The pizza is pretty good; however it is a little expensive and the dining area was very crowded when I last went, which was early on a Saturday evening. Not a bad pizzeria, definitely worth a try.

A bit pricey, but very good. The lasagna slice with sausage is great and the kids enjoy it.

I love pizza chef. Best pizza. Best salads. Pete is the nicest and helpful. And the older man is so sweet when you get to know him. I love the place will always continue to go. Very kid friendly. Many menu choices. No other neighborhood place compares

Usually this place isn’t bad as far as take out, but today was the worse. I came in and although several people were behind the counter, no one was helping me. There was a man right in front of me, that i learned was the manager. He was rude rude oh did i mention rude. He took several minutes to help me, he was fixing pizza on the trays and acted like he didn’t see me. Then the charge was 7.71 Im not making a big deal over 1 penny, but i have gotten the same thing in the past and it was only 7.70 Obviously the rest of the place doesn’t care about a penny either. I was joking with another employee about«mr rude’s» behavior and«mr rude» got mad and slammed the receipt down in front of me so i could see 7.71, it wasn’t that serious! The best is when i asked to talk to the manager and was told«mr rude» was the manager, i just left saying so sad. He was rude, confrontational and downright nasty. The pizza is good, the service usually the same, today was a no. Wow.

One word, PERVERT. The OWNER, PETE is an absolute pig and I will never in my life step foot inside this business again & I will be sure to voice my experience to all my family & friends who live in the area. He hit on me in front of several customers & in front of his staff the entire time I was waiting for my pizza. I was extremely uncomfortable and I made it obvious that I wasn’t interested & I was uncomfortable. He continued on and he finally asked me if I would like to meet him at his house to share the pizza & to get to know each other. He continued to tell me where he lived so I could meet him there!!! & it doesn’t help that most of his staff of young men were giggling and laughing at this perverts antics. I have heard from numerous female friends that they have experienced the workers & the owner hit on & disrespect them. I was picking up for my FAMILY! I have been coming to this pizzeria since I was a little girl and I was absolutely mortified in front of several customers. I will never be back. Rule of thumb for business owners, NEVERHITONYOURCUSTOMERS, especially if they are 25+ years younger than you, NASTYPIG. PIzza sucks btw. I was just going there because I was getting my nails done at Angel Tips.

It had been forever since I had a slice from Pizza Chef. An institution for me growing up, I remembered it fondly. The C household did not partake in pizza nights but my best friend’s family did. We would come by and have a slice and some knots. Well the joint has gotten bigger. And there are many more options, but you can still get a slice and some knots. Their slice is just as good if not better than what I remember. Its a little more doughy than the average place and I like that. They have a ton of specialty slices and pies. They also offer a hot food bar. I like this option in local pizza places. Its located in a huge shopping plaza right off the CIP. The place itself is clean with plenty of seating. They also have a TV, so stop having your lunch in the car. Sit and watch the news or listen to the guys behind the counter busting on each other. Thankfully since the modern version of the C family does a good pizza night occasionally, we will be back to pass on the tradition.

Meatball pizza was on point, had to send our cheese pizza back cause it was burned. Our fresh pizza wasn’t burned on the bottom but the top was over cooked. Pepperoni knots were pretty tasty! Booths are roomy. Not coming here for the customer service. The expectation are a little higher for New York pizza.

Now Let me start by saying most of this for for their GLUTENFREEPIZZAONLY — its hard to find a place to go out with people who want pizza and you have to eat GF… and if someone says«well, you can have a salad» one more time, i will rip off their mouth. People with Celiac Disease Do enjoy Pizza ya know. I don’t know where they get it from… But the personal pizza — the crust the rubbery and the cheese slips off, the sauce has no taste. I’d rather go to target and buy an Udi’s frozen pizza and cook it in the oven for 10 minutes then ever eat that again. I’ve been to other places that have good GF items, just not this one. Sorry. My dad had the regular pizza. He said — this really isn’t good. But i guess that’s the Italian in us. Although I’ve heard good things about a pepperoni wheel or roll. can’t tell you from personal experience because i can’t eat it. I was spoiled by eating at SAL’s Pizza in LITTLENECK growing up, which was pizza to perfection, which is no longer there since Sal retired and his son went off to open up Pizza stores in New Zealand. Which apparently is going extremely well. Of course everything is imported. But to me pizza is not with all these crazy things on it. I dono. Pizza is either plan, pepperoni, maybe some meatball or sausage… but nothing else… well except focaccia or white pizza. not this Lasagna pizza, buffalo chicken, salad pizza! — get a salad! — and they have it sit there. i’m used to ordering my pizza and having to wait to it to be made fresh out of the oven. Just my opinion. i’m just old skool …

I get disappointed every time I go to pizza chef. I tend to forget how terrible they are after not going for a couple of years. I had finished working an 11 hour work shift and was starving. I ordered a chicken roll and when I got home to eat it, it was cold all through the middle. I had just moved and my kitchen is under construction so I have no where to warm it up. I normally go to Gigi’s pizza in Whitestone but I now live closer to pizza chef. Gigi’s is hands down the best pizzeria in Whitestone.

I heard great things about this pizza place and I am a fan! Fresh pizza toppings and good sauce! I have to say I feel lucky to have this pizza place in my neighborhood. Must try the deep dish pizza! it is not what you expect!

This is my go to place for a spinach slice. I love how the pizza tastes. Other places makes their spinach slice bland but here It’s crunchy and the cheese is great. The staff are extremely nice and that makes the place even better. Always an ample amount if seating.

I’ll start off by saying I’ve been coming to pizza chef for over 15 years, even went on a «trip» there when I was in P. S.193 in the mid 90’s. I’ve always loved their pizza, especially their specialty pizzas. Chicken and broccoli or with mushrooms is one of my favorite. Though their chicken parm is not the best you can find in Whitestone, it’s still very tasty. After saying all of this, the quality has definitely gone down a bit over the years. After stopping by numerous times for an early lunch before 12, it seems like all the staff do is re-heat day old pizza and serve it which is completely unacceptable! After all my years going there, I’ll give it another chance but I hope they change this! There’s no excuse for serving day old pizza!

Order the lasagna pizza. Pretty good meat and cheese, and the slices are big, and not oily. Their prices are decent.

Pizza is NOT great but not the worst either. The KIDS that work there are annoying. Hitting on you and just being completely immature. That always makes me feel uncomfortable. Also kids being yelled by the«owner/manager»? As much as I’d love to slap those kids for being so inappropriate, it’s not nice to see anyone get yelled at in the workplace. The delivery is kinda slow and I once received a pizza pie that was completely burned under. Blah. Save your money and calories. — go to Freddy’s a few blocks away thank me later

Just wanted to come on give Pizza Chef a shout, as they have some of the best pizza around, at least IMO. Its EXACTLY how I like it, which is more salty, less sweet, a little more doughy, and soft. I hate crispy pizza, although alot of people like it. Anyway, this is my go to pizza place. They also have good subs, and italian ices. My only gripe on the items I have tried is their garlic knots, which again IMO are subpar. They have the taste of cheap rolls you get at the table when you go out to dinner, just with garlic on it. Also, can concur with the previous comment on the service when I pickup. The teens they have working the counter are typical in their work ethic, which sucks. I had a kid who I was waiting to pay having a full on conservation with his coworker while I was standing there holding my money for over a minute. I eventually had to say«Ahem, I am ready to pay!». Pretty standard though for that type of job. Who cares though, as long as the food quality is there.

I love this place, great pizza and great food! I come during the week on my lunch break and I’m never disappointed, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I order the hot food sometimes or pizza, their sandwiches are pretty good too. Large portions I always have food leftover for later.

I usually eat here right before I get my nails done at the salon next door. Great local spot with a lot of regulars. A bit surprised that the line was almost going out the door for a weekday afternoon. The staff is friendly, there are plenty of seats, and the food is above average for a pizzeria. Go for their specialty slices, all of them are really good!

Our first visit was after we drove into Queens from VA. There is plenty of parking in the lot of this shopping center, especially considering the area. You come in and order at the counter in front of their wonderful spread of pizzas. You also pay at the counter. All of the guys there seem to be genuinely interested in providing good food. Long story short: they have great pizza, so get that! Our first visit, we had something like a dinner special or combo. Between the four of us we had 2 Chicken Parms, 1 Eggplant Parm, and 1 Sausage and peppers. I didn’t care for anyone’s entrée, to be honest, because they tasted frozen possibly. The two Parm dishes were ALL breading no meat/eggplant or flavor at all. The combo came with a side of pasta, but there was too much liquid on the plate(everyone’s) and it ruined the dish. I will say we were probably the last table of the night, but that shouldn’t be an excuse. I should have gone with my gut and gotten a slice of pizza instead of the entrée dinner… On our second visit: LOVE the pizza! They are beautiful big slices that are not all greasy and sloppy. Good crust and sauce flavor. They had a nice selection on the counter. Unfortunately they charged us for this tiny paper cup of tap water… who does that? I think the owners should put in a beverage fountain, since it’s the type of place you order and pay, I’d have no problem getting my own drink. My recommendation is to get a few slices from their specialty pies. Our slices are in my pics.

Pizza chef is still the best pizza in Whitestone. I love the fact that their pizza is never greasy! WHO likes blotting their pizza slice to get rid of oil? That just ruins the whole thing for me, plus it’s gross. My family has been loyal to them for years, probably since i was in middle school. The pizza is always great, i’ve never had a bad slice from them I’m a classic pizza type of girl when it comes to pizza chef, i’ll always take a sicilian slice or a regular and i’m never dissapointed. The staff is always very nice and the guys provide speedy pick-up and delivery. If you’re in the whitestone area and craving pizza, then your top option is always pizza chef. Just a note: Don’t order their spinach rolls or pinwheels if you love cheese. I love my spinach but they put WAY too much, the spinach to cheese ratio is like 80 – 20. Non mi piace!!!
