Hands down, the best restaurant in the Flathead Valley. The owner has crafted a menu chock-full of traditional Mexican recipes, and he takes the time to prep and cook every single dish as if it were being made in his home. Do NOT miss out on the opportunity to eat this wonderful food if you’re in the area!

My friends asked me out to dinner and let me pick where I wanted to go. I had heard about Pescado Blanco and we decided to give it a try. I am SOHAPPY we did! The hostess was nice and we were seated outside on a nice patio. The service was spectacular and the beer was very cold and an outstanding selection! This is the type of restaurant I always hope all other restaurants will be. EVERYTHING is made from scratch. I am so sick of so-called Americanized Mexican food that comes off of the same truck for every restaurant. Not here. Fresh seafood, freshly pulled carnitas, BISONCARNEASADA! Mountain Mexican has me hooked and I’ll be back to try everything on the menu!

This picky girl found her favorite shrimp tacos! Amazing! As you know some places just can’t get the salsa right and their salsa is on the money Happy to have found a local place that is consistent and quality.

It is so slow! The restaurant was completely empty when we went there yet it took 2 hours to just get the food, after that the quality of the food really doesn’t matter. I don’t know why we went to this restaurant!

Wasn’t entirely impressed with this restaurant. Food was ok but not spectacular. Service was very good, but we left feeling we had spent more than it was worth. Had seafood enchiladas which were sizeable and filling but the seafood tasted burnt. The appetisers of warm corn chips were sufficiently salty but the salsa was watery and tasteless. It’s ok but I think there is better.

Sub-par Mexican food that is seriously overpriced. The beans were bland and the rice was old and crumbled. The salsa and chips were tasteless. The waitress was nice, but I ordered tacos and was brought a burrito and had to wait another 15 minutes for the order to be fixed. The tacos were edible only because I haven’t had a taco in Southern California for 4 months. Also, they didn’t have refried beans, just black and pinto.

Service was good, but took a long time to get us seated. The chips and salsa were okay, but the food was expensive and took a long time to arrive. My girlfriend and I have high standards for Mexican food, seeing as we’ve live in the west so many years, so we didn’t the food too great. So if you’re in the area maybe worth going to, but nothing you’ll miss if you don’t.

Wow I was very impressed! I hadn’t found a Mexican food place in Montana I enjoyed. Tonight I had bison enchiladas they were really good. The chips were hot and the salsa decent. The food had wonderful taste, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. The super burrito was big. The others in my party had equally good food. We will be back!

My mom and I popped in here while looking for something to eat near downtown Whitefish. There was a party in the main room so we sat in the room next door. We luckily got our orders in quickly and ended up having a really nice meal. Our server was chill and friendly. She suggested the special: chile-seared Opah with a cotija polenta cake. I loved every bite of it. My mom had the enchilada, which she said was one of the better enchilads she has eaten at a Mexican restaurant. It was a great start to our weekend stay in Whitefish.

This cusines and the waitstraff were absolutely excellent. My entire family enjoyed our meals immensely and the outdoor dining in August made the meal even better. We’d definitely return.

Well… while traveling thru Kalispell, we were told that this is the place not to miss. As I sit here at the table waiting for my meal, I thought I’ll have plenty of time to start my thoughts of this place. We did not have reservations so the hostess said she was going to clean a table and be able to seat us in five minutes. Over forty five minutes later, finally a table. Chips, salsa and our drinks came reasonably quick. Ten minutes later our waitress returned to take our order. The wait is on… Still waiting on our food. At this point, I don’t care what it ends up tasting like. Salsa is empty… Drinks have have not been refreshed and it’s been 20 minutes since our order was placed. I had not planned on this being the last thing we did today.

Great food and usually pretty good service, get the chile rellano with carnitas. It’s da bomb! Only downside is that it can be really busy and they don’t have a liquor license for real margaritas. Still some of the best Mexican in the flathead. The house salsa is great too!

We used to LOVE this place but unfortunately both the food and the service has taken a big drop-off. Salsa bar is gone but they still bring one type of salsa to the table but unfortunately chips are stale. We’ve eaten here a few times this summer and its not just one item from the menu its across the board just bland. Service wise is even worse, long wait to be seated even though we had reservation. Once seated we waited 15 minutes then had to flag down a server from the outside patio to try and help us get a server for our indoor section. This problem continued the entire meal and we couldn’t get help for drinks or even to get the bill once done. It seems they are way understaffed.

Excellent seafood and veggie tacos! Loved it. Nice guac and salsa too. Taco plates are very filling, very flavorful. The patio is nice. The service was friendly and decent.

Ate here again last nite. As usual, the food and service was top notch. It was busy but we got seated in less time than it took to drink a draft. Our meals were prepared and served with about the average wait time. Staff was attentive even though busy. Wish it was not so busy so we could spend more time with our fav server, Jacqui. I had the special menu Opah, My wife had Chile Relleno. Absolutely no complaints about this restaurant. My highest recommendation for dining in Whitefish.

Very disappointed. Our experience was completely different from prior visits nearly a year earlier. First, they must have recently coated the surfaces with varnish. Because the entirety of the restaurant smelt. Second, the veg taco’s fell far short of the mark. Eleven Dollars for two subpar tacos that should have cost a fraction of that. Lastly, the host seated a table of screaming kids next to us(the only people in the restaurant at the time). What gives? Summary: overpriced and poor service. I want to like it but this eatery is off the list for now.

So i have been here twice. The first time it was during Huckleberry Days in the summer. My friend and i had been up on Big Mountain all day and were starving! We went to a couple of restaurants in downtown Whitefish. All we tried were crazy busy and of course it was dinner time and too long of a wait! We finally came across this place, went inside and noticed it a bit emptier than the other places. After talking to the person at the front desk we were told there was a 30 minute wait. i looked around and saw many empty tables and thought well maybe they we reserved. We then proceeded to their bar to wait for a table and sat there for at least 15 minutes with out even being acknowledged or asked what we wanted to drink. She didn’t even ask if we wanted chips and salsa, WE had to ask! HELLOOOO we were waiting for a table and she knew. We were so hungry! Wanted to get a margarita but they don’t have hard alcohol, it came in a mix? Why is that even on the menu? Eventually got seated 40 minutes after we arrived. The waitress we had was really nice and i was impressed with the food. Decided to come back and enjoy my birthday dinner here for the Second time. My friend called to make a reservation during their said business hours and no one answered. She even tried calling a week or two in advance. Called several times. Finally she left a voice message saying what time we would be there. No call back to confirm, so we showed up at said time and day. Raved about the food to my friends before we arrived and we had the WORST waitress i have ever had! She was so rude and even argued with us! We had to go back to get her to complete our food order. The food was so-so. The busser(or another waitress) helped us way more than our waitress did. She was the one who refilled our drinks and got us more chips and salsa, etc. She had to go find our check from our own waitress which we waited forever to get. We gave her the tip she deserved.(Almost didn’t tip). I would give this place 0 stars if i could. i will never be back. I am a local and we may not have the best Mexican restaraunts in the Flathead, but seriously PB(may have better food) but its not worth it.

Awesome menu. Terrible acoustics in the enclosed porch area. Too noisy. Headache quality. Fortunately we were able to go inside where it was a little quieter even next to a table with three small children. I will update when the food arrives. Ok… food was great. Three small children finally left. Would have been four or five stars if not SOOO noisy.

Maybe it’s my Canadian sensibility and difference in prices of eating out in Whitefish compared to Calgary, but I found Pescado Blanco affordable, delicious Mexican food. Note that while I’ve had Mexican food in Mexico and California, it’s been years and my reference is a couple of underwhelming Mexican joints in my city up North. I found the food outstanding. I love Pescado Blanco’s guacamole and salsa. I like food with kick, and Pescado Blanco definitely delivers when it comes to their salsa. This time I had the Pescado Blanco tacos for dinner and they were outstanding. The halibut was prepared well and dressed perfectly in lime juice. I also really enjoyed our deep friend ice cream. So delicious! While I had been skeptical about the idea of ice cream rolled in corn flakes and then deep fried, I shouldn’t have been. With notes of cinammon, the ice cream breading was sure to please!
