If you end up here u pretty desperate for cheap Mexican food that delivers/takeout. So let me help you out. Theres only two things that can i tell you that will help you to enjoy your meal from this place. 1). Go next door to the smokeshop, invest in some«glassware» and get urself good a lifted, wait 30 min for effects then proceed to order anything from the Mexican side(note they also do Chinese yeah trippy i know) That leads me to the second thing that will help you have a good meal… 2). Don’t order Mexican. Try the Chinese. But no guarantees.(as i burp and wanna vomit)

The food from this place is cheap and extremely fresh. The Chinese food is a notch above most places but what makes this place stand out is their Mexican food. I suggest trying any of their fajitas. The chicken fajitas are great. I also like their Shrimp fajitas but they are slightly smaller in size than all the other fajitas. Also worth trying their quesadillas filled with Jack Cheese and are two tortillas with your choice of fillings. The Black Bean Quesadillas are my favorite and are very filling. The place looks very shabby and the seating area is not too clean but they know how to cook. Worth noting, they only accept cash, no credit cards. The only thing that is annoying about going to this place are the beggars on the street always asking me for spare change, it’s highly annoying but this is downtown White Plains that attracts mentally ill people.

The Fresh Tortilla restaurant does a good job at one thing only. Making fast food fast. What does that mean exactly? If you come in and place an order it gets done in 5 to 10 mins tops. The staff are polite and the ambience is adequate in terms of cleanliness. Also prices for most dishes are reasonable. Never had a bad experience here, except when ordering dumplings.

Horrible Mexican food. Guacamole, chicken and cheese = inedible. Beans and rice = bland. Tortillas = fresh. If all you want is a fresh tortilla to eat then go, otherwise avoid like the plague. P. S. No refunds for the inedible food.

An acquaintance and I went to this Mexican/Chinese restaurant for lunch today. I would have to disagree with the previous reviews of this place. Our food required a long time to prepare, and when finally served, was not satisfactory. My friend had tacos and nachos which were neither terrible nor delectable. My burro was an open tortilla with steak and chicken. The meat was dry and not seasoned well. Guacamole tasted old. vegetables were not fresh. Prices were reasonable as would be expected. I also never received my complimentary ice tea that is suppose to accompany any purchase over $ 10.00. Maybe the Chinese offerings are better. I doubt I will ever venture here again to find out.

I haven’t tried the Chinese side of the menu, but the Mexican was perfect. It is exactly what one should expect when a street cart converts to a standalone restaurant. The food pricing was very reasonable, and they were able to get the entire order out within about four minutes. They know what they are doing, and they just do it well.

We love Fresh Tortillas! They really do make freshly pressed flour tortillas right in front of you. We generally order fajitas by the pound and the jack chicken sandwich… aka quesadilla. It’s a great inexpensive alternative to the usual takeout staples… pizza or Chinese cuisine… and you can get the latter here if you wish. I wouldn’t choose to dine in, although the place usually has folks at the tables and you can eat outside when the weather gets nice. Only real negative… they don’t deliver and it is often difficult to find parking. It helps if you can bring someone along to pick up the food, and it is CASH only. And if you park don’t forget to feed the meter. White Plains does not joke about parking tickets!

The tortillas were great, although it was strange seeing the Chinese and Mexican menus side by side. The steak was great, and I’ve never had a «taco» that size for less than $ 3. We were alerted our order was complete with a sharp«Hey», but I’ll go back every time I return to White Plains!

I’ve only tried the mexican menu, but this is some delicious take-out. The combo portions are generous, and prices are all-around decent. The menu is large(and HUGE if you consider the chinese menu as well), but nothing too surprising. A NYT review recommended the Al Carbon single tortillas; I agree, they’re damn good(but small).
