Albertsons

Thought I might find some good deals since the store is closing… boy was I wrong. Worst deals ever. Everything is actually marked up so if something says 10−25% off you’re still paying regular retail price.

I’m deeply saddened that this store will be one of the stores that will be closed permanently. The only Albertson’s that’s closest. (Next one on Whittier Blvd in La Habra) but still a loss.
I loved that they had more bigger selection. Their prices seemed to be lower in some areas and the store was bigger, brighter and cleaner. Even though they remodeled the Ralph’s on Whittier/​Hadley, with all the congestion there, things get thrown allover the place and the ongoing pan handling that they yet to tone down. I’ve never had anybody begging for money here, and there are a lot of homeless, druggies & beggars that lie to you all time roaming this particular area — streetwise that is.
Employees were always friendly and offered great customer service.
Anyhow, it’s really sad to see this store close.

Made a special order for a prime rib in the meat department on 12÷23÷13. I was helped by Al and Javier. They cut and sliced a 20lb roast for me exactly how i requested. They were very helpful and gave great service. Thank you!!!

Came here this afternoon to purchase some grapefruit since I was low (I like eating grapefruit most nights of the week). I wasn’t exactly happy with the $ 0.69 per item, so I only bought one (I like purchasing grapefruit when they are 3 for $ 1 or 4 for $ 1 at other markets). Anyways, the store was pretty clean and the layout is pretty much the same as other Albertsons Markets that I have been to.
Since I came in the afternoon (around 2 pm) there wasn’t really any long lines at the check out. I went to the self check out since no one was using them. It was easy to use and I was out of the store and in my car in no time.
By the way, parking is plentiful, but I ended up parking on the street, off of Bright Ave (right in front of one of the entrance driveways) under a tree because it was quite crazy sunny and warm out today.
Also just wanted to mention that this Albertsons has 2 Redbox kiosk machines near the front of the store.

Fried Chicken is all we get from this Albertsons cause it tastes good. Overall, though, the grocery is just okay. The prices are higher than the competition, but the place is clean.

I love this Albertson here in this ritzy area. Today, I bought some chicken, fried chicken from the deli and it was good, but not like the last time which was a few months ago. The bread was still soft and delicious.
I did not see any wings at the wing station, I wanted to get some Zesty wings, my favorite. Where oh where art thou?

I live really close to Albertson’s and this is my go to market as when i need something right away. I totally prefer going to Stater Bros which is farther from me for groceries. Albertson’s is clean and the chicken is great too.

The past 2 trips I have made to this Albertsons was just to pick upa gallon of milk, The milk case has been very messy broken milk jugs everything very sticky and unapealling…

I like coming to Albertson’s because it’s not as expensive as Ralph’s but it’s got a bigger selection than Stater Bros. and it’s close. Hubby really likes their fried chicken from the deli. I like that they will have certain things on special and with your Preferred Card they come out pretty cheap.
This store is always clean and the staff very nice. Tons of parking at this location.

So I’m not really a fan of overpriced Albertsons, but this store is pretty centrally located in Whittier, and I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad experience here. They built it in the mid-‘90s – as a Lucky, I think – and it’s still pretty clean. The parking lot is ample for the size of the store, and they have a pretty wide selection of everything, even organic and natural foods. They stocked Food from the ‘Hood salad dressings almost immediately after I requested they do so, and the last time I checked, they were still selling them – and they had a lot on the shelves.
So although I’d like to ding this store some stars, there’s really no legitimate reason for me to do so.
