Starbucks

Okay so let’s just say that I love Starbucks and was pretty crushed that my old BG location had closed but I had high hopes for this brand new one that comes with a drive through. They do get a point just for having the drive thru since the old location didn’t. The place is nice but it’s lacking comfy chairs. I mean, all we really want sometimes is to cuddle on a good comfy chair or couch and drink one of their delicious and over priced drinks. Is that too much to ask? Well, the way this location is built is they have more high top stools and bar chairs than actual comfy booths.
The people working here are pretty friendly so that’s also a plus as I really liked the old folks at the older Starbucks. Obviously prices and drink quality stays the same or so you would think, right. I’ve been here a few times now, a couple of times of sitting inside and a few times with the drive thru because I was so excited for that drive thru feature and I have to say I’ve been kind of disappointed with the drive thru. A few times now they have messed up my drinks, whether I have asked for easy ice and I got way too much ice or even the strength of the coffee or the amount of pumps of syrup for certain drinks. That’s annoying, since you wait some time driving through, only to drive out and be dissatisfied with your drink. Then you don’t really want to waste the time to go back and order another one since the whole point is for you to be in and out and faster than going in, especially during the winter time when you just don’t want to get out of your car. Inside, my experiences have been better because if they do mess up, I let them know and they will fix my drink but I think they need to really up their game in the drive thru since I will think twice about using that feature from now on especially since you pay upper prices here.
Another star that they do get is for a cute little outdoor section which is much larger than the old location so a star for that.

Typical overcrowded Starbucks. Not enough room to sit. Fast baristas and they got my order right. Room is just the issue though.

Anyone who wants to know what good customer service is needs to visit a Starbucks establishment. It seems that the way each customer is handled is the same, fairly, and with respect. This is no different from the service I received from this location.
As for the taste of the coffee, it does need improvement. For $ 6.37, my coffee should taste like it’s from the heavens. But, instead my coffee tasted burnt. It has an aftertaste of a the aftermath of a burned down village — if there was such a thing.
I give 5 stars for the service, but 1 star for the coffee. It needs improvement. So, hence my 3 stars.

Terrible Starbucks. Very dirty. Absolutely, no paper towels, toilet paper, or seat covers in women’s bathroom. Completely overfilled garbages around the store. If the bathroom and the garbages are not kept, what does that say about the business? Disgusting.

Pretty straightforward Starbucks. I’ve been here enough times to write a half way decent review. It’s much needed in the area. There’s not a whole lot that isn’t connected to a Target for coffee shops. Nonetheless, there are loads of people here.
To drive her, be aware of your drivers ed RX for way back when. The parking lot is an accident waiting to happen and it isn’t clear where the drive through starts. That being said, the line moves swiftly and the staff is helpful.
Inside, my husband made an interesting observation a while back. There are typically more males inside than females. This is really the only thing that separates this starbucks from others I’ve been to. Studying or working at this starbucks must be a thing because you can come here many hours of the day and you’ll see people working hard or appearing that they’re working hard on Facebook.

I am not sure why but this location and the one on Milwaukee Ave just can’t seem to get even simple orders right very disappointing. I have been drinking Starbucks coffee for 20 years and remember when they first started in Seattle, Washington in front of the Safeway grocery stores. I don’t know but maybe they all need to be retrained on how to take orders properly and how to correctly make the drinks. If I could I would give negative starts.

Maybe turn the drive thru speaker off before you start talking shit about the customer.

It’s Starbuck’s, so it’s expensive, but it is a fun treat like once or twice a year.

Slow. Painfully slow. Messes up orders about half the time. Floors and tables are a bit dirty often.
Not cool when you’ve waited nearly 20 minutes for your drink.

I go to a lot of different Starbucks stores, and this one is almost certainly at the bottom for a number of reasons:
1) they manage to be incredibly slow during non-​peak hours. The drive thru regularly takes 15 minutes to get through, and it’s only a line of four or five cars. There seems to be a lot of people working even when the line is slow, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
2) I have some questions about food preparation and handling related to this store. It’s nothing I can prove, but it seems like the milk for instance is often bad tasting as if it spoiled. I’ve had several drinks that were downright awful due to the milk added. I’m not sure what the cause is, but it’s concerning since I don’t encounter this kind of problem at other stores.
I will say that this store has incredibly nice and polite employees. They’re not quite as amazing as the Starbucks on Aptakisic, but they are far friendlier than the staff at the store near buffalo grove high school.
It’s a newer store, so hopefully they get their act together. The line is pretty slow considering I wrote this entire review midday Saturday while sitting in line and still haven’t ordered.

I went there after work on Wednesday night and the woman at the drive-​thru was so nice! She had a big smile and you could tell she really enjoyed her job! My order was quick and my drink was really good! I didn’t catch her name but she was great and I will go back there every time I go out to Wheeling!

This is the new Starbucks on Lake Cook in Wheeling, and it’s beautiful! Brand-​spankin’ new! It’s got a drive-​thru, the barristas were friendly, and they’ve even got a little outdoor patio with seating!
There is a drive-​thru, but it’s hidden on the side of the salad place that’s attached to the building. Great location!
