They have a good assortment of quick bites — deli sandwiches, salads, cakes and cookies. Decent place to pick up last minute snacks. The frosting and icing on the cakes is not up to the mark and could’ve been better.

The food is inconsistent. I try to order from this place but, every time I do I get aggravated. They change the size of the sandwiches. Today I ordered a sandwich on a «bastone» which is loaf of bread. Sometimes it’s large, sometimes like today it’s very small. I order cannoli’s via Grub Hub or now Eat24. In the past, a cannoli is a full size cannoli. Today I got a mini cannoli and that is not what the menu says it is. If it’s a mini cannoli, describe it as a mini cannoli. Pasta is never consistent. Today I order tortellini and got ravioli. The food is good but, the portions are inconsistent and the service sucks. Instead, of abiding by the adage that the «customer is always right» you get attitude. I like most people don’t mind paying for good food, just don’t take advantage of me or take my patronage for granted. I will no longer order from this place. I spent $ 45 today and got 60% of the food I was expecting. It was not worth it.

The petite filet steak sandwich is amazing! It’s made with Gruyère cheese and grilled onions on French bread. Also they have a sandwich or salad vip card –which when you buy 6 items, you receive $ 10 toward your 7^th.

One good place in town to get a quick lunch… Otherwise, everywhere else is a chain. My go to is their fresh salad counter.

They make better sandwiches than any deli in WP. They make better Pizza’s than any pizza in WP. They make better salads than any salad shop in WP. These guys don’t fail at anything they do. Quality through and through. I love this place!

Good food, but extremely over priced. I like to come in for lunch but need to save up for a few weeks in order to afford it.

The iron tomato is great. You can eat healthy, you van indulge, the selection will allow you to quench whatever it is you are craving. End it all off with something from the bakery which I believe is the best in Westchester. The brownies are my favorite!!!

The people that work here are really really nice. I ordered the Waldorf chicken sandwich without walnuts, so they had to make it special because it was already mixed in. They gave no type of problem for this. I also bought a sampling all their baked goods. The cannolis are pretty good but the rainbow cookies are fantastic. They have a huge assortment of food. They charge five dollars for delivery, in addition to the $ 10 order minimum, so that’s a little bit expensive… But if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a trip there. You’re sure to find something you want.

The iron tomato is your one stop shop for anything food related, literally. The variety can be over whelming and you will probably want to try one of everything like me, and sometimes you can. If you’re nice to the servers they’ll let you try some of their selections — this was much appreciated. Think of a Manhattan bodega with a gourmet, well stocked, on crack twist with of course a bakery too!
I ordered the chicken flatbread and was very satisfied. If ever in the area I will most certainly be back!

I always loved the Iron Tomato! They have amazing sandwiches, paninis, hot foods etc… Their bakery is equally awesome, I am so glad its so close to my home and it is my place to get all my Italian Specialties that I grew up with, I highly recommend the different mousse pastries especially the Tiramisu Mousse served in the chocolate demitasse cup… to die for!!! They also have the traditional Italian pastries like fresh cannolis, sfogliatelli, napoleans and eclairs. I love this place, and will always be a customer here!

I think they were a bit short staffed when I showed up. Myself and 2 other guests were waiting at the cookie counter for a bit and there was no staff to be found to help us. Finally a man showed up who was very friendly. I ordered the Napoleon cookies because they are my all time favorite. However, I am only giving this place 1 star because my cookies weren’t fresh — I think they had been baked like a week and a half prior. This type of cookie generally stays very moist for at least 1 week and they were very dry, not good at all. My 1 star goes to the friendly gentleman that helped me. I might consider going back, but I probably won’t be ordering any cookies.

³⁄₂₄ This business is ridiculous. I had 3 awful experiences there. Bad food, bad service, gave it a couple tries… It wasn’t great.
Was there again tonight. Waited 10 minutes for service — I spent $ 20 there but I won’t be back.
They blasted my home address on their page and this definitely is violating as a customer. I will not be back.

I’ve been here a few times. The cookies are extremely hard — they were really hard to chew.
The employees are not that friendly either — I had to look around for someone to help me for a few minutes. And, when I finally found an employee they were extremely rude.
I won’t be back!

I emailed the owner and he sent me an email back telling me to update my review. You definitely can’t bribe me with free gift cards to update my review. If your employees and food are unfortunate, then you need to correct those problems, not my review …

The owner messaged me back again shocked at my update to the review. First, no one can ever bribe me to write/​change a review. I’m extremely honest about my experiences and love to share these — good or bad — with my Unilocal followers, friends, family and the general public. I know lots of businesses bribe reviewers and I am very against this. This is very poor business practice. I feel extremely uncomfortable with this business and business owner. Don’t attack me through emails and messages telling me to do something I don’t want to do. I didn’t like my experience at your establishment and I haven’t met anyone else who has published a good review without being bribed. Fix your staff and food, not your reviews. That would be a much better business practice.

The owner continued to message me telling me in lieu of the gift card he’s sending me I should give them another star. Then he proceeded to say he’s not bribing me. This is one of the many reasons I will absolutely never walk into this business again. Unprofessionalism, bribery, poor business practice — and instead of admiring his staff is rude and unfriendly and the sushi, salad, cookies, and food is not up to average par, he’s attacking me as a customer — a person who dines out in downtown White Plains several times a week. You just lost another customer!

This place is AMAZING. Fresh food & delicious! My go to order is either
1. Balsamic spinach salad or
2. Aroastica chicken sandwich

Went here to eat on New Years Eve. I will never ever return here.
I was in a party of four, we arrived to Iron Tomato and ordered dinner/​dessert. One member in our party went to the bathroom with no problem. We ate dinner and dessert, and before leaving we went to use the restrooms (about 25 minutes later). The restrooms since had been blocked off with an «out of order» sign blocking the entire hallway. When we asked to use the restrooms (and showed our $ 50+ in receipts for things we had just eaten), an older guy (60 – 70 years old wearing an orange sweatshirt) said «I don’t care what you’ve ordered, I don’t have time to keep the restrooms open and it’s not my problem.» Clearly this is a business that doesn’t care about its customers.
The secret to their items in the bakery is sugar. Sugar, sugar and more sugar. They have a wide variety of items which are visually appealing, but they don’t taste very good. Everything is overly sweet (you can make better things yourself at home). All of the cookies are extra dry (the chocolate cigar wasn’t edible without soaking it in milk or coffee for 10 minutes).
Save your money for a real bakery that actually cares about their customers. The cookies at supermarkets are better than this place.

I really enjoy coming here but tonight I was annoyed. Just landed from a long trip back from Europe and wanted to get food from my favorite spot in White Plains. According to Unilocal it closes at 9:30pm. Showed up at 8:45pm with my Dad and fiancé and I believe the owner rudely pushed us out. We just picked up 4 slices of pizza. Would have taken 5 mins to sit and eat. We are paying customers just very rude how we were treated. He told us yeah you need to leave closed 3 minutes ago. And if they close at 9pm they need to change the time on Unilocal.I’ll take my business elsewhere with a place that would be happy to have us.

Great Sandwiches at great prices!

After the owner reached out to me and personally apologized, we ordered delivery again and everything was perfect. Took under an hour. You can’t ask more of a business than to own up to their mistakes and make it right the next time around.
Food, as usual, was very good. Will be ordering from them again soon!

Nice place to have a good lunch, is place is pretty big to be only a delis they have good bakeries, a pizza spot with Italian specialties and a great salad bar.
Sandwiches and wraps are awesome and the variety is nothing short of awesome. The taste is very amazing.
The salad is very fresh and they charge by the pound, where you also can add fried chicken or grill chicken and shrimps.
What can I say about the bakery? The words will not be enough to describe the great that they bake their cake, cookies and pastry.
I can’t think of anything bad to say about this place. I would very highly recommend it to anybody.

A great market in White Plains with a super impressive bakery that would make the cookie monster go bananas.
So this is a small Italian market with a seating area to go and enjoy those delicious baked goods/​pizzas/​sandwiches and salads. They have prepared salads and even a create your own salad bar (priced at per lb). I went with the gluten free pizza and at $ 9 was delicious and perfectly slzed. Didn’t mess with their sandwiches or panini’s, but was reminiscent of that Wall St. deli that literally has everything.
Did I mention their extensive bakery? Literally any kind of baked good you’d want is here. Oh gelato? They have that too.
Great stop on the way to CT and I most definitely would stop again.
