Amanda did my daughter’s senior portraits today. She did an amazing job. She really «got» my daughter and didn’t try to push her into girly poses and backgrounds that wouldn’t have captured her at all. I can not wait to see the final product! But this was VERY stressful going in for my shy daughter who is not a «typical» girl, and Amanda made it a very good experience for her. Which was a big relief for me! :-)

VIP is a really well-​run photo studio that’ll give you a fun session and awesome final results. The staff is warm and helpful and it’s amazing what they can do with a tough portrait subject. Case in point: my 3-​month old Eskie puppy! This little guy was such a terror at that age that I almost didn’t bother trying to get his pictures done, but he was so cute that I decided to give it a try. The studio’s manager, Kim, ended up doing the shoot and I was way impressed by how well she was able to get the pup to sit still and look at the camera. The session was a lot of fun (they have tons of different backgrounds and props to choose from) and the pictures were fantastic! I’m looking at the one we got framed from that day right now, hanging on my wall, and am so glad to have such a lovely remembrance of my dog’s puppy days.
Most of their trade, I think, is not dog photos, but these folks are super-​flexible and will do all different kinds of photo sessions. I have friends who have used them for family portraits and business headshots who have also been really happy with the results.
