Wow! I had come here from a different hotel in Wheeling(because the other one was so gross) and I was amazed. They were clean, nice rooms, nice beds and pet friendly. Also a very decent breakfast!

Great place to stay. Our little family and fur baby(chihuahua) were able to rest and recharge after a long and horrible drive from Illinois to West Virginia in crazy winds and rain… Whew! It’s clean, updated and has everything you need for a nights stay. Affordable and friendly staff. I was able to decide on this hotel because of the other Unilocal reviews. Thanks Y’alls!

This place blew my mind, and not the wallet. It totally changed the way I will think of Super 8’s!!! I am no snob, but I typically would look into other places before I would consider a Super 8. I stopped in here during my trip, and after a quick online search the price was the most reasonable for the area… and one of the few that accepted pets. The guy at the front desk was nice, and he even told me where the pet area was. I thought ‘cool, not only do they accept pets, but they have a special place just for them’ however it wasn’t as cool as it sounded. It was literally a walk down a grassy slope, and that was it!!! Not a deal breaker, as long as they can relieve themselves. Parking is a little tricky and small, but manageable. My room was located at the very end of the hotel, and on the ground floor so I did not need to use the elevator. I was impressed just walking in the hallway, it smelled nice and you could tell it had been remodeled recently. I made my way to the room and there I was SUPER impressed. They have done a big remodel, I think due to being under the Wyndham brand. Regardless of who is running the place, they have done a terrific job. The room was really nice, spacious and well decorated. I was super tired, but I was able to appreciate what they put into the room. I agree with another reviewer though that the pillows were not the best… they were really soft but did not support your head, they kept sinking into the bed. Now to what really matters… the bed, and getting a good nights rest. It matters not how good the room looks if the beds are not up to par. The beds were amazing, so comfortable. I couldn’t believe that I was in a Super 8. I was so thankful to have found this place and got a restful sleep. Upon checking in, I was informed that they offered a free continental breakfast. Typically when on vacation I do not get up early enough to enjoy the perks such as this, but on this trip I did. The breakfast items are in a serving area located right by the front desk. They have a seperate dining room, with a tv for you to enjoy your meal. They had a pretty good selection of items, juice, coffee, tea, muffins, yogurt, pastries etc. What I liked most is that they had a waffle maker… yummm. Sometimes a hot breakfast item just hits the spot, especially when it is so cold. I should also note that the bathroom was nice, and it along with the linens were really clean. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling through Wheeling

We stayed in this hotel during the holidays while visiting family and like everything else in that dilapidated town, this place was a dump. The lobby smelled like smoke and the people at the front desk were snippy. The room was ok, nothing to be excited about. At least the sheets were clean. But the kicker was that the walls were PAPER thin! I could hear EVERYTHING going on in the hallways and in the rooms next to us. What seemed like a bus load of screaming children showed up at about midnight and kept us all awake until their handlers reigned them in at about 5AM. When we called the front desk to complain, NOONE picked up. The«breakfast» was some stale pastries, rotting fruit and lukewarm beverages. The parking lot is on a slope and is hard to navigate because people just park however they please. Upon checkout, I was going to pay in cash but the desk clerk just handed me a receipt without a word and walked away. After complaints, I received an apology from the owner which was thoughtful and she did offer me a free night but there’s no way I’m EVER going back to that town let alone stay in that hotel.

Nice and clean. Maids are friendly. There is a washer and dryer on site. We had a king bed and the room was a good size. Pillows were very flat and I had 2 purchase a couple. Parking is very tight when hotel is booked. There are several deliver restaurants there!

This Super 8 was the last stop on my trip from California to Maryland. When we pulled up to the motel, we were hopeful! The parking lot looked to be an afterthought, but the motel looks to be new, the lobby was nice, the staff was prompt, but as we were at the counter, we heard someone complaining about the cleanliness of their room. Unphased, we checked in and went up to our room. I was a bit bummed that there was no pool, and the price was a bit higher than the other Super 8s that I had stayed in, so was I paying for the newness of the motel, or the location? When we checked into our room, a strange smell hit us in the face. It wasn’t «bad,» but it wasn’t good either, so we opened the door. My mom then pointed out a splatter spot on the ceiling and asked me what it was. Come to find out it was coffee grinds and an explosion had happened, but… uh, why wasn’t it cleaned? It’s noticeable! Oh yea, try as I might, I couldn’t get the window to lock. Otherwise the room was clean. If I found myself in Wheeling again, I’d likely return to this Super 8, but I’d check for the above mentioned things first before settling in for the night.
