First time in West Virginia and this coffee shop was my first destination. It’s located in this old building that looks cute from the outside, but unfortunately doesn’t have the most appealing interior design on the inside. The clientele inside I’m guessing were older locals that were regulars. I definitely felt a bit out of place and that it was obvious I was from out of town. The prices were extremely reasonable and you can pay in cash or with a credit card if you spend $ 5 or more. I ended up getting a hot chocolate and a vegan Oatmeal Pumpkin Spice cookie that was from a local baking company called World’s Best Cookie. The hot chocolate was very good and so was the cookie. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable enough that I wouldn’t really want to come back though next time I pass through.

This is a really cute coffee shop across the street from the Convention center. They have a fairly large space that looks like a living room with 2 sofa seats. They offer free WIFI as well. I love this place because they Roast their own coffee beans! They can customized your latte since they have a variety of flavors and powders. There’s also several brewed coffee pots that you can sample as well. Their default milk is nonfat! They sell pastries too but not sure if they’re homemade. My cranberry white chocolate biscotti was perfect with my extreme toffee latte.
