Make sure to never ask for a second to go container. Three employees in the line gave me a hard time about. When I got to the cashier, she also gave me a hard time and said«may next time you can just get a regular size salad.» Next time, Ill wont go to Salata. Is the to go container really worth losing a customer over? Change your cost structure if they are worth so much.

Build your own salad with fresh and delicious ingredients. There are a ton of topping options. High quality proteins… definitely one of my favorite lunch spots.

I like the wide variety. We come to eat here all the time from work. They have salads, soups and wraps. We have been able to keep ourselves occupied with a variety of lunches. Nice service, best to preorder around lunch time.

Terribly expensive… They put about a tablespoon of the additives… I kept saying more… they throw in a quarter teaspoon more… for example cheese. Ridiculous. The chicken tortilla soup had no tortillas… hey said it was powder… made no sense… only had vegetables. Mno chicken either. Better at Sweet Tomatoes!

Love this place! Definitely on the high side for a fast casual lunch, but very good and fresh. I love that they label their items with GF or Vegetarian. The tomato soup is very good!

Very convenient if you looking to eat healthy. $ 10 for a whole bowl of salad that is good enough for 2 Servings. The vegetable and Protein are always fresh. Best salad bar so far that is very fast and convenient.

Very good, I like the concept. A lot of healthy options. I like the spicy Chipotle ranch dressing, it gives it a nice kick.

Ever since I discovered this fantastic place, my husband has been asking me at least once a week to bring him a big salad. We both get our veggies, I don’t have to cook — well, win win! The difference between Salata and any other salad bar is their selection and most importantly, their DRESSINGS! Hubby’s favorite is herb vinnaigrette, I tend to jump around, based on my mood. Unfortunately they do not sell them separately; the reasoning is that they are fresh with no preservatives. I guess, I will have to keep coming back as often as possible. The service is always extremely friendly and efficient. They have only two locations in Illinois, rest of them are in Texas and around LA. Hopefully they will keep expanding — perhaps Highland Park?

Little pricey but I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for. Always fresh every time I come here, limitless options to customize your salads and always delicious!

We love this place. Visit at least once a week. Very fresh salads and very friendly staff. It is cafeteria style where you get to pick your choice of different lettuce, toppings and protein and they mix it in a bowl for you. There is a wide variety of choices and no limit. You can eat there or take out. Only complaint is up charges. You pay extra for avacado, artichokes and your protein. I have seen a few people complain about the price but I feel you get what you pay for and if you want cheaper than you can go elsewhere.

Went here the other night for the first time, and it was pretty good! The food was fresh and the portion sizes are huge — a small is completely filling for a adult! The prices aren’t too bad either — $ 20 even for the 2 of us. We will be back for sure!

I want to love this place, I really do BUT the salad is just decent, the soup is good but small portions. They up charge you for EVERYTHING! Extra dressing sure an extra $ 1 please Ummm are you kidding?! My salad is already $ 15 with a small soup and your charging me another buck, Ha ! No thanks. I’m all about the healthy chain thing we are trying to do here but to much money for a eh so so meal. I’ll stick to coopers hawk for my $ 15 salad.

Salad is nice size portion and price is fair. Nice looking restaurant. I visited on August 8th. Entire location was empty with no patrons. I was ignored by all six staff members. I had to finally say hello. A nasty lady asked«yeah». I told her I had ordered on line. She angrily threw the two salads in a bag and walked away. I asked for forks and was ignored. I have contacted your corporate offices as this rude behavior is not acceptable in a customer service based industry. Your grade is an F for fail due to substandard customer service.

Ok so this is the equivalent of specialty salad places in DC and NY but just much less popular and frankly more overpriced. Options were pretty limited here, either mixed greens or spinach. If you want anything decent you have to pay around $ 10. Honestly that is just too much for a salad. You may as well bust out a recipe book and go make your own. Pretty nice ambiance, though it is situated in a strip mall. I wouldn’t say it is the next generation of salad per say, but maybe just a restaurant dedicated purely to salads and turning salads into wraps. Think of it as a healthier version of panera bread.

This is a great place for a great salad. They have lettuce, field greens, and spinach along with 10 or more items you can add to the salad, such as, carrots, black beans, olives and more in addition to chicken, salmon and more. Many types of dressings also available. If you want an awesome healthy dish for lunch you must try it. Well worth it.

It’s a salad joint. They give you a huge bowl of you pick your own toppings salad. It’s cool, take your time, make sure you understand your choices. I had a mixed greens with added shrimp and a few toppings. I felt that my salad wasn’t as big as my friends who’s been there a few times and has the routine down to an art. Salad and cup of soup, about $ 15, a little more than Panera but I think it is a good and healthy dinner spot.

Curse you Salata. I can only take one star off for your ridiculous prices. $ 11FOR A SALADBOWL? Technically $ 8 but the $ 3 is for adding the only protein — chicken($ 4 if it’s seafood though). It’s kind of pretentious to sell vegetables, which are already cheap, for such a crazy markup. It is all a set price and isn’t measured by weight, which means if you opt out of options like the second piece of bread, you can’t sub it for anything. And like Chipotle workers, they do skimp and tap the ladle to lighten the portion. The salads are delicious though because of the sauces. The veggies are very crisp and fresh, but the dressing makes the salad enjoyable. I couldn’t find any calorie info which is worrisome because a lot of their sauces are based with ranch dressing. I really like the taste of chipotle ranch, but it seems a healthier option is the fat free mango dressing. It pairs very well with salads that have fruit in them. The lemonades are fantastic! Same goes for the tea. It’s all chilled, but I would appreciate it if the tea could be served hot. I love love love the peach lemonade and the raspberry lemonade! The desserts are okay but definitely very tiny and not worth $ 1. I’d rather just walk over to Starbucks and indulge myself there. The employees are very fantastic people and polite. Since Salata recently opened it’s understandandable that they’re also confused too. I ordered a kids meal($ 6) to sample their salads but the worker had trouble finding the pieces to assemble the box. However, another woman was patient and let me sample the different sauces and chicken(go Asian style and pesto style!). The salmon filets are a bit small for $ 4, so I don’t suggest that. The soup is alright but nothing special and it’s the same three soups all the time. Unfortunately my cashier nearly overcharged me for the kids meal until another employee stepped in and corrected her because I pointed it out. I’m a bit annoyed though that they didn’t mention nor give me the free drink that comes with the meal. All in all, I think it’d be cool if they sold their dressings so I could make my own salad at home, but then they wouldn’t be in business!

Cool idea. I like my salads to be a little more simple than what other restaurants have sometimes. I like mine savory with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Where can you get that here? Maybe it’s more common than I think. I just don’t know the area.

I love the idea of a fast food that is healthy. I’m starting with the positives… The food looks fresh and there seems to be a good variety of choices if you have a limited diet. I walked in and a very perky young girl explained to me what was going on. I was a bit confused at first but felt pressured to order chicken salad because someone was behind me. Now if you want a full meal, salad and small soup with a drink at this place you are looking at paying close to $ 15 a meal. If you can get a full meal under $ 10 you are probably missing meat, a drink, or are eating a side salad portion. The salad didn’t knock my socks off, but was good. The soup was very good, but tasted a little salty. It was late in the evening, but the place didn’t look very clean. Overall, nice idea but I won’t be back. If I am going to pay almost $ 15 for a soup and salad I need to have a much better experience.
