The staff and most of the patrons are not friendly. Was discussing current events with a friend and mind you this was around 3:00pm a «regular» didn’t just jump in to our conversation that we are half way across the bar but harassed me! The staff just kept doing what they were doing and ignored what happened because he’s a usual. My friend and I ignored him but he was being pretty persistent on letting me know how he felt. I’d rather have a beer after work in a porter potty than this place.

This is small bar with a small parking lot. There is additional parking on the street. They have a decent beer selection here and $ 14 buckets of 5 domestic bottles — no mixing and matching. The food is decent; pizza and burgers. The fries were awesome. Good bartender too. Decent local bar.

Been going here for years and always come back. Its a great little town bar with the best bartenders in the world. The drinks are cheap and always flowing. The food is the usual bar grub.

The only reason I give this many stars is only due to the wicked cheap beer and the fact I’ve never had a colder beer Ever. The service is typical for a dive, and I an not brave enough to order food. But a great place to go for beer

O’Toole’s Pub is a «no questions asked» establishment located in the small intenstine of Whitman, MA. You’re not gonna get any smarter by coming here. You’re just gonna drink hard and lose even harder to their seemingly endless supply of Frosty the Doughman scratch tickets. The beer selection is very minimal, but they are served ice @#$%ing cold. Don’t look anybody in the eye while you’re in here. Just keep to yourself and keep drinking. Don’t order any food. If you absolutely need to look at something, look at the TV. But don’t ever ask to change the channel. If you bring your car to this place, make sure you don’t park it nose-in against the fence. The owner will make you correct this mistake before you even get a chance to order a beer. You need to park it with your tail-end alongside the street. You’ll see. Follow the rules and you’ll enjoy this place. It’s a worthwhile experience.

Im giving 2 stars because the first couple of times we went here service was decent. Having said that tonight I was given a hard time about using my military ID. Even the guy who looked a little like Chuck Norris, who I think was the manager asked if I had any other form of ID. Then 1 of the bartenders apparently was finish with her shift and sat at the Bar. I have no problem with a girl wanting to grab a drink after her shift but when we are sitting waiting for a drink and two bartenders are shooting the shit next to us oblivious to the fact are beers are finished I’m not pleased. Then we were are handed are tab after our second round, by the way neither of us had a drink before coming here. I little disappointed because I can walk here but I don’t want to be treated like dirt unless I deserve it.

O’toole’s Pub has grown on me in the past year. It is a Whitman townie bar. As far as townie bars go this is better than most. They have good quality entertainment on Friday and Saturdays. The pizza isn’t quite up to par with The Venus Café up the street, but it holds its own. The beer is cold, nothing fancy on tap… but it’s more of a Miller Lite/Budweiser kind of a crowd. They have everything you want in a small bar, big horse shoe bar, a few high tops, golden tee, and a Jukebox that downloads songs. For the smokers they have a side fenced in area. The parking lot is small, but you can park on the side street and not worry about getting a ticket. The bartenders all do a great job. They take care of their regulars, but don’t make a newbie feel unwanted. If you’re in the area it’s a great place to have a few cold ones.
