This particular location does a great job of keeping stalked for what those in the area are most likely to buy but I usually find I have to go to a second store to get everything I may need for a recipe. They have one isle that holds a bunch of stuff you don’t think you would need but can easily see the value in its inexpensive purchase. The isles here seem a little closer Together than other locations and can make stopping to consider a purchase a little tricky. I often feel like I’m in the way. Lines move quickly.

This is my go to grocery store, now that I am back on the east side. With Aldi carrying more organic foods I shop there more often. Where else can you get organic Coconut oil or Agave Nectar for under $ 5…I’ll wait. They have definitely improved their image over the past few years and have the products to back it up. Although I am a little weary about the wine section, will just stick with Trader Joes. Great prices on almond milk, mixed greens, some meats but be careful with the produce it’s a great deal but be sure to inspect thoroughly. It’s usually always busy, but if you can avoid the place Saturday and Sunday afternoons — you will save an eye roll or two.

I am a fan of Aldi and was at this location for the first time last night. It’s a nice, clean store, was well-stocked, and the cashier was sweet & friendly. They even opened another lane when the line got a little long. I love that Aldi now has an organic line, although I am disappointed they only have half gallons of organic milk and it really isn’t cheaper than other groceries.

I’m pretty impressed with this location. The outside is visually appealing and the property looks well kept. Although Main Street traffic makes going here a bit of a hassle, it’s working saving a few dollars for things I need on a weekly basis. The actual store is clean and tidy despite its location and the staff are helpful and friendly. We eat a lot of vegetables in my house and it is nice to purchase mushrooms, asparagus, carrots, onions, and so on at a low price. Aldi sells a carton of white button mushrooms for 99 cents whereas Kroger will sell the same brand(Giorigo or something like that) for 1.99. Things like sugar, flour, and eggs, are the same low price and I end up spending $ 20 doing a grocery haul whereas I’d easily spend $ 40 at Kroger or even Walmart buy the exact same items. Their store brand generics like frozen pizza and other microwave meals are decent for the price. I don’t buy these all the time but when I do, it’s not a bad spend. If you’re looking or gourmet, go elsewhere. There’s not a huge selection of special seasonings, oils, and so on so that’s where the one star is docked(don’t think I’ve seen oyster sauce there yet). Really not big of ethnic food except for your run of the mill stuff like fried rice dinners or taco mixes. This is the same way at any other Aldi so it makes a complete trip more complicated than it needs to be.

Let me preface my review: I am *not* Aldi’s target market. I’m pretty sure they don’t give a rat’s ass what I think about their store, but I’m going to give my opinion anyway. Before I dive into my thoughts on Aldi, I need to give you the quick run-down of the type of grocery shopper I am. I love fruits and veggies that are local and organic, if possible. I want my meat to be ethically raised, grass-fed, and preferably from Ohio. I want the little dairy I have to be really good stuff. And I want all of this for a bargain, which usually means I have to shop at three or four different places. Aldi is not and cannot be a one-stop-shop for me. There is just too much processed crap here. But I have to give credit where credit is due. I found everything I needed for my breakfast green monsters here — for significantly less than other stores! We’re talking Fage yogurt, people — at a discount! Aldi also came through with some basic kitchen staples — like sugar, flour, and some canned vegetables. At the end of the day, I’m never going to be Aldi’s biggest fan. But will I go back to save $ 10 on a week’s supply of smoothie ingredients? Absolutely.

Rules are right, Mike B. You have to know what to expect before you go into an Aldi. First and foremost though, expect to save a shit ton of money! Seriously, why pay more for groceries when Aldi has them for sooo much less? They have more than I expected here when it comes to the«usuals.» There aren’t name brand options or speciality goods or anything fancy. Actually, everything is stacked in boxes, BUT you’re paying sometimes at least $.75 to $ 2LESS than what you’d pay elsewhere. Bring your own shopping bags or buy them there, and you can’t use your credit card here, only debit. This location is fantastically clean as well.

We decided to try out Aldi’s for our produce run. If you try, make sure you’re aware of «the rules»: 1) bring a quarter for the carts, you get it back when you return your cart. 2) bring your own bags. 3) most items are generics, not too many name brands around. 4) make sure to check the country of origin of the food, there’s a lot from china I was not too keen on. 5) they do not accept credit card, but do accept debit. 6) «what you see is what you get», check your produce and dates accordingly. That being said, we were pleasantly surprised to find reasonable prices on produce(IE avocados for $.40/each cheaper, and green peppers for $.50/each cheaper than the close by Kroger), and will continue to utilize this place for that. This location is fairly new, built within the past few years.
