This is my favorite fast sushi place around, and that includes NYC. Sushi is fresh and delicious, staff is warm and friendly.

This is not a fancy sushi restaurant, but it is a great place to stop by for a quick lunch or dinner. The staff is always friendly, the sushi is delicious, and the place is clean.

shrimp tempura and shrimp dumpling noodle soups were way overpriced at 8.95 and not very good. had two pieces of crab stick and brown rice served with 2 edamame pods, yes 2. asked for water and received small wax cups of water. First and last time I’ll corner sushi.

This place is great! I am unsure about the other reviews, but every time I go shopping in the plaza, this place is where we eat lunch. I usually order a miso soup,(delicious, best I’ve had) some sushi which they make in front of you, and the rice bowl which is superb. Only reason I hold back a star is because the place is pretty small, so not a good idea for large groups. But other than that, my favorite sushi place around!

I really wanted to love this place, but I can’t. It’s a bit pricey for what you get, but what really kills me is that they want to charge you extra for everything. The first time I went, I asked for brown rice, and found out it was $ 1 more(for my two rolls) when it came time to pay. No mention of this on the menu, and seriously, since when is brown rice significantly more expensive than white rice? It was good, but not great. Really nothing special. The second time I went, I chose the 4 pieces of Sushi + California roll combo and it was about $ 10. I thought I got to pick the kinds of fish, and said«two tuna + two salmon» and the guy said he’d have to charge me more, and asked if it was ok. I said, nah, and went with the default, which was one tuna, one salmon, one yellow tail(I think), and one crab. Ironically, all four are under the $ 2/sushi category on the menu, and so this was yet another disappointment. I live right down the street and were it not for these silly charges, I would probably go three times a week. As it stands, I go once every three weeks.

Bad. first off, this isnt a real sushi place; rather, this isnt a real place to eat even. its a little store-front in a mall with really bad food. i feel bad writing this review, because i always want the small places to do great. but this one just really sucks! my girlfriend and i had something here a while ago. i forget what, but ‘what’ isnt important because it was cooked in a microwave and a ramen-noodle kinda instant flavor packet of freeze-dried spices was added to our food right in front of us. our experience was similar to eating at your foolhardy college friend’s dorm room. sorry Corner Sushi, but you cant give me microwave cooked instant noodle soup and generic grocery store type pre-packaged sushi and call yourself a restaurant. rubbish!

Great place to get sushi! They are friendly and the price is cheap. You can have take out or sit at the tables in the back(it’s a small space and only has tables for 2).

Pretty decent for the price. Had a Quick lunch and it was worth the price.

Now, I’ll be the first to say, this ain’t no gourmet sushi. But as far as cheap sushi stands go, this place is really solid and satisfies your need for a quick and cheap sushi fix any day of the week. They also have a really great brown rice bowl that makes you feel like you’ve eaten enough vegetables to last you all week – SO fresh and healthy. Finally, the couple that owns(?) this little corner sushi stand is the most genuinely kind, sweet, and down to earth couple I have ever met. They always remember you, thank you for coming back, and really try their best to prepare a clean, fresh, and well-crafted meal. Solid food, extremely fresh ingredients, and amazingly friendly service. Overall great experience.

I stand by my previous review, but I think I didn’t make something clear. This isn’t «the best» sushi I’ve ever had… hardly. But it is by far the best«fast food» «from the ice bed» sushi I’ve ever had. Just to clarify… I was looking over my old reviews and realized I may not have made that clear.

Eating one of their«New York-style» rice bowls — mine’s with black rice and it’s the beef version. Fresh, light and delicious, it’s vaguely like bibimbap but a little more like a salad(mine has mixed greens and tomatoes, among other things, shredded turnip, broccoli, radishes) with a sprinkling of ground beef and choice of sauce — I got both the ginger — sesame, soy, oil, and the spicy — which is creamy They had a ton of really great looking mangoes in the store, so I took a container of sliced mangoes home too. If I had salt and chili powder and limes I’d be happy as a clam.

I go here at least twice a week for the Spicy Califonia Roll. Its made to order and tastes the freshest compared to other options in the area. I’ve tried their Udon soups as well as their Miso and they’re very tasty and well made. The best thing about this place are the prices. Its not exactly a restaurant since there isn’t much seating but the service is excellent and the workers are always smiling and pleasant. Great place for sushi takeout.

I am going to have to completely disagree with other two reviewers here. It’s a shame that this place got such a bad rating, considering it is the best take out sushi in Westchester. In addition the owner and staff here are incredibly friendly, and remember you after only one visit. Unlike above posters there are many options for eating. Also, it is unfortunate people expect such wide variety from a small great sushi place with a wonderful staff. If you’re in the White plains area, make sure you check it out!

I am sad to be writing this, because I really wanted to love this little place. The prices are very good, the location is convenient, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, I have now been there twice, and the fish just has not been very good. Each time, I ordered a rice bowl with sashimi. The kinds of sashimi that come with the rice bowl are tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. The first time, the salmon was OK, and the other 2 fish were not great(as I recall, the tuna was a little too tough). The second time, the tuna was inedible, the yellowtail was too tough, and the salmon was all right in texture but tasted like it might not have been so fresh. All of the fish had more skin on it than anyone who usually eats sushi or sashimi would expect, which was kind of icky. The rice was great, but that wasn’t much consolation. I would not say not to eat here. I’d just recommend not getting any sort of sashimi, and probably nothing involving raw tuna. They do have other dishes, but for a variety of dietary reasons, I can’t eat them. They make some roll sushi with black rice, which I think is really cool because I do not know of any other places that are currently doing that, and their black rice is yummy(I can’t have the rolls themselves – seaweed doesn’t get along with my stomach – but they gave me a sample of the rice). I’ve noticed that they have some nice-looking dumplings, and they also have some fruit bowls and mango slices that look like they’re fresher than the fish proved to be. There is hardly any seating here, but it’s organized perfectly for take-out. There are a few bar stools, and one or two small tables at the back of the restaurant; if you’re there by yourself, you can probably find a place to sit. Unfortunately, I have to give up on Corner Sushi, since I have so few food options. Hopefully, others will have better experiences with their other dishes – and maybe they’ll eventually start having good sashimi!(If they do, please let me know!!)

Came here for a quick lunch takeout and by recommendation from my dr. Very small place with few side seating in this Korean sushi place. Had the spicy salmon roll made with brown rice and added an avocado to it. Paid 5.79. Was pretty good, tasted fresh, but wish the spicy salmon was a little more spicier. However, the friendly faces and smiles from the sushi owners makes up for it.
