One word … Yuck! This hotel is comparable to a Motel 6 at best but, it has a 5 star price tag. 189.00 price tag for an outdated, smelly, dirty hotel. On our way through the hall staff and maintenance people were everywhere. Which would lead one to believe that the property & rooms would be immaculate. Unfortunately. Not the case. The only redeeming factor is the location & the grassy area for our dogs. The staff also had much to be desired the initial phone contact for booking the room was a very curt & irritated clerk & staff were sitting outside our room smoking cigarettes and letting the smoke waft into our room. Ugh ! … If the rooms had a paint job & a newer comforter than one from the 1980’s it would be a little more worth it. We will not be staying here again & I’m going to need a few glasses of wine to even sleep here tonight!

The pros: We arrived an hour before check-in and the young lady at the front desk gave us out keys no problem. The rooms were clean and bright. Unused toiletries are recycled to be sent to people in need. Recycle bins are located in each room and throughout hallways. 24 hour juice & coffee bar. Price was great for a resort town. Love the indoor/outdoor pool(open until 11 pm). Gorgeous setting & views. The cons: No fans in the bathroom. Complimentay breakfast was a bit lacking, but this is coming from a girl who loves her bacon.

The hotel seems a little dated, but they seem to use that as a selling point. From the outside it looks«rustic» with its big hewn log porch and balconies. Staff that I met were very courteous, our room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was the usual faire of frozen waffles and cold pastries. Cold cereal, fruit and bagels. But they had a toaster and microwave so I ate enough to be full. We didn’t use it, but the pool started indoors and then a swim tunnel connected to an outside pool. The deck outside overlooked the river, and included a hot tub. Staff said the pool was heated too. It’s located only a mile from the Amtrak train station so that was why I picked it, but after seeing the other hotels near it– I think I got a great deal. I would stay here again.

If I could give this place 0 stars or minus I would. The bed had different pieces of hair on it. I found a pillow with what looked like dried blood on it. I would have stated anywhere other than here. The staff was not attentive and the cleaning staff seemed like they were upset I requested my sheets to be changed daily. I had never been to whitefish so I don’t know if there are worst places, but personally I have never stayed anywhere worst than this place.

Stayed here for three night while fishing in the area. Clean room with fridge, free wi-fi, ice makers on each floor and very helpful staff, especially Ashley. Breakfast left me wanting, need to add some bananas to the selection and yogurt.

The rooms are dated, but clean. I dont think much has changed since the 80’s. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our ac wasn’t working, so we called the front desk and the maintenance guy came up and took a look. He was able to replace the whole unit in a matter of minutes. Additionally, the pool here is much nicer than the one at grouse lodge. In fact, the pool is fabulous! Breakfast was nothing special, but again the staff were nice. As another bonus, the dogs were allowed on the patio above the pool without a fuss. It was nice to be able to have the dogs allowed anywhere after staying at grouse. Would definitely stay here again!

Decent price for the area but everything was old and worn out. Breakfast was weak. Very nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tube.

Whitefish, Montana: Nice spacious rooms. Good value as compared to THELODGEATWHITEFISH. No complaints … little bit like a newer Hampton Inn

1. Uncomfortable bed(confirmed with a co-worker). 2. Small/inadequate fitness room/closet. 3. For $ 100+/night, you’d expect complimentary toothpaste(or at least be able to buy it there)…especially fter 11pm at night when you’re ready for bed and all you want to do is brush your teeth and go to sleep. To be told by the front desk attendant«no, you’re going to have to walk half a mile south», that’s just terrible. I think management needs a wake-up call… saving $ 1 on toothpaste & having customers go to bed upset is not a good business model.
