hold up to 4 pictures, Jolie Images will make sure to tell you not to do that, as your album will end up looking like your proof book. After you go through their lengthy instructions and print off all of the paperwork, you then have to mail or fax in the paperwork (I tried to email mine to one of the staff members and never got a response back). Then, it will take 12 – 16 weeks to design & post for approval, and then another 7 – 9 weeks to bind and print.

Buyer beware, once they have their money they don’t care if your satisfied. pictures taken too far away, out of focus, obscured by bright lights or objects, photographer couldnt even center the subjects, good luck if you go with these people, we have better pictures from peoples camera phones then from jolie

To start they deserve NO stars!!! My photographer, Hailey was awful. She didnt bring proper equipment to take outside photos so refused to take any photos in the sun. She gave no direction when taking photos so it was a huge cluster and did not go smoothly. She missed some pretty big moments and sporadically just went missing. Every photo of the groom and i is the exact same pose. I am so pissed off oh and to make up for my trouble they offered to send me the photo book of proofs before they put the photos online for the whole world to see. Guess what the photos are up and i have yet to receive that book!!! I spent all that money and thats what they say they can do and dont even do that!!! Please if you have them booked for your wedding re-​think it. Also get a videographer in case your photographer sucks like mine did because at least i have a good video.

Spend your money on a local photographer that you can talk to. These people do not even talk to the photographer that does your wedding. Horrible pictures unless you like the back of people’s heads. No family pics were taken. Mike was our photographer and has a great portfolleo but does not show it when he did our pics. A wedding is a special day and can’t be repeated and when you don’t have pictures that represent that day it’s s horrible feeling. When complaining to the business person Kira she reviewed the pictures and said they were typical wedding pictures. We didn’t pay for typical. We wanted special. Did not get it. Then when you order your prints that are included that should be mounted and they come not mounted and they just say we’re sorry. Well there sorry alright. Sorry service, sorry work. Sorry business.

I am torn writing this review. I booked Jolie images a year ago (my wedding was 11÷21÷15) and requested the photographer my brother in law used at his wedding last April. The people I spoke to when booking the services were very nice and answering any and all questions I had. The price was fair. My wedding day came and it was not the photographer I had requested. I will start by saying he was SO NICE.
But he was also late (it did snow-​but everyone knew it was going to snow). He was supposed to get to the grooms brothers house at 12 and then to my moms house at 1 to take pictures of the girls getting ready. He showed up to the grooms location at 1:05 and to my moms at 2:05– I had to leave my moms house at 230 for the church. So basically… I got into my dress and had 15 minutes worth of pictures. I have no pictures with my bridesmaids… no group photos with my bridesmaids.
It is very upsetting. Once my 3pm mass was over we had 20 minutes before the 5pm mass started to take as many pictures as we could (which is not his fault, those are the church rules). He took amazing pictures at my reception and we have great shots outside with the snow. He was a super nice person and made sure he got «the shots», but I am so upset about the lack of pictures in the beginning of the day.
I am looking forward to seeing my photos and receiving my disc– which I was told I have to pay for to have shipped to my house.
Update: I have spoken to the company who took no responsibility for the photographer being late. They said «they called him and he said I TOLD him to come at that time.» This company is absolutely insane. What bride would want the photographer to only take 15 minutes worth of photographs?

If I could give Jolie Images 0 stars I would.
I want to start out by describing me and my wedding just a little bit. My husband and I are pretty simple. I found my dress at the first store I went to, we visited 5 venues and picked 1 the day after visiting them, and we had a couple of friends do our engagement photos and thought they were the greatest photos ever taken. The only break down I ever had during our entire wedding planning process was about Jolie Images.
This is a bit of a long story, but I highly encourage everyone and anyone to read this before deciding to go with Jolie Images.
We booked Jolie Images about 10 months out and sent them our list of top photographers right away. When they finally got back to us we got our 3^rd choice. Not so bad, but also not as exciting as you’d hope because you always want your top pick. But that’s okay and we moved on. A part of the package we purchased (the $ 995 one) was that we were supposed to get a free engagement shoot so that they had photos to put on the cards they were going to hand out at our wedding. They never contacted us for it so about 2 ½ months before our wedding we contacted them and asked if we could set something up with our photographer to get this done. We thought it’d be a great way to get to know him, have him get to know us, and hash out a few details so everyone was prepared for the day of. I had some specific shots I really wanted to be taken and wanted to explain them a bit. Well, their consultant Jovan told me this was not possible because our photographer was busy. So then we asked if we could just have a short sit down meeting instead. The answer again was no he is busy. After a long and emotional conversation on the phone of me crying because I was so upset that I wasn’t even going to get to see/​talk with my photographer until the morning of my wedding, he said he would ask the photographer if we could have a phone conversation.
About a week later our photographer called us and we had a nice 45 minute conversation about what we wanted in terms of shots, style, and if it rained. This put our minds at ease for a bit and we wanted to make the best of the situation so we let the not having the photo shoot/​meeting him in person go. Well then the Tuesday before our wedding I get a call from our photographer again. However this time he called from a different phone number, had a slightly different name, and asked all the same questions as our conversation two months before. He also had a different style of how he liked to do his pictures. Confused? Yeah we were, too. We found out that Jolie tricked us and had some random consultant call and pretend to be our photographer to get us off their backs. Are you panicked yet?
Moving on to the big day. Our photographer, Mitch (MLV), was a very nice guy. But I’m sorry he is no professional. Photography is a hobby for him. And if you want to pay $ 1,000 for someone’s hobby well then I guess by all means. But I can tell you right now that every single one of the 1,500 photos we received from them were average. He made the most perfect day of our lives look average. And the specific shots I asked for and he looked at the morning of? All wrong or they weren’t even done. I don’t even have a photo of me and my grandmother but I do have a bunch of cheesy and horrible photos of me and my bridesmaids. We have about 5 bride/​groom photos and only 1 that we actually like and would want to frame. It was the biggest disappointment in the world to get these photos back and it’s all we have left of our wedding. Oh and it also took 7 weeks to get them back.
You seriously get what you pay for when it comes to wedding photographer. I completely understand staying on budget but the best advice I can give any bride is to not go cheap on your photographer. And I beg everyone out there to not sign with Jolie Images. Don’t believe me? Look at the majority of other reviews on this company. Mostly everyone will say the same things, if not worse, and I take full responsibility for not researching enough before making my choice.

This place is ridiculous. I hired them for my wedding a couple months ago, took the time to look through all the photographers and requested one that I liked stylistically. They called a week before my wedding to let me know that he was doing something else and that I would be given someone who was way better anyways (in their opinion). Real professional. shouldn’t all of your photographers have talent? But anyways, I politely accepted this new person. She did a fine job minus the fact that all of the pictures of us walking down the aisle had some sort of construction in the background, which she would have avoided had she used ANY other angle. I let that one go too because she was super sweet. But then when we pick up our proofs today, 2 of the discs that are supposed to be filled with our pictures are BLANK. Why did we pay these people again? You’re better off having Uncle Bob take your pictures, at least he’ll give a shit.

Pretty decent for what you pay. However, it does take forever to see your pictures. I’ve been waiting over a month for mine. The photographer i had was really nice. She did great at staying out of the way and not blocking peoples views when it came to first dance etc. She was very friendly and caring for our wants.
One thing i’d recommend is that when your photographer is leaving, make sure to check if you still have more time with the photographer before letting them go. My photographer was all packed up and ready to go a couple hours earlier than i payed for. I didnt get to get pictures with my guests at the reception because of this.
Another thing, with each contract you get wallet size photo cards to give to your guests at the reception, or at least thats what the contract says its for, but it isnt true, I received my photo cards in the mail two weeks after the wedding. bummer! So when signing the contract, make sure to go over it all and make sure that they keep their word.
Overall, I’d say this is a pretty decent company.

Photographer:
We booked Daniel Prawica (listed as «DP» on their site) and he did a VERY nice job. We didn’t have many pictures in mind for him to take, and he was comfortable taking the lead. He was very friendly and I’m sure would be fine with folks who bring in a list of photos they want him to take. A couple of photographer friends at the wedding said he uses nice equipment, and he ended up taking a little over 3,000 photos (being the only photographer).

Jolie Images:
Working with them was fairly easy, but here are a couple good things to know going in.
Your photographer won’t contact you until the week of the wedding (some of these photographers are shooting 3 weddings every weekend, so they only plan one weekend at a time). You’ll have to have a basic plan already made before coordinating with the photographer.
If you purchased the rights to the photos, you’ll receive a disk of all the photos (ALL the photos) roughly a month after the wedding. Jolie will touch up all of them, and they’ll start the album with 20 – 30 photo highlights (with more detailed editing).

We used Jolie for our wedding in December and I have nothing but wonderful things to say! Our photographer Vanessa was absolutely amazing. When I say she went above and beyond the call of duty that day, it is NO exaggeration. Two of my bridesmaids had issues with their dresses and Vanessa jumped right in to try to help. Later in the evening she was the one who finally figured out how to get me bustled! All of our pictures were amazing and they were available exactly when we were told they would be. More importantly they were just beautiful. Vanessa did an amazing job capturing this important milestone in our lives. She was professional but kind (especially to this nervous bride) and made sure to check in with us at the end of the night to see if there were any other shots we wanted before she left. Given how expensive photographers can be, I have to say that Jolie is not just a great deal, but a great deal for a great result!

I’ll admit Jolie Images’ price was what initially appealed to me. This was the only place I could find that didn’t charge a copyright fee per photo (which I think is absolutely ridiculous) so I thought I would give them a try.
I was a bit hesitant after reading the negative reviews on Unilocal regarding poor customer service and late delivery on the photos, so I asked a lot of questions prior to signing the contract, including an estimate of when we would receive our photos.
I’m not sure what these naysayers on Unilocal are talking about when they say the customer service was bad. It’s possible Jolie Images got new staff, but every single person I interacted with at the company was super friendly and helpful. I originally filled out a contact form on the Jolie Images website and was contacted by Jovan. Jovan was absolutely wonderful; he answered all of our questions and was always on top of my messages, whether I called or emailed.
As a disclaimer, I will say that my now-​husband and I decided to be flexible in regards to which photographer we had for the wedding. Rather than requesting someone specific, I asked Jovan to give us his recommendation. Jovan recommended Max as our photographer, and I am so thankful that he did.
Our photographer Max was absolutely phenomenal. He was fun to work with and fit right in with our wedding party. He not only catered to our needs and wishes, he also brought up great ideas when he was feeling inspired by the background. On top of this, he was very professional and kept us on schedule for everything. He wasn’t afraid to be assertive if he wanted to get a good shot, and I thought that was really helpful in getting the pictures that we wanted. My husband and I were seriously so impressed.
After the wedding, we were really excited to see our photos. We were given an estimate of 4 – 6 weeks to receive our photos. Jolie Images delivered in 3. We weren’t even back from our honeymoon before the pictures were available. I was very pleasantly surprised. On top of this, we got copies of all of our pictures, every single one of them.
I probably only posted about 10% of the images we were given, and we got so many compliments. Several people asked me who our photographer was, and I recommended Max with Jolie Images again and again.
There were a few very minor things that I wasn’t 100% happy with, so I will mention those briefly: 1) you don’t get to meet with your photographer before the event, so you don’t have the chance to see if he/​she really jives with you prior to the big day; 2) the photographer calls you only a day or two before the event; 3) we didn’t get to take some of the pictures I had mentioned wanting to take during that call (although it wasn’t a big deal and actually turned out to be a good thing because we were strapped for time — the day really does fly by!).

I got married Friday so this is still pretty fresh in my mind. Best time to review! :)
Prices are great. I think their starting package is about $ 950 and then you can increase your package after seeing your pictures to see if you want all the extra packages. We did the gold package so we could have a CD afterward, we’ll see how long it takes. Our photographer estimated 4 – 6 weeks with editing and everything. I’ve had several friends who had theirs through Jolie too and that sounds about right for when we were able to view theirs.
Our engagement shoot was pretty awesome. We paid the $ 50 so we could go to a forest preserve vs just taking them at the studio and get the rights on a CD. Well worth it :) The hours were a bit tricky to work in our schedules but we took them on a Tuesday night and got some pretty good shots in time for our Save the Dates. (We took them in mid September and they sent us the pictures about 2 weeks later so we could get everything out by mid October.)
Our photographer was Daniel, he is super awesome and did both our engagement session and wedding photos so we were really comfortable with him. He also knows how to bobby pin a veil in, how to help your MOH figure out how to start the corset on the dress, and lots of other info he has picked up along the way. It was kind of like having an extra coordinator :) He’s also a super positive minded guy so that was helpful because things got a little stressful on wedding day when it tried to rain during our allotted picture time.
Also, our Coordinator was Nicole and she was super quick to always get questions answered and remind about upcoming deadlines. She also gave us a list of picture locations to check out around our venue to get some research in.
They also take credit cards for all payments so that was really nice as well.
I’ll update again once we get our wedding pictures in but I’ve seen our engagement pictures and several of our friends’ wedding pictures and I have no worries :)

There is a saying in life «you get what you pay for.» That saying is perfect for a review of Jolie images. By far, this was the worst vendor we used. Picking Jolie is one of the only regrets we have from our wedding. You are better off going to a local photography class and hiring a student with approximately 8 hours of instruction. He could probably do a better job than the photographer Jolie sent to do our wedding. Unorganized and incompetent. This pictures turned out horrible. Please do yourself a favor and pay for a photographer that knows what they are doing. I am a novice photographer with a canon 70d at home and am confident that my personal camera was
better than what the «professional» «photographer» used at our wedding. STAY AWAY!!!

If I could give them no stars I would. Before booking them keep in mind that after you receive you’re digital proof which is 6 to 8 weeks after your wedding (ONLINE ONLY) and 12 weeks to actually receive the book and CD of PROOFS, after putting an order form for your album it takes 12 – 16 week to get and online PREVIEW and after you approve it it takes 6 – 8 weeks to actually get your wedding album. How many weeks is that? They are RIDICULOUS with the amount of time they have you wait on your photos. Ill be viewing my album I believe somewhere April-​May of 2015 our wedding was August 31^st, 2014. Please don’t hire them!

If you’re anything like me, you’re a normal person who spends normal amounts of money for things. And then you start wedding planning. Suddenly every single thing is 1,000 times more expensive than it should be. And you start doubting yourself. Should I spend $ 3,000 for a wedding photographer? Surely spending anything less will just result in some weirdo taking pictures with his iPhone. Should I sell a kidney on the black market to pay for the photographer? (I suppose I am only using one…) But hold on there! Because you can get an excellent affordable photographer right here at Jolie Images.
Working with Jolie Images was a breeze. From the initial consultation (which we were totally late for and they didn’t even fuss about it) right up to the wedding day, everyone at Jolie was courteous and professional. They promptly answered all my questions and were always available if I needed to speak with someone. I had no problems with their customer service.
Our photographer, Anthony, was amazeballs. He showed up early, took every picture I requested (and then some!), and was very efficient. We actually had time to spare! Anthony was creative, funny, and an all-​around great guy to work with. He kept everyone laughing and made us all very comfortable having our pictures taken. I absolutely adore my wedding photos. Not only were the posed shots great but he got some awesome candids at the reception. I told him before the wedding that I didn’t really care about the decoration details but I really wanted pictures of all the people there and he totally delivered. So many great combinations of families and friends in the photos. I’m just in love with these pics y’all.
After reading some of these reviews I want to point out some things:
1. Yes it does take about 6 weeks to get your photos online for viewing. My wedding was 9÷20÷14 and my photos were online 11÷6÷14. Maybe I’m crazy but that really doesn’t seem like a long time to me at all. I actually think 6 – 8 weeks is a pretty standard time frame to see your wedding photos (I’ve heard some people wait 3 months to get their pictures). It also takes awhile to get the disc with all the pictures on it, like 12 – 15 weeks from the event date. So keep that in mind.
2. You do not get to choose your photographer. It says that right in the contract. I requested a specific person when I booked Jolie over a year before my wedding date. I did not get that person. Was I upset about it when I found out the week of the wedding? Yes. (But, truth be told, there wasn’t a whole lot that didn’t upset me that final week before the wedding.) But it turned out great. Anthony was an awesome photographer and he really gelled with our group. I could not have picked a better photographer for our wedding. I’m glad I didn’t get the person I requested because Anthony ended up being the perfect photographer for us.
3. You do get what you pay for. Are you going to get editorial pictures worthy of People magazine? Probably not by most bride’s standards. But you know what? I’m actually not a famous celebrity trying to auction my wedding photos to the highest bidder. So I personally didn’t see the sense in spending a whole lot more money to get fancy schmancy photos. You know what you will get with Jolie Images? Wedding photos that completely capture the love and happiness that surrounds you on your wedding day. Those are the wedding pictures I want.
I would definitely recommend hiring Jolie Images as your wedding photographer. I think people may need to adjust their expectations a bit (frankly I could say that for the entire wedding industry…) Here’s what I do know: I loved my photographer, I love my wedding photos, and I do not have one single regret in hiring Jolie Images for my wedding.

I was very pleased with Nicole, she was very helpful all the way through to our wedding day. I want to give special thanks to Ricky, our photographer for our wedding Oct. 10, he was very professional and easy to work with. He was very patient with everyone, he was creative with our photos and we all had a great time. He also was the first to run out to find our rings during our ceremony… since the best man left them laying around the chapel. We got a lot of comments on how nice and professional he was. Thanks Ricky! We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.

I used Jolie Images for my wedding on 7÷19÷14. I would reccomend them to any couple looking for a good deal on quality wedding photograph. Here is a list of the good and bad experiences with Jolie Images:
My photographer was Justine.
Pros:
— Easy to book, minimal deposit.
— Many pricing options, and for their most expensiev package, you get a lot of product. I know many friends who paid much more than $ 1500 and that did not include an album.
— My pictures turned out wonderful, better than expected. I am very happy with the quality.
— All important moments were caught, and usually with more than one angle/​photograph option.
Cons:
— They changed my photographer last minute
— My photographer literally rolled her eyes and made me feel like an idiot in the church when I asked her to take more pictures than she had taken, she only shot for 5 minutes when she said she was done.
— Photos were posted online later than promised, BUT Jolie Images then added an extra option to our package and promises to ship our proof book and DVD for free.
