Prestige Flooring and Interiors

Hired them to refinish existing floors and install new hardword throughout my house. Very pleased with everything. Used them twice. Once my 1^st job was completed so beautifully I had them return to install flooring on my entire upstairs of my home. I have recommended them to friends who were also pleased with their work.

Avoid at all costs.
I hired them to remove carpeting, strips and staples from a wood floor. I wanted to look at the flooring before deciding if I needed to refinish. John Vacca told me that it was «absolutely not a problem» and that the crew would be there at 8 and a sales guy would be there at 9. The sales guy would take a look at the floor and make a recommendation.
The crew arrived and I knew I was in trouble when the first thing they asked was if I had any knives. I said no, so they took it upon themselves to root around my garage and see if they could come up with anything. It turns out they forgot all their tools. Fortunately, I had a hand saw they used to cut up the carpeting and a crow bar they were using for the strips.
At 9, the sales guy shows and recommends a full refinish. I took a look and they had only done one bedroom by this time. From what I could see, the floor looked pretty good, so I told him that I was going to hold off on the refinish.
10 minutes later, I get a call from Mr Vacca asking for payment. I told him I would call back in 5 minutes. I let the job progress and at around 10:30, the crew chief tells me they are done and they would be picking up the carpets (removal of the old carpet was agree upon) the next day. After a quick walk through, I could see they did not remove any staples. The crew insisted they were done. Fortunately, at this time, Mr Vacca called asking for payment.
I explained to Mr Vacca that:
1) The crew showed up without any tools.
2) The crew did not want to remove the staples, as we agreed upon.
3) The crew was not going to take the carpet.
Mr Vacca did manage to get everything straightened out, but it was obvious to me that once they determined that I did not want to proceed with a refinish, they were going cut and run. If I had provided payment when Mr Vacca first contacted me, I would be pulling staples out right now.
NEVER PAY IN FULL UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE JOB.

Avoid at all costs. Rude customer service, incorrectly milled red and white oak was delivered (vs. White oak I was billed for) and Prestige essentially refused to consider evidence. Never again.
