Best burgers! You can get Coleman’s fish on texas toast. I have eaten about everything on the menu and it is all good. They also have a huge beer selection with craft beers on tap. Best place to eat in the area.

Great atmosphere and service. Small place, but they are great people here. We dropped in on a Tuesday afternoon, had some wine, some beer, and their awesome chips and salsa. We highly recommend the wine and the chips and salsa. Prices are pretty low as well.

Don’t let the name fool you. This is more of a neighborhood pub then a «wine bar». On the smaller side with bar and table seating. Decent beer selection and nice pub menu. Prices were very reasonable and portions were huge. Only ordered apps and a couple of salads but they very good. Beers were cold. Service was friendly. Nice place to stop when in Wheeling

Pretty standard bar food. I enjoyed having a new option in Wheeling though. Nice portions, reasonable prices. Beer selection looked to be much better than expected. Also, service was good.

Love it. Simple fare, generous portions(not gluttonous), nice beer selection and moderate pricing. This place is a good value. It’s a little small for large groups, but I’m sure that a group of 12 or fewer would be well satisfied.

We stopped for lunch the other day. My salad was wonderful — fresh and wonderfully blended mix of garden greens and seasoned chicken. Definitely will return.

Stopped in here on a Friday night around 8:30. It was packed but my friend and I were able to get seats at the bar. We were waited on immediately and given menus. Menu wasn’t what I was expecting at a bar. It was pretty impressive. I had a chicken Caesar wrap with sweet potato fries and my friend had a grilled chicken Club sandwich. Food was served quickly and I was pretty impressed. Everything tasted fresh. Fries were still hot from the fryer. My wrap was a good size on what looked like a spinach wrap. Everything was excellent on my end. My friend’s sandwich was huge…2 giant pieces of grilled chicken were stacked on top of each other. This is a great little place in Centre Market. Centre Market/downtown Wheeling need more places like this to keep the night light happening! Will definitely be back!

The only bad thing about Market Vines is trying to get a table when they are super packed! The food is delish! Try one of the burgers or the torch, an amazing chicken sandwich! The salads are wonderful too. One of my go-to lunch places. Love it! And there’s an extensive beer selection too.

The beer selection is nice. The food is your standard Sysco fair. Nothing special. Lots of grease. The beer selection is nice and I did enjoy the deep fried banana pepper rings.

Anyone that knows me knows that I’m the last person at the table to complain about anything, not just at a restaurant but pretty much anywhere in public. I avoid confrontation like it’s the plague. But I truly feel like it owes my long, drawn-out Facebook rant today. [name redacted] and [name redacted] and I visited Market Vines because we’ve enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the past. We decided to go there for dinner. We walked in to the crowded bar area, told the bartender our name and told her we would like a table. We waited 15 – 20 minutes and then someone told us our table was ready so we sat down. We enjoyed our dinner, the music, our waiter and pretty much everything else, until we paid our check. After we paid and were getting ready to leave, the owner of Market Vines walked up and asked if we «cut someone in line to get this table». After questioning her judgement, I asked what she meant, as her waitress personally sat us. She said, «well, was your name on the list?». And I said, «I think so, she asked me for my name and then they sat us». Then she came back after talking with her bartender and said, «okay, I guess it’s fine». Mind you, we had eaten dinner, bought a couple of beers each and I used my hard-earned money to pay for it all. I felt pretty upset that I had to be asked whether I cut someone in line for a table at some tiny«restaurant» like the place was in the midst of New York City on a Saturday and I wasn’t good enough to be there. So I went to the bar and let her know that I wasn’t very happy that she made us look like idiots, in the nicest way possible. Her response was«I don’t care what you have to say, I do that all the time, f*ck off». Hmmm, so that one didn’t go over well. I figured I would let my server know how well he did in front of her, and that I appreciated his awesome service, even though he had to work for that bitch(me, pointing at her). I left, and it was raining(like it was a metaphor for the worst is yet to come). We stood under the awning for a few minutes, as I tried to digest how rude this lady just was to me. As we waited, she came out to give me an «apology» that ended up being«I have to act like that because young people come in here all the time and steal people’s tables». As I wouldn’t let her speak as she continued to try and«apologize», she tried to reason with my wife, which most will know is an even bigger mistake. The lady got mad at me continuing to interrupt her, so she went inside and screamed to the entire bar that«there was some dick outside being rude and yelling at me». The owner’s husband and his cross-eyed crony then came storming out to let me know that they weren’t happy. He pointed in my face, got shockingly close to me as I restrained myself. My wife decided to use her survival skills, so she pulled out her cell phone to tape the guy in case he hit me. The lady owner then slapped my wife’s cell phone out of her hand(good luck with that). I held [name redacted] back because she was quite angry and at that point the guy started to realize that maybe his crazy-ass wife was the one who should be worried. I decided it was in our best interest to leave at that point, despite my shockingly-strong urge to throw this guy through the window on top of his wife who just smacked my wife’s hand. The owners and their friends walked into the bar, with a few last mentions of «disrespectful 25-year-olds» and letting us know we were never welcome back. As much as this sounds like a movie plot or something that happens in much worse places, I truly felt the need to write all of this down. I’ve NEVER been treated so poorly anywhere. I’ve seen drunken idiots kicked out of bars in better fashion. I know my cousin that owned two successful restaurants in Pittsburgh probably cringes while he reads this. I have little to no faith about the future of business in Wheeling after last night. If people act like this here, how can it be any indication that it will be different anywhere else. Us «young assholes» are the ones who need to be here for you to succeed. Maybe you open a «restaurant» so you can accommodate all of your friends(they were the ones who must have got skipped for a table), but you’re not going to be open much longer if that’s your idea. I was really sorry to be a part of it. I’m not sure if this is the end of this discussion or not. I was on a couple committees to better Wheeling and enliven its future and have put in time and effort to make it better, but I really have no interest in any of that anymore. Market Vines, you’ve ruined any faith I had that things could improve. I hope to never see you again.

I have never had such an awful experience in a restaurant that had nothing to do with the food or service. When my friends and I walked in, the place was rather busy and the bartender asked us if we’d like a table. After replying that we would, she wrote our name down and we purchased drinks and waited for something to open up. After about 15 minutes she said, «That table over there is yours once it’s cleaned up». We sat down and enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, dinner and the live music that was playing. After about an hour, we paid our bill and were finishing up when the owner of the restaurant approached us and asked if «we stole the table, because there is a waiting list». After telling her we gave our name to her staff and were told to sit at that table, she went to check the waiting list, came back and said«I guess it is okay». We were taken aback by the rudeness of the owner and felt it could have been asked in a different manner. At that point, we decided it was better to leave the rest of our meal and walk out. My friend approached the owner and told her we didn’t appreciated being treated with such rudeness and it’s a shame she acts like that toward customers. The owner told my friend that she does that all the time and she doesn’t care what he thinks. While we were outside, standing under an awning two businesses down from Market Vines, the owner comes outside to «apologize». However, after telling her we did not want her apologies, she said, «I’m not f***ing sorry, f*** you. Never come back.» I was so astonished by her reaction and the way she had treated us, as paying customers, that I said nothing except, «Don’t worry». She then went inside and came back out with 2 men and another woman; one of the men(the owner’s husband) got in my friend’s face and starting screaming at him and poking my friend in the chest with his finger. My friend’s wife then took out her phone to video tape their outrageous behavior and the woman owner hit her hand away and grabbed her phone, all while screaming obscenities at us. The owner made it very clear that«young people like us» are not welcome in her establishment. I have never been treated in such a manner for waiting for a table, eating food, drinking beverages and paying a bill. I do not recommend supporting this restaurant or its owners. I’m saddened that small business owners treat their customers with such disrespect, especially in a town that needs businesses like this to revive its struggling downtown.

Very nice little restaurant in Centre Market. Awesome beer selection, and great sandwiches and wraps. I particularly enjoy the Reuben wrap. A friend swears they have the best burgers in the Valley, but I can’t personally verify this-I can say they have a large and creative burger menu. Reasonably priced and friendly, although the service can be a little slow at lunch time. Definitely a winner!

A friend told us about this place in Centre Market. Wow! The food was delicious. They said they had great burgers. Served on toasted bread, they must soak it in a vat of butter! My wife got the market rueben –money! They’ve got a ton of imported beers. Great place i would highly recommend.

After calling and checking what their hours would be on Saturday, we were expecting to go and have dinner and celebrate my cousins 25th birthday. After driving from Pittsburgh to meet up for the celebration, around 6pm, Market Vines was at a picnic and would not be opening back up for the rest of the evening?! That would have been nice to know when I called. Too bad.

Great selection of beers but I’m not into that. This California girl was delightfully surprised at their very extensive and reasonably priced wine selection. Happened to be there when they had a live band The New American Groove who are awesome and equally as eclectic as the beverage selection. Great night, good people great music.

The Grecian Festival was taking place and I really wanted a gyro but it was a 1,000 degrees so the significant otter and I opted for an indoor venue that gave us a chance to visit another of WV’s 101 Unique Places to Dine. The restaurant has a nice menu with salads, burgers, wraps and sandwiches. Their beer selection is good, and I’m guessing they have a strong wine selection though we didn’t look at that(1,000 degrees calls for cold beer). We both ordered an «on the vine» sandwich; the Otter got some kinda deli meat and I got steak. The sandwich comes with fries and slaw on it. We both enjoyed our sandwiches and the cold beer. The service was very friendly, and it seems as if it would be a nice place to hang out if you live nearby.

Market Vines probably has the best bottled beer selection of any bar in Wheeling. I’m not 100% sure if that is a true statement, but they do carry Rogue. That’s big time, in my book. My wife and I also enjoyed our dinner, but found it just a tad on the greasy side(earning it 4, instead of 5 stars). The chips were homemade and enjoyable. I ordered their special, which was a Fish Rueben. It was a fantastic concept, in my opinion. The sandwich was toasted rye bread, thousand island dressing, lettuce and two deep-fried filets from Coleman’s(across the street). I think the sandwich would have been better with only one filet, as the fish taste over-powered any other flavor that it might have offered. Also, I thought that ruebens had sauerkraut on them and not just lettuce. As a bar, it has very good food. As a wine bar, there could be less fried food and more fresh options. Either way, we will definitely eat here again.
