Sorry to do this to the usually wonderful people that work here, but here it is… Last week I brought my FIL to this store for so he could grab a sandwich. There was 4 guys behind the counter and they were great! So up beat, joking, just everything you want when you go to a «fast food» place. They may remember him as the one who didn’t stop raving about how wonderful they all were while I was trying to drag him out the door. Seriously, he wouldn’t shut up about how great they were the whole drive home. Well, this week is his birthday and he asked his wife to get him the same exact sandwich for his birthday dinner. I know, kinda weird to get JJs for a birthday dinner, but the real celebration is tomorrow. His wife stopped and I waited in the car for her to grab it. When she came out she was aghast in the service she received. The gentleman at the register was wonderful she said, but the chick making the sandwich was totally rude! While my MIL was trying to describe the sandwich the lady had a HUGE attitude about how she wanted it. MIL said it felt like she was in a huge rush to finish, when the store was empty! MIL asked for the oil to be a certain way, the guy at the counter said of course they could do that, but the girl decided to do it another way. When she was leaving, she felt like the guy at the counter understood what was happening, and was apologetic. I worked at Hungry Howies for 4 years, if it isn’t an outrageous request, you just do what the customer wants, no questions asked. Also she said it was for her husband’s birthday dinner, and for someone to be so disrespectful… I would have been overjoyed to hear that some dude liked our sandwiches so much that he asked for it for dinner on his birthday. I’m just really :(about it.

This is my favorite Jimmy John’s. They always get my sandwich right. The music is a little to loud sometimes, but hey, I’m old.
