The owner, I think his name is John but goes by JD, is very accommodating. He’ll cook and season your wings exactly to your liking. I don’t even have to tell him anymore, he knows just how to make them for me. I just wish they were open 24 hrs!
The Cole Slaw is also slammin’!!!

Consistent food, never had a bad meal from here. Fall off the bone ribs, moist corn bread, steamed broccoli is to perfection, not overcooked and limp. Good mac & cheese. Stuffed fish is good. If you are ordering for delivery, make sure you leave ample time. Especially on busy nights. You can tell when it’s busy because you can hear the insanity in the back ground and in the voice on the other end and you’ll be constantly put on hold. It can take an hour, sometimes more to receive your food. So don’t order delivery when you are at DEFCON 1 because you will surely go on a killing spree or eat your cat before the food arrives.

My favorite take out for ribs. Great taste, consistently delicious fall of the bone baby back ribs, love their corn bread. Reasonably priced!

I have been coming to the White Plains location for the past few years. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious! Ribs and chicken are tender and full of flavor… their sauce is awesome. Fish (shrimp, clams, flounder, catfish) fresh are delicious. Numerous sides to choose from all home made and excellent tasting. Very large menu and everything is good. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff and the food was excellent!!! I would recommend this place to anyone who would like BBQ food. Go with Mac and cheese as a side and if you had to go with a dinner, go with the #9

6.95 for 2 small pieces of chicken fingers in a burger gun? When I read sandwich, I expect an actual adult-​sized sandwich. Won’t be ordering again.

Great food and I order from here regularly but just had the worst experience. I placed an order on the phone and what was delivered to me was different than the order I placed. My order was hot bbq and buffalo. The order I received at my door was hot bbq and bbq.
So I called the restaurant to ask for the correct order. I was told that I received what I ordered. Now I know what I ordered but really disappointed in the customer service as no other options were presented. Basically felt like, you made a mistake with your order so deal with it. Unfortunately this restaurant has just lost my business.

Ribs on the Run is getting 2 stars because the food is pretty decent for when you want junk food, and even for someone like me who doesn’t eat meat but eats fish, there are a decent amount of options.
But, we decided to get takeout from here tonight, and when I pulled up at 8:20, the door was locked. The sign clearly says they are open until 9. I also attached a screenshot that clearly says they are open.
The worst part is that a guy was mopping and motioned for the girl at the register to stop ignoring me and open the door. She said they were closed. Hey, can we all leave our real jobs an hour early? Awesome.
Imagine if you placed an order online… you’d never get it!!!

I use to pass this place all the time but had no desire to go here from the outside appearance. However, after a recommendation I tried it out and have been going back ever since. The ribs are delicious, I love their bbq sauce! If your looking for take out and are craving bbq, you have to go here. My only complaint is the ambiance, but for take out it works.

Came here for lunch had the lunch special with my BF my wings were u see cooked and pink inside so gross I almost threw up he loved his ribs but he said his chicken was a little u see cooked as well, I remember coming to this place when I was a little girl when it was in centrAl ave, near my parents house near Oaklys car wash, CVS, Catania pizza

This place is worth finding in White Plains!
I love BBQ… grew up on it in the Ozarks and KC.
We found this place by luck, checked out the menu and went for slab of baby backs and a slab of St Louis style. Both were super tender with the proverbial meat easy off the bone. One choice of sauce, oh well, it was great. Sometimes simple is better. Only wish they had okra, side of Cole slaw was very good.
Great down home service, super good.
Gotta go back for more since only in the area on vacation for a week… hmmmmm, maybe ribs on the fly… back to Seattle!

HOLY CRAP!!! This place is still in business! AMEN! LoL. I learned about this place back in like 04– 05′ they were in Yonkers on central ave. I frequented whenever i was in the area, then one day it was gone! I just thought they went out of biz and gave up. Wellll now in 2015 i decided to google this place out of the blue and to my surprise they are in white plains still on central ave and the best thing…10 mins from my job!

Dropped by today, same great service same yummylicious comfort food. Got home to the BX and got to eatin. Aww man ribs were fallin off the bones chicken was juicy. Loved everything. That bbq sauce is tasty. Man o man im glad i found this place again.

Just not as impressed by this place as everybody else seems to be. The people taking my order were very nice, and the guy helping me decide what to get suggested «The Official» sandwich. It ended up being just some fried chicken fingers, bacon, cheese whiz and some not so great BBQ sauce.
Maybe I should have gone fore some barbeque, but I was not impressed with the BBQ sauce on my sandwich so not a great sign for the rest of the barbeque cuisine.
Again, the people were very pleasant so I want to give them another shot, but I just can’t imagine myself doing so.

I’ve been here a few times and the Beef Ribs are a must. Juicy and savory. The BBQ Chicken was moist and smeared with BBQ sauce. The Mac & Cheese and Cornbread were yummy. The Potato Salad was alright.
A dinner combo was accompanied with a 4 oz side and an 8 oz side. There is no wait service, as you order your food and pick it up by the register.

I’ve been here twice and have always left with a smile. I’ve tried their bbq chicken, chicken wings, mac n cheese, potato salad, steamed broccoli (so random) and their amazing beef ribs. The bbq chicken is great, I ordered the white meat and it was nice and moist. Best side was the Mac n cheese. The total highlight of the meal was the beef ribs, it was the best that I’ve had and you should get it every time!

This place is really freaking good big portions especially the bbq chciken dinner or the rib and chicken dinner is huge. Fried cheesecake is amazing. the shrimp is frozen but it’s good. sauce is very tasty. Ribs are super tender but don’t fall off so easily that you can;t eat them.

Ribs here are solid. Actually very good. Meat was falling off the bone. Very tender. And the BBQ sauce was great too. I’d definitely eat the ribs from here again.
Ordered a large rib combo meal with mash potatoes and Mac & cheese. The sides were nothing special. The portion of ribs seemed like a full rack.
The guy taking orders behind the counter was helpful. I saw him answer like 25 questions another customer had.
The place has a dumpy vibe. I almost got back in my car to leave but glad I didn’t since the ribs were so good. Lots of special lunch combo signs printed off on a home printer and hung on the walls. And they have some construction project going in the limited table area (away from kitchen) with unfinished drywall hanging. I was ordering take out so I wasn’t there long but you’re not going to be going here for the décor or ambiance. See photos

I happened to stop by TJ Maxx the other day and since their parking lot was full, I parked closer to Ribs on the Run across the way. It smelled so good by their door I started doing double takes until I gave up on TJ Maxx and decided to go in and check out the food.
The place is a total hole in the wall, complete with scratched up tables and mismatched chairs. Not that it matters much with that awesome BBQ smell wafting around. As for the food, they have a pretty standard BBQ menu; ribs, pulled pork, brisket, burgers and all the familiar sides like mashed potatoes, slaw, fries, mac and cheese, you name it.
We went with the brisket and pulled pork plates along with fries, slaw and pickles. Man, the meat, slathered in their sauce, was really good. Fresh, tender, flavorful, everything you want your BBQ meat to be. Event the sides were outstanding.
Prices were very fair, just over $ 20 to feed 2 people and then some. I actually went back to this place a few days later and it was just as great as the first time.
Will undoubtedly be back sometime soon.

I am so happy to have found this place, so close to home. Hubby and I had a great meal here. He went for the Baby Back Ribs & Fries. I don’t eat pork but I know he was living them and the meat fell right off the bone. I had the Buffalo Wings & Fried Shrimp Combo with Mac & Cheese. All were yummy but I just wish the wings had a higher degree of hottness. I love pepper. Since I couldn’t have the entire menu, I opted for an extra order of Buffalo Popcorn Shrimp. I don’t usually like popcorn shrimp but these were well-​seasoned and tasted great.
Ribs On The Run is a BYOB establishment so feel free to bring some alcohol with you when you come to dine. I wish I knew that before heading here. I would have brought a couple of beers with me. That would have topped the meal off perfectly. I’ll know for next time.
