Elmwood Day Camp

I cannot say enough good things about Elmwood Day Camp. As a teacher myself the educational, hands-​on, creative, and dramatic arts flair to this camp is exactly what I was looking for! My 4 year old had his first summer last year and he came home every day raving about what he did each day. In 8 weeks he became a soccer player, an under-​water swimmer (THIS WAS HUGE FOR US!!), a theater actor, an enthusiastic musician, a kinder friend, and a more well rounded, confident child. The staff is nurturing, caring, devoted, and go above and beyond to provide the campers with a wonderful and rewarding experience. And, most importantly, it is FUN! My son cannot wait to return for another summer next year! It really is the best day camp in Westchester!

I knew this was a great place when my kids starting asking on weekends, «Oh — no camp today?» *sad face* Elmwood is small & intimate, nurturing, fun and has wonderful staff. Everyone there is just super nice and they truly enjoy working with kids. The previous review mentioned lack of food choices — she must have 5-​star restaurant expectations — the food choices are plentiful and allergy-​sensitive too. My boys enjoy the lunches there and they’re pretty picky! Each day packs so much activity. You’ve gotta love a place with special events like «Water Slide Day», «Elmwood Games», and «Dancing With the Staff.» I wish *I* went to camp here! It’s been great seeing my kids enjoy their time here so much. They are definitely happy campers. (Had to throw that in there — sorry!) :)
