Big Kev’s BBQ is insanely good!!! I stumbled across this food truck while searching on Unilocal after visiting a resort in the area and my god was it good! First of all, the people are very nice, and they have a good amount of picnic tables to sit at and eat while watching the traffic drive by. As for the BBQ, it was amazing. THe baked beans are some of the best I have ever had, the meats(I got the sampler) were all great. The ribs were tender, flavorful and worth the drive alone. I hope that I can return to Big Kev’s one of these days because their bbq is competition quality to say the least!

Stopped a few times this summer and was very happy with the items I bought. The ribs are some of the best I have had and the pulled pork is very good too. I prefer my pork chopped, but even though it’s the popular stringy pulled pork, I enjoyed the flavor and quantity. I have tried his beans and sauces, but they have just a tad too much taste of chili powder for my taste, which doesn’t make them bad, just not quite right for me. Any time I need a BBQ fix, this place will be my go to place! Keep up the good work.

BESTBBQ place that I have ever stumbled upon with my boyfriend on our travels. The meat was perfection melt in your mouth goodness. If I ate that everyday I would be perfectly fine with it. The staff is super friendly and the fact that it’s just at a stop on the side of the road just makes it even better. My boyfriend and I split the sampler which is a little of everything from their fall off the bone ribs, succulent brisket, to their smoky pulled pork. We also got a brisket sandwich with the hot BBQ sauce and a side of corn bread which tasted delicious and lastly we got the fresh squeezed lemonade which made it feel like a complete summer BBQ meal. I wish this place was closer to my house because it is absolutely out of this world.

There aren’t enough stars to post a proper review for this place! it was amazing! After a weekend of craptastic food at nearby villa roma, the wife and I stopped here on the way home. At first I was turned of by the fact that its a food truck. I was expecting the absolute worst, but instead was BLOWNAWAY by the amazingness that is the tiny little menu out of a tiny little trailer. Seriously, its the only reason to be in this area. I would make the trip 2.5 hours from where I live just to eat here. Big kev is my effin hero.

I am a huge BBQ snob(spent lots of time in NOLA and MS). This was some of the best pulled pork I have ever had. Not to dry not too moist and flavorful. Quite special. Brisket was also very good. Ribs were ok. I’ll have dreams about the pulled pork though. Also the hot sauce was awesome and true fresh squeezed lemonade.

While I was spending some time in Narrowsburg New York with the wife at a B&B glimping place, as I was driving by White Lake one day, we see this giant truck pulling a big wooden log cabin with a huge smoker sitting atop of it parked on the side of a parking lot. My wife and I looked at each other and were like wtf is that and laughed out loud. So we quickly looked it up on Unilocal and saw BIG KEVs BBQ with a 5 star right next to it… Then we both screamed. NO we are not crazy, you have to understand the location we were at was extremely remote with the closest restaurant being 5 – 10 miles away and most being your local diners, café and bars. Not that the local diners, café and bars are not good enough for me but since I’m on a semi vacation, I was looking for something that’ll blown me away. Big Kevs BBQ is located right at the intersection of State Rt 17B and Royce Road in White Lake, NY. It’s hard to miss since Big Kev’s BBQ Truck is colorful and almost unusually parked in the middle of an open parking lot. Parking: You won’t have a hard time looking for parking around here; the whole area is like an empty parking lot. I called them before I head over since other Unilocalers said sometimes they’ll run out of food but luckily for us, the guy on the phone(super friendly guy) asked what I want and said he can save it for me until I get there! We got there at around 2pm and there was no line no nothing, just a few parked cars and a couple of people sitting in the picnic table area. We were greeted by the very friendly cashier at the window, she asked if we ever been here before and we said no, she said if we wanted to try a bit of everything, we should go for the sampler– which comes with ribs, pulled pork, brisket and 1 side. SOSAMPLERITIS! And because I love ribs, we added another ½ rack ribs to our order. After we picked up the food at the window, we headed over to one of the many picnic tables and enjoyed our feast. Our feast came in plastic Styrofoam boxes and my sampler box weighted at least 2 lbs. My mouth was watering and I almost passed out when I opened the box. So much meat, they all looked so glazed up and juicy and there was a sweet smoky aroma in the air. The pulled pork was incredibly moist and smoky; it had a good balance of fat/meat ratio so it tasted super juicy. The sauce was sweet with a hint of vinegar, every bite was melts in your mouth good and it didn’t feel overly greasy at all. DELICIOUS!!! The brisket was a bit more on the charred side, although I do enjoy my bbq on the charred side but some of them were just so charred that I had to cut them out. Aside from a few overly charred pieces, majority of it were smoky, moist and tender. The color were gorgeous, they were not overly fatty but still had enough fat to make every bite a juicy one. The rub was flavorful so I didn’t need to add any additional BBQ sauce to it. ALSODELICIOUS!!! MYFAVORITE had to be the Baby back RIBS– I must say these ribs were probably some of the best ones I had in years. My first bite of it was really an OMG moment, the meat falls right off the bones while maintaining a good amount of texture. It had a very smoky flavor, very juicy and moist. The glaze was a killer, it was almost like a seal around the ribs to keep it super moist and tender. I’m just glad we ordered extra because those ribs were gone in the blink of an eye. This is a MUSTGET folks! We had the baked beans for side and it was very sweet, maybe a little too sweet for my taste but nevertheless it was smoky and a good compliment to the brisket. Price: Super affordable! $ 14 for the sampler with Pulled pork, Brisket and ¼ rack Ribs– that’s a steal! Overall: Given the location and the scarcity of restaurants around the area, Big Kevs is easily a 5 star! Excellent customer service, delicious food and great price makes Big Kev’s one of the best around NY(I dare say). Just make sure to come early(they closes at 6pm daily) or call before heading over because once they sell out, they are done for the day!

Wow wow wow. BESTBBQEVER. Very impressed. I have had my fair share of bbq but this by far the best I have ever had. Located on the side of the road in a parking lot(like it should be), this bbq place will blow your mind. I had the sampler($ 14) so I can taste everything possible. My fav was the pulled pork– perfect flavor and so moist but not fatty. The ribs were perfect as well– fall off the bone. And the brisket was fantastic. I also had their grilled corn which was simple and delish. What really impressed me will surprise you. It was actually their lemonade($ 2). Not from the mix! Can you imagine fresh squeezed lemonade? I was surprised and was so happy that I found an authentic BBQ place. There is the cleanest port-a-potty with a sink and plenty of tables for you to enjoy your BBQ in comfort. Would recommend anyone to this great place.

Oh and their homemade lemonade is the bomb!!!

We used Big Kev’s to provide the food for a family event that that we threw. Everything was cooked wonderfully! On top of that it only cost us about $ 360 to feed 30 people. We got chicken, ribs, and two sides for that. We actually didn’t need that much food in the end. But everyone was more then happy to take home doggy bags. This has been some of the best food we’ve had in Sullivan county. Hands down!!!

Fantastic BBQ. Love the Brisket and the Chili is the best on football Sunday in October. Very happy they are in the area, wish it was all year round. Bubba’s should merge with them and put these guys in charge of food.

Big Kev makes the best BBQ for 100 miles(at least!). My wife and I discovered this place while looking for someone to cater our wedding in the Catskills. We drove over and had this food and instantly decided to hire them. Donovan(Kev’s cousin I think) did our wedding and it was a HUGEHIT! They later did David Cross’ wedding but we were first David! So yeah, Kev and Donovan have celebrities driving miles to eat their BBQ so you can bet it’s that good! Thanks for being there fellas! See you soon! And for the rest of you who haven’t eaten at Big Kev’s, its totally worth the drive from Bethel Woods or beyond! Their Brisket shames anything you can get in Brooklyn, utterly shames it.

Kevin does BBQ the way it should be. It’s the real deal and simply doesn’t get any better. With a food truck smoker and roadside pick nick tables, Big Kev’s shows them all how country BBQ is done with exceptional taste, texture and country love!

Hands down best bbq around. First grab some pulled pork at last year’s harvest festival and now I stumbled upon it again. MUSTGO if you are nearby or far away. Everything is amazing. Baked beans are a definite need to try. I personally loved the brisket but the pulled pork and ribs are tasty as well.

Come early as they run out of everything really early. It’s a trailer by the side of the road. Food is excellent and worth going out of your way for it. Everything we had was delicious and worth the price. All dining is out doors, maybe not a great spot if it is raining, and they may not be open through the winter as it seemed like a seasonal place so I would call to make sure that they are open before you go. Also there were a lot of flies so you may want to take your stuff to go.

The brisket sandwich with original BBQ sauce was awesome, as well as the pulled pork sandwich! I travel quite often and Big Kev’s absolutely delivers quality BBQ usually only found down south! What a treat to find. I am a food truck fanatic, so the fact it’s a food truck is just an added bonus. Finally, Big Kev is super friendly. Will definitely be making this a routine stop on my upstate weekends away.

So to start my review I have to confess that I am not a BBQ maven nor expert. I grew up in Brooklyn and our access to BBQ was limited. I have had some amazing BBQ in my life, in the south and southwest of the country but I am not a huge fan of the genre. I was driving to my dad’s place and passed the little hut on wheels. I stopped in to check it out and there was a couple eating food at a table and they had good things to say. The places is in a small open field with some tables and some tarps covering them. The tables have napkins and hand cleaner… you will need it. The next day I took my dad, also a BBQ novice, to Big Kevs. Big Kev was not around, kinda too bad. The guy behind the counter took our order for a pork sandwich and brisket. We waited a few minutes and was handed what must have been a pound plus of meet in each sandwich. We got sweet and regular sauce. I will save you the trouble, get the regular as the sweet is really sweet and no other distinct flavors. Then came the meet. OMFG!!! It was fantastic. The meat was pilled high and moist and tender. My dad does not each much but finished half a brisket and I ate the rest. It was a lot but the meet was so tender and juicy I was in food heaven. I wish Kev were around to thank him. We left a few extra bucks to help them get to competitions. I wish them luck and look forward to heading up state to see my dad… err. eat at Kevs soon.

Stumbled upon this place on the way to a concert at Bethel Arts Music Center… What a find! Roadside food truck pumping out LEGITBBQ. One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I’ve ever had. Great break and succulent saucy meat. Very affordable too. Cool picnic tables to eat outside so you don’t have to get your car messy.
