Food is great. Service was the worst ever. We waited 25min just for someone to come over and ask if we wanted a drink. I asked for Malibu rum. When i sipped it I knew it wasn’t what I asked for. The waiter did not come back to take our food order for another 30 minutes. I asked about the Malibu rum. Oh yes we didn’t have it I gave you something else. REALLY. Not good. To spend over 500.00 and get the worst service ever. Only good thing was food.

Truly don’t understand why this restaurant has such a low rating. I have had nothing but fabulous food and service at this BLT. The popovers are amazing, the steaks are cooked to perfection and if not, the waiters will be happy to cook it until your liking, and the desert is out of this world. I have spent three birthday dinners at this restaurant and I continue to go. This may not be the fanciest BLT of them all, but this is great for white plains! To get the higher-end meals and service traveling to NYC is probably the best option. If you’re looking for a fancy and $$$ night out this is the place to go

I had a great dinner with friends. The food was great the steak was prepared perfect. The truffle mash potatoes were delicious & very creamy. It had a strong taste of truffle oil which I love. I’ll definitely order that again. I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because our waiter was very slow getting & delivering our drinks. We ended up at the bar afterwards which had much better drinks service.

Having read the reviews and being a frequent patron of the Midtown location I had to check out this location and form my own opinion. So for this special occasion we decided to give White Plains BLT a go. Food: I started my meal with the Burratta, which was extremely firm. The Burrata’s I have experienced in the past were similar to let’s say a poached egg, firm on the outside with a runny interior. The consistency I had this particular evening was similar to a hard boiled egg, if you can understand the reference. So needless to say, I was disappointed. My huge ribeye on the higher end of $ 50, upon arrival had that look of this is going to be a great steak, but ended up not having that, ummm ummm, this is a great steak moment. It was cooked to temp at medium-rare but I was unfortunately underwhelmed by the flavor and stated that I have had a much better steak in Midtown. I only had a few bites of this huge steak and I dislike the thought of wasting food, so I took the remainder home and doctored it up for a steak and egg breakfast. The compliments goes to the potatoes au gratin and asparagus, these were the highlights of the meal; shouldn’t the steak have been the highlight? Price: Everything was ala carte and add a glass of red or two and that automatically brings your final total to an exorbitant amount. This is to be expected as it is Bistro Laurent Tourondel at the Ritz after all. Ambience: Was a plus, with warm colors and soft lighting providing a romantic atmosphere. Even sitting by the large windows we noticed we had a feeling of privacy, which was strange considering how clear these floor to ceiling windows were. Service: Our server did not introduce himself upon arrival so I had to ask him his name. He seemed new to the game, so I didn’t pressure him too much. Service throughout was timed perfectly, but once coffee service was completed we waited over 15mins, which seemed like an eternity for an acknowledgement from anyone to present us with the check. We eventually had to flag someone down, mind you their service station with unoccupied servers was directly adjacent to our table, it was like no one got the hint. Though, I will say that the Manager/GM did make himself available after we got our bill, his presence would’ve been more appreciated and genuine in between one of the courses. His acknowledgment of our table seemed like the old, let me leave a lasting impression at the end of their meal so a good tip can be had routine. This may not have been the tactic, but that’s what we felt. Though a generous 20% tip was left, we won’t be having a steak meal here any time soon. Rating: I went in with an open mind hoping I could increase their rating by giving them a higher score, but I am in agreement with the consensus. The name, the ambience and hotel location is what keeps this place relevant. I believe service wise they can do a lot better by following the lead of the GM, he seems to be the one carrying this place on the service tip. For a restaurant to have $$$$ the service and food should be equal to the cost.

Food is always on point. Service can sometimes be hit or miss. Filet is always seasoned well. Pop overs are amazing. Reservations should be honored better. Always seem to wait and have to order drinks at bar.

I came here with my fiancé and friends a few days before our wedding. The food is always delicious. We had a delightful relaxing time. The atmosphere is a bit more business here but my friends and I still enjoyed it. All dishes are great from appetizer to desserts. The popovers are always fantastic. Steak is wonderful. I think the food is as good as the Manhattan location. My friend’s tuna tartar was not ordered and when he brought it the servers attention they comped it for him. We look forward to coming back.

Never liked this place — been there a few times and what do they say the definition of insanity is? Yes, doing the same thing over again expecting different results. Was only there last Saturday for cocktails — ordered a Grey Goose Martini straight up with a twist — can’t F%&* that up right? Wrong! There was something syrupy sweet in it and I complained — went and asked the bartender directly and he said that he mixed it with what I asked for — when asked to show me the bottle === he said he was all out. I had a prior experience with dinner when I ordered the $ 75 Kobe steak — it was full of veins and tough and not melting in your mouth as described. Finally after two rounds of challenges the General Manager came over and admitted they had served me something else — NOT Kobe. Does not matter about this review as the place always seems packed at least on a Weekend night as there are not many options that have a great room like that and it is a beautiful dining room in a high class hotel — Ritz Carlton

I went to dinner at BLT this past Sunday and loved it. We sat by the window, which when making a reservation you need to request if you prefer it. The atmosphere is very relaxing and calming… We had great wine &2 of us had fish and 1 had steak. We were all very happy with our meals. What was really special also were the popovers… OMG Wow… I am looking forward to my next visit at BLT

Well to start the wait staff was extremely attentive. Excellent For appetizers I got the crab cake and my wife the tuna tartar. Both were delicious with great presentation. Chocolate cake was amazing. Now to the steaks. My wife got a ribeye. She loved it. I ordered the filet mignon. Asked for medium. It came out well done. I’m not usually the type to complain but showed the waiter. He realized without me even saying anything what was wrong. Told me he would bring back a new one. Medium. 10 minutes later. Rare. Very rare. Now if your a steakhouse and you can’t get a steak right why bother. $ 300. Won’t be coming back…

My second visit and the place is very much just OK. We spent over $ 400 on 4 people and there were definitely highs and lows. Lows: — very smokey inside — I noticed it last time but it was worse — I believe their exhaust system is not strong enough for the volume of smoke — what made it worse was the server say, «it’s an open kitchen’ — pls don’t insult your guests — open kitchens are fairly widespread these days where the dining room is not filled with smoke — not good. — we never got our popovers — had to finally say something and got them right before the steaks — how can BLT forget the popovers? joke. — the steaks were not great and not even close to being Prime. I think BLTs NY Strip was $ 51 which is the same as Palm Too, for instance, but not in the same galaxy as Palm Too’s NY Strip. Come to think if it there were no real highs… Too bad.

I was there tonight and had the privilege of having the worst steak. Our experience was awful. The service was ok. The management lacked any sign of empathy or concern over our experience during our time there or our meal. To spend what I spent on our meal and not get a steak that was cooked right or that it lacked any taste should be an insult. To anyone considering BLT Steak in White Plains do yourself a huge favor and head over to Frankie and Johnnies in Rye. There you will experience a real steak house. Please take these words seriously. If not you will be sorry.

Amazing service and amazing food, they paid attention to all the small details and we didn’t have to ask for anything. Special thanks to Clint our server and special thanks to the manager as well for such a great dining experience. Drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert were amazing.

Love BLT. Food is always delicious. By far my favorite is their lobster Cobb salad. There is no other Cobb salad that can compare it is that tasty! The lobster pieces are quite large and the dressing is an amazing butter milk dressing. Another favorite here is the crab cake. Although somewhat small the flavor makes up for its size. Desserts aren’t really needed here because when you get your check you get complimentary brownies! This place is a must try! FYI– It is also a chain so there are other locations however I’ve only been to the white plains location

I like BLT steak at City. So we visited here for early dinner. When we had seated they’re were no other customers. We ordered 2 sizzling bacon, a Caesar salad, porter house steak for two with medium rare, and French fries. We started with complimentary bread and duck pâté, followed famous popover. Popover was so good. Caesar salad was a bit disappointing. Sizzling bacon came with some topping herbs and sauce, but I like it with the simple way, so it was not my taste. Porterhouse steak was perfect. Very juicy and tender. But I felt their steak knife did not work well, so it was a bit hard to cut each steak into small pieces… Service was good, not great.

This is my first time to come here as the business trip dinner with our customers from overseas. The restaurant is nice and organized. I liked how they left the popover recipe. Since this place is the steak house and I don’t eat beef, my food selection was limited. I had a fish dish and some grilled asparagus. The veggie was pretty fresh. Good customer service.

Went the other day for wine and apps, phenomenonal! The tuna tartar was particularly amazing. Bill talkied quick but well worth it and amazing. Note, while«known» for steaks, I wouldn’t recommend them here(at all)… but definitely wine and apps

I had the chance to go to two Christmas parties at the BLT steakhouse in the Ritz Carlton. The place itself is nice without being pretentious, there are huge windows that surround around the entire restaurant, which lets in tons of light during the day. Overall the ambiance is trendy, classy, and relaxed. You can either walk in through the restaurant on via the Ritz Carlton. If you walk in the through the restaurant, you will notice the bar and some couches as soon as you walk in and a dining area to the right. The bar seats maybe 10 – 15 people max. The restaurant 150 or so. At my boyfriend’s Christmas party, we started off with some free wine and champagne, highly recommend the Cakebread wine, it’s always amazing. After cocktails, we had happy hour with trays of huge pieces of shrimp cocktail, fresh lobster, cheese and crackers. They also walked around with a variety of hors d’œuvre which were tasty. After happy hour we were seated and the waiters brought around tons of food. They start off with these huge dough things that are easily my favorite thing about the place. They’re baked and have a crispy outside and a doughy cheesy inside. Yum. Here was my synopsis of the food: Starters: Shrimp cocktail: huge fresh shrimp. Amazing Caesar salad: strong anchovy flavor. Not a huge fan Tuna tartare: huge pieces of raw tuna atop avocado with soy sauce served with light chips. I liked this one a lot Lobster salad: Cobb like salad with pieces of lobster. The lobster ‘made’ the salad for me. Salad itself was pretty good. Crab cake: had this in mini size during happy hour. I’m a fan Dinner: First time around I had the branzino, pretty sure it was frozen fish, I thought it was disgusting. Second time around I had the roasted organic farm raised chicken… OMG so good! It’s two decent size pieces of chicken on the bone with skin served in a delicious thick broth, lemon, thyme, chicken broth, maybe some white wine. Absolutely amazing. Sides: Creamed spinach: I didn’t like this at all. Not the flavor profile I was looking for Grilled asparagus: decent. You can’t mess this up Truffle mashed potatoes: WOW, I think I liked the plate. Loved it. Potato gratin: cut up pieces of potatoes baked with cheese. The potatoes were tasty, I didn’t love the baked cheese on top, heavy dish overall French fries: I liked the seasoning they used. Tasty. Desert: Carrot cake: decent. Definitely from US Foods. Kinda bland to me. Mini donuts: Donuts with sugar on the outside served with chocolate sauce and coffee ice cream. I loved the coffee ice cream. Donuts were good Sorbets were awesome. Ice cream was tasty. Great wine selection overall. Decent food. Some items were amazing, some were so/so. Service was okay, but then again, I didn’t go on a regular night and I noticed they were swamped.
