Both menu and Unilocal say delivery but when you call to place a order they tell you no delivery. Time to update the menu!

I had a few mistakes before in orders I placed but this time I had to write my review. Besides giving me the wrong order. The food had a small bone which ended up hurting my tooth. Definitely will not be ordering from this place ever. Learned my lesson after so many mistakes. Will not recommend this place to anyone. Very disappointed

After looking through the mixed reviews, I decided to take a chance and try out this restaurant that I drive by everyday and never really noticed. My boyfriend is from Texas and really critical of his mexican/tex mex food so we are always trying to find a good mexican place. This is our new favorite mexican restaurant. Within a month or so, we have already been back three times. We both love the chicken fajitas-they are very flavorful, the beans and rice are good as well. Everything comes out steaming and the portions are pretty big. One lunch, we just shared the chicken fajitas and I was more than full. I highly recommend this dish. My boyfriend got some chicken enchiladas and really liked them. We also ordered horchata and got this enormous glass– like one of those enormous wine glass. The three times I’ve been here, the service has been excellent. One time was at odd hours and we were the only ones there. The other times there were a number of other groups in there, the place fills up with locals for lunch and dinner. Really quick service and eager to please. The waitress brought me some delicious spicy avocado sauce that I hadn’t tried elsewhere. That was one of my favorite things about this restaurant. We did read that the guacamole was really good so we ordered it. While it was very good, there wasn’t really anything special about it for its price– around 9 dollars. Probably better for a larger party. In summary, some of the best service I’ve experienced and really good mexican food.

First time coming here, recommend it by a friend. The place looks ok from the outside, but when you come in its totally a different history. My friend and I decided to have a drink after a very long stressful day at work. There were a few tables unoccupied but they needed to be clean and decided to seat at the bar. The bar is very small and messy, they have to many things on the counter and sadly most of them were dury. After a few minutes of been seating there a girl great us and she went straight forward. You guys want a drink. So we have two margaritas and for my good luck my drink was with mosquitos. So to me it was a little upsetting because all this mosquitos came from having all this messy dishes on top of the counter. So i showed them the drinks. And they acted not nice about like it was my fault. So i did not want more drinks here. So I decided that i was going to wait for mu friend to fished her drink so I can go ahead and try another place

My husband and I have been here a few times and love whatever we order from here. We always order tortilla chips and guacamole. If you heed nothing else in this review, please make sure you try their guacamole because it is delicious. My husband usually gets enchiladas or chimichangas, while I bounce around more. My favorite dish so far is the Carnitas sopes. Whatever we order it is usually bursting with flavor and HUGE. The portions definitely don’t leave you wanting. Tastes just as good heated up the next day. Service is friendly and quick. We’re not big street parking people, so I’m not a huge fan of the location. But we usually frequent this restaurant on off hours, so parking down the side street just to the left of the restaurant usually works out for us.

This was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Westchester. I ordered the chalupas with cheese, and they were barely edible. I had 2 sips of the red sangria — it was the worst I have ever tasted. I was so disappointed by this place. The waitress was pleasant, and always smiling, but there is nothing else that I can say that’s positive about this place.

Although the person who answers the phone for takeout orders rarely speaks even close to fluent English, I have become a huge fan of their speciality sandwich, the«Cemita Poblano»(minus the mayo) for lunch, as I work nearby. I’m not a big pork guy, but this sweet pork(marinated with pineapples) sandwich, mixed with fresh sliced avocados and cilantro, is a great mix of flavors and really satisfying… for just $ 7!

Somewhat perplexed by the low reviews others have given this establishment. This review is for a Monday lunch. The place was about 30% full, clean, bright and similar in vibe to places I had recently been to in Texas. My host, who had been here before, recommended the molcajete. This uses the volcanic vessel as a cauldron for a savory combo of beef, chicken, shrimp, avocado, and a mozzarella-like cheese(queso oaxaca?). The cheese melts into the gravy at the bottom, and you eat the whole thing with small flour tortillas.(More could be supplied). Rice and beans are served on the side. It’s a bit pricey for this sort of place at 16.99 but would feed two as a main dish, if you’ve had an appetizer. Ask for hot sauce and you will get both a hot chipotle and a mild green salsa. The latter was pretty similar to a Leon valley parsley cilantro sauce. Tacos looked good, were made with double tortillas as they should be. Some of the portions going to neighboring tables were enormous. No problems with the service, although I asked for a club soda and got a Mexican Coca-Cola. It was pretty tasty though. Will come back for tacos, cemitas and tortas. Seems promising. On the second visit had the enchiladas plate(see photo). The enchiladas were topped with a salad of iceberg lettuce, onion, avocado, radish and crema. The sauce could have been spicier, but overall the dish was fresh and wholesome. Chicken was better than the steak. Added a bit of the green salsa for extra flavor — it seemed a bit hotter than the first time I tried it. Am guessing it is home made and subject to experimentation/variation.

A beautiful clean place does not dictate quality food, great service and great experience. I had Pollo a la Mexicana and the portion size is small when comparing to other restaurant. I was not happy with the taste. I came back here the second time just to give it another chance, but this time for a take out order. Staff were not friendly and some with an attitude. For take out orders you need to go to the bar area. This is a strategy to get you to buy drinks. I find this disturbing when you have to order your takeout next to someone who is intoxicated and wanting to have a conversation with you. Very tacky. I was hoping for a better restaurant experience than Mariachi Loco Restaurant which is not far away, but unfortunately El Poblano does not come even close.

I have to agree with the other two reviewers. We live around the corner and hoped for a nice new place to eat. It took 90 minutes after ordering to get our mediocre food. Had to ask three times for the bill. Sadly we will have to keep looking around for a decent Mexican place in the area.

Real Mexican Food — finally — in WP. Stick to the tacos, enchiladas, etc. It is excellent. Way better than Lolas, Hacienda Aztecas, etc. Service is a bit slow given they only have one server, but I highly recommend. Setting is low-key but very clean, parking available on the side street. I saw the negative review earlier, and am surprised… their sides are great — esp the refried beans. Highly recommend.

I think this place has been open for maybe like 2 months. So went to try them out because I saw a pic on instagram of a mojito de tamarindo(its a fruit tamarind) will put up a pic later its was so/so. so I order a fish plate hmm not so good very oily and small but the tacos are so good. the horchata fresh water is kindof water down.

I am terribly sorry to have to write this review. This place have the worst service and marginal food. I am willing to wave off the long wait for the menu after we got seated and even the long wait for the food. After a long wait, the fajita came half complete without the tortilla and my Enchiladas came without its stated accomaniments(rice and beans). After ordering, another lady came and asked if we need or want anything else; at which I asked about their margarita offerings. She said someone will come with information on the margarita. No one did until way later. I ordered the guava, which came extemely sweet even for someone who loves sweets. I took two sips and informed them that its yoo sweet as I can not drink the rest of it. Overall, the worst Mexican restaurant I had been to and one of the worst dining experience ever!
