This place doesn’t deserve a star except for the friendly hotel staff. That’s it. I’d say it’s a cross between the Bates hotel and the Shining! Seriously, the room door hit the dishwasher, followed by an over whelming smell of garbage. When the heat turned on a blast of stench like that of burning socks came from the heater. This was caused by filthy filters. The cups, plates, and silverware were also dirty. Judging by the setting on the dishwasher, only a rinse cycle had been used previously! GROSS! Good to know other guests recycle bottles and cans, too bad the maid didn’t empty the pail. Also noteworthy; If you like vintage things you’ll love the blankets. Carpets had more stain than the wood trim. My gym workout consisted of trying to find a piece of equipment that worked, or didn’t have duct tape on it. We traded our Marriott time share to come here for 3 nights! Big mistake. We left the next day.

We got here at 7:45 pm just to find out the restaurant and bar was closed. There is an annoying house fly in the living room. Half of the video-games in the game room are out of order as well. And to top things off, there is no wifi here. Go stay at a flea and bedbug ridden roadside motel and get more bang for your buck.

I am writing just about the spa. It is open and the staff was wonderful. The check in girl was nice and friendly as were our masseuses. Me and my bestest friend went here after our Dash for another yearly tradition. I feel as though they are trying to be the resort with the wonderful spa but they are not there. The massage was nice and relaxing and the price was good for the 85 minute stone massage but we were very worried driving up to the place. It was a little scary and we wondered whether we were heading to a closed facility. It is old and run down. I bet this place was hopping in the 70’s. It smelled funny, like old cigarette smoke and moldy something, in the lobby. The spa could certainly use some updating but again the staff was wonderful. The resort. eh…if we do a spa trip next year we won’t go back here. Again, a shame because the staff at the spa was nice. We will choose another. This place is just, eh… I will pass. They need to update this place in the worst way, heck, even paving the driveway on the way in would help.

So I have to admit I was a bit worried thinking that I was coming to this location. I had read a few negative reviews on the web, however, my overnight experience was not bad!(Time share stay) Our apt, although outdated, was spacious and clean The first thing I did when we got in the apt was search for bed bugs and to my surprise when I flipped up the sheets the mattresses were new crispy clean, so were the sheets and the covers and pillows, «whew» Bathrooms were clean and they even had Bath and Body Works shampoo and soaps. Water pressure was good. Lol 1 flat screen tv in the livingroom 1 tube tv in the room Ac’s were ice cold No Wifi in apt Stove was outdated but functional All the amenities were open for use. Both pools, restaurant, game room, fitness room etc. My inlaws stayed the rest of the week with our 5yr old and they took advantage of everything and had a nice time. But they will not be returning. They have def been to much nicer timeshares. The facility could use a good facelift in and out.

Sheesh. Should’ve read the last review. 1) no wifi 2) no restaurant 3)spa — closed til further notice 4)arcade– 1 game Everything NOLONGERINSERVICE!!! Absolutely desolate/dilapidated property. Filth everywhere. Broken everything everywhere. NOTHINGFORMILES!!! Please do not get hungry after dark because there’s nothing for milesssssssss! Minimum 30 minute drive. This place is so bad I feel sorry for their staff. They are the NICEST bunch ever. Hopefully the new owners really will restore this property because I can tell it used to be a great place to visit(maybe in the ‘60s/‘70s). Great pool btw(I didn’t try it out). I stayed one night and it was only because I drove 3.5 hours and first night was non-refundable.

I would hardly call this a «Resort», my husband and I exchanged our timeshare with Interval International to go to this resort and do some skiing. While Mother Nature was not in our favor as the weather has been unseasonably warm, the ski resorts were able to make snow and all was not lost. Anyways, back to Mountain Laurel. This place is VERY outdated, as seen by the actual metal keys we were given for our room, and the cigarette vending machine circa 1970’s bowling alley style in the lobby. Also, they probably had about 2 dozen guests while we were there(1÷7÷12−1÷13÷12) and I think we were all put in the same wing. Nothing like screaming kids across the hall when the entire place has over 600 units… Our room was okay, but not what we had expected. It basically was 2 adjoining hotel rooms converted into one unit(You could access your room from the kitchen, or the next door down the hallway which would get you into your vanity/bedroom area). The unit comes with 2 full beds(very uncomfortable I might add) and a pull out couch, 2 bathrooms/showers, and a separate sink/vanity area, full kitchen(apartment size fridge and stove), and dishes/glasses/utensils. They must also have a water softener because it took FOREVER to get clean(shower/washing hands/dishes). Beware though, if you run out of toilet paper you have to pay for more. Yes, they nickel and dime you for everything. Toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, soap, etc. And you have to pay extra if you want a mid-week housekeeping service. However, they do offer a linen exchange mid-week at no charge, you just fill out a form with what you want exchanged, put your dirty stuff in a pillowcase and leave outside your door… Also on the nickel and diming front, you have to pay to play billiards or air hockey, there is not much entertainment at this place. If you are tech savvy and need to stay connected while on vacation, forget it! There is not wi-fi through out the resort, however you can either use the phone line in your room for $.50 each time you connect or haul your stuff to the lobby to connect to their limited range wi-fi. Even this was difficult to connect to and not worth the hassle. The only restaurant and bar on the premises are closed all week, only open Fri-Sun. As far as it was posted seemed like this was the standard operating schedule, however, come to find out towards the end of our trip, the first 2 weeks in January are DEAD in this area, so maybe it is only during the slow season and maybe in the busier times they are open more. The staff were friendly and very efficient, but I would not recommend this place.
