Not too bad. Older hotel. All the other hotels in Wheeling are price gouging. It is definitely a quiet place with no other hotels or housing around. It may not look like it, but it is one of the safer places in Wheeling. The hotel is mostly populated with oil and gas workers. The internet is slow a lot. Some of the rooms smell of smoke. Some don’t. Ask. He has a couple of remodeled rooms also. If you are just looking for a place to sleep that is cheap and nothing fancy. This is it. The owner Vince is a little goofy, but a really a nice guy and willing to accomidate. Always clean sheets and towels when you want them. There are plenty of things to do within walking distance.(why I like it– I don’t drink and drive) Go to Undo’s restaurant for dinner it is a excellent Italian restaurant. Plenty of food at a good price. Cheese bread is awesome. Directly across the street is a good coffee shop with gourmet sandwiches. It takes a while to cook them so don’t be in a hurry.(opens at 10am and is open late so it must be for hipsters…). Some nights they have live bands or karaōke at the coffee shop and serve beer. There is also an Irish pub a few blocks away. Head away from the Arbys and take a right at the next set of lights and head across the bridge and the pub is on the right. They have a DJ on Fridays and a band on Saturday. If you take the next road to the right after the pub there is a skate park, a walking path and baseball fields back there. –Source oil and gas worker lived here 3 months–

This place should be renamed the Bates Motel. Dirty. Nasty. Spiders. Bed was rock hard and linens were from the ‘60s. Think the TV was too… and it only had about three channels:(1) static,(2) the local high school talent show, and(3) amateur p0rn. $ 50 for double beds. Plus, only accepts cash… do places really still do that? I don’t know why I’m giving it a second star. I think for the character of the place, if you can call it that. Or maybe just the fond memories of the night my friend, my cat and I were driving cross country, wanted to stop in Bethleham, WV and there were no mangers(or motels) available so we went two exits down and found this… and had an amusing time making fun of the short films on option 3 on the telly. lol
