Every two weeks I come to this smart and final and use their vending machine out front to fill up my 8 sparklers jugs. They do not own the vending machine, but every two weeks I walk in and make a purchase, so I can get cash back. I get $ 10 in quarters for the machine. Today I was told by the cashier that they didn’t have that many quarters in the drawer. This has happened before and has been fine, I just get it from another cashier and they are usually fine about it. Today, I was told by the other cashier that it is their policy not to give change in quarters. I asked to speak to a manager, because I’ve been doing this since they opened and it has never been a problem before. I was told by this manager that they did not have enough quarters and $ 10 in quarters would mean that they would not have enough change for the weekend. Today is Tuesday. They easily go through that many cash paying clients’ change in less than an hour. How are they screwed for the weekend on Tuesday? Instead of accommodating me and warning me of the policy, they told me no. Needless to say water machines and grocery stores are everywhere. I’ll just go to Food for Less instead.

First visit here. There is no express lane and the bag boy smash my hamburger bread.

Stopped by real quick to grab dog food and right away was very impressed with just the outside. The parking lot was so clean and well lit which I appreciate considering I do most of my errands in the evening. All the shopping carts were organized and very clean. This must be a new store because I always end up with the stupid cart with one wheel spinning in circles and the other doing who knows what lol anyways… walking in I was taken back how nice this place is. Never considered doing my grocery shopping here. I’ve aways thought of it like a tiny Costco thinking they carry items in bulk. Which some they do. But the prices were great! Definetly coming back to check out some other stuff. Dog food by the way… I believe it was a 15 lb bag for about $ 18 not bad. It’s the Rachel Ray brand. Better ingredients and the bag is bigger and cheaper than walmart! Sweet!

Beautiful, new, and clean«looking». No hand soap in restroom makes me wonder how clean the workers are. It’s not their fault. This one’s on management. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Good prices. nice store… literally one of the worst checkout times around… no matter what day you go or if you use the express lane expect 20minute wait times

In the beginning when they opened that had all registers flowing very smooth. Alas a few months the later and it’s usually only two or three out of about nine registers open even during busy times. It’s a great store to shop for if you have a family and the delicious whole cooked chickens available after around 7:00 am every day are cooked to perfection and cost only $ 5.99. That’s 2.00 cheaper than Walmart. The only huge problem is that the checkout waits are long because everyone buys in bulk or a lot here and there’s only a couple cashiers. Hopefully during the busier summer months they can add a little More help. I do like shopping here. I find the Value to be about the same as vons or Ralph’s and slightly more expensive than Walmart groceries though. They have a nice parking lot too and are at a convenient location. Nice addition to Whittier uptown.

This place is fairly new and clean. I’ve been here a few times after work to pick up some supplies. I like how they have the food section and the warehouse supplies. Overall, I will be a continuing customer.

Called in advance to buy some cases of produce and was told to come down and get them … So why advertise case prices for produce yeat refuse to sale the cases you have available on hand? And make me waste my time driving over to be refused the sale? Bad customer service will not come back.

Fast and friendly service. Awesome deals on meats. Clean and neat store. Like that they take coupons. They don’t charge for bags at this location.

Great new grocery store in the Whittier Area. I would highly recommend they move the liquor area away from the exit door. Avoid thefts. The store is very clean and staff is very friendly.

So far, so good. The layout is really convenient and easy to navigate. Lighting isn’t too harsh and it’s been clean each time I’ve visited, thus far. Pretty good refrigerated beer and wine selection. Nothing worse than buying off the shelf and waiting for it to get cold when you get home. The nectarines and cherry tomatoes I bought were very tasty. Would definitely come back for more produce. Checkout stands are highlighted by local street signs. Kind of like another market down the street. Still new, so there are some kinks to work out in terms out check out speed, but I’m sure that’ll improve. Glad to have another option in the neighborhood!

Formerly an Albertsons market, the grand opening was last Wednesday. Plenty of parking makes this easy to access and convenient. Great specials included Foster Farms chicken at .69 a pound, twenty eggs at $ 4.99 bananas at .39 a lb and sock eye salmon at 9.99 a pound. I’ll definitely be a regular here.
