We were on our way to Ann Arbor from downtown Chicago and decided to stop in here for some quick lunch. The place is small and was packed when we showed up at 1245. You place your order and pay at the front before finding a table to sit at. My dad and I both ordered the blackened Cajun chicken wrap with tater tots. My mom ordered the carne asada wrap with French fries. We all loved our food. The meats were juicy and flavorful. The vegetables in both wraps were fresh and crisp. The avocado in the carne asada wrap was especially good. The tater tots were really good with a crunchy outer shell. The French fries were not that good. They are your basic French fries, frozen not fresh. Overall this place was extremely good and had reasonable prices. If I am ever in Whiting or the surrounding area again I would definitely stop here.

Havent been here awhile. But, food is still Gr8! Love the steak wraps. Love the home made chips. We ordered takeout from down the street. Nothing has changed from several years ago. Solid lunch spot w/plenty of choices. Service still real good. Recommend!

Omgoodness, I can’t express how yummy this food is. They have a great variety of options to choose from and their side items are award deserving. Pasta, burgers, wraps, salads… I only wish they’d have the desserts available. Every time we go, they’re out of the several different cheesecakes they claim to have on the menu.

It was so delicious! I got full fast and still had a lot left over for lunch the next day. I didn’t expect this restaurant to be that big of a hit especially because of the area. It’s a very«chill» restaurant.

Great experience. We went up to the window and ordered and the food came out shortly thereafter. It was breakfast and we were the only people in there at that time bc they must have just opened. The omelette with chorizo and the basic eggs with bacon were both quite good. My one gripe with this place is that their potatoes were not my favorite – kind of bland. Other than that, definitely will go back.

Grillers used to be a pretty decent restaurant, but lately it has gone downhill. On my last couple of orders(cajun chicken wrap and a chicken caesar salad), the chicken was as tough and dry as jerky. Prior to that, I found that when ordering a sandwich, the pickle that used to come standard with the meal is now .50 cents extra for a single spear. The pasta is also nothing to get excited about, as the sauces seems extremely watery and unflavorful. I think it’ll be a while before I order from Grillers again.

Not what I expected out of Whiting, Indiana(this is a good thing.) Sandwiches and wraps are very good and well worth their cost. Pleasant staff, not overly friendly, but nice all the same. You can do much worse than stop here for a quick bite. As a quickee lunch, it beats the chain restaurants hands down.

Need I say more?! I lived by whiting most of my life and never came here. So many regrets. Thanks to my coworkers for enlightening me with this great place had me back in less than a week! My family loves it too.

Whiting is a charming town to begin with, but this place is a hidden gem!(ATTNCHICAGO: It’s 20 minutes away! This historic town borders the lake and the East Side of Chicago. So hop on the Skyway and make a trip — preferably when they host Pierogi Fest in July!) However, according to the locals, this is a regular place for grub. You walk into a large menu of just about everything. Order at the counter(they have Belly!), fill your own class, pick a seat and your food is brought to you. And the food is nothing short of excellent! I ordered the southwest turkey wrap which is large enough for an entrée. With the wrap, or any sandwich, you get your choice of fries, tater tots or house chips. And although house chips are always tempting, I knew they’re fries had an outstanding reputation so that was my choice. Warm, flaky and perfectly battered! I’d also recommend the grilled veggie platter — it’s huge! Easily feeds 4 people as a side. Price here is pretty reasonable and it’s easily a great choice for bringing the family. Something for everyone and everything’s equally as good. Stop by for a quick lunch or order carry out the next time you pass through the little town on the lake.

I ordered the steak wrap based on the Unilocal reviews. It was delicious. They make everything fresh to order. The wrap had steak, avocado, peppers, onions, a sauce and cheese, wrapped in a green tortilla. I ordered the homemade chips as my side. They were all crispy and not soggy at all. This place is located right in the historic downtown of whiting. I wish I would have had time to walk around the shops!

Rudy’s club sandwich was one of the best club’s I’ve had. A perfect ratio of crusty bread, chicken, avocado and tomato. The lettuce was green and leafy. Nothing kills a sandwich like a watered-down piece of iceberg. Also, chips were house made and delicious. $ 8.50 including tax. I’ll be back for sure.

Can’t get excited about our experience here. My daughter had a stuffed chicken dish that was not very flavorful and I tried their burger which was ultra greasy.

Visited my daughter to take her out for dinner while passing through. Unilocaled and found this place and was very pleased we did. The soups were outstanding, service was quick, and our sandwiches were outstanding. The salads and pasta I watched delivered look wonderful as well. This will be a regular stop when I stop in to see my daughter!

The food is soo yummy! I love this place. Their soups are delicious. The menu is very diverse. One of my favorite things is the Shrimp salad. The shrimp is kinda small but the veggies are julienned and very fresh. I eat here quite often for lunch.

Went here yesterday as I wanted something for more than BK or McDonald’s…this time tried their Malibu Chicken Sandwich… served with ham, chicken, cheese, and some kind of sauce… another tasty sandwich served with tater tots… also tried their cream of vegetable soup which had a bit of a kick to it(tasted more like a southwestern style soup) but perfect for a chillier evening.
