Big 5 Sporting Goods

Won’t go here again. Waited about 15 minutes until I had to go get someone to help me then additional 10 minutes to tell me they are out of stock second time I go there and their out of stock of something I need. When I expect to go to a store that’s not busy Id like to be in and out and attended so I can purchase what I need and leave. I don’t need my time wasted.

Never going to shop here again. I live close to this location but the shoes I wanted were only at the Pico store. It’s not convenient to drive there but I did & in the end I didn’t keep the shoes. I come to this store to return but if I did I wouldn’t get my full refund because the tax rate is higher in Pico & the «system» in this store works out the tax & there is nothing the workers can do… that’s crap! I’ve purchased items & returned in the same situation to Target without any issues. So annoying that I have to take an extra trip for my return when there’s a store right here…

I have to commend this store for GREAT customer service! I went in today to buy some hiking boots and everyone was so helpful! The sales associate in the shoe department was so patient with me because I was having a hard time choosing between a few of their choices. From the initial greet when I walked in, the attentiveness of the associate in the shoe department to finally the cashier… everyone was top notch! To put the cherry on top, the store was clean and well organized! Keep up the good work everyone!

The service here is pretty slow compared to others I’ve been too. 5 people on the floor 3 guys 2 girls. The 3 guys were huddled together giggling and talking wile the two girls were working and getting things done. I’m assuming one of the guys was a manager so that’s why this was allowed. A customer had to walk over and break up the giggle circle to ask for a shoe. I had to do the same. So I just left and went to famous foot ware which is 2 doors over. Wake up big 5 I felt bad for the girls there working hard and guys just acting like there working.

This is my favorite big five to go to! Everything is always clean and the cashiers are always friendly. The managers are also very helpful, Especially Casey! This store is a lot bigger and i feel like they have more of a selection than the pico store.

The store was pretty clean and had everything I was looking for. I ended up being there longer than I wanted to because the staff members don’t go out of their way to assist you. I had to go to the front of the store and ask the cashier to help me get a backpack that I couldn’t reach. She was not very friendly and just told me to go back while she found someone to assist me. I was waiting there for a while as I saw the staff members pass by and didn’t bother asking me what I needed. Finally someone assisted me. Their service was horrible.

Came here to purchase some Hiking gear, and a couple of other Work out accessories. The store is very clean, and has a wide selection of things. I was able to find what I was looking for, and then some.
Here is where I have the Issue. Im very big on customer service. That’s why I joined Unilocal… Anyhow there were two Staff members that must not really like their job. They seemed annoyed when we would ask very general questions about certain products. I almost felt as if I didn’t want bother them to do their job to assist me (the customer) .
Im only giving this a 3 star rating, because the Store is well kept and has a variety as mentioned before.

I had the most annoying experience here today. I spent about 45 minutes in and out of the sweaty dressing room until i finally found 5 workout items that fit me half way decent. I had 5 more items that i wanted to try on. I asked the staff to open the dressing room again and she reminded me i could only take in 5 items at a time. I said, right, I’m buying these 5 and trying on these other ones. She said she’ll have to keep my 5 items at the front. When i went to pay, all those items that i had painstakenly picked out had been returned to the racks. The lady felt bad and ran to get my gray pants, but i was too hot, sweaty and irritated to go hunt for the other items all over again. I said it’s ok I’ll just take these 2 things. On my way out i checked my bag and the girl only gave me one of the items! I know these people probably only make minimum wage, but my shopping experience was ruined because this girl was just not listening or paying attention. Even when i walked in and asked for a specific item, her response was, «whatever we have back there is what we have.» Well duh. Oh well, i would’ve spent $ 100 there but i went to Kohl’s and found similar items for less.

Pretty good Big 5. Located at the Quad in Whitter, in a small corner, so doesnt get too packed. Good shopping experience here. Always like to hit this one up, when i need something, since its close to work.

I found great asics running shoes for a great price ! You can practically buy two for the price of one and are asics great running shoes !

The clean cut guy is a really good employee but the fat girl that is a Raiders fan is dumb and lazy.

mediocre, sometimes they will have what you are looking for, sometimes they won’t. and if you can’t find it yourself than you may be out of luck for that the circumstances are that the employment is not often helpful in assisting people to find what they are looking for.

Even though this Big 5 is smaller than most others I’ve been to, they seem to be pretty good at this location. I haven’t had any problems here.
I’ve come for recreational equipment, baseball equipment, my Bearpaws (when they’re on sale), and my swim essentials. If they don’t have an item I’m looking for, they will call other local stores to see if they have it and have it put on hold for me.
You can also look online for your weekly ad and print coupons out directly from their website. I stumbled across some folding rocking chairs on their website and called to see if they had any left. They only had two and I asked them to hold them for me for an hour. I got there and they had them waiting for me. :)

I haven’t stepped into a Big 5 Spotting’s good in a long time and when you walk in one, it seems like that place has never changed and everything is still quite the same.
One thing noted though is they have lots of variety in what they sell from baseball to yoga equipment to almost anything that has to do with sports.
I came here on my lunch break just because I had some time to kill and I needed to get a speed rope which is just like a jump rope but you can go way faster than you were, when you were a child.
I got it for $ 4.99 and I have been to Target and another different Target to find this speed rope that I was about to give up looking for one. Ehh Maybe I should of went to a Sporting Goods store in the first place !!
But I finally got and I was in this store for 10 minutes just browsing and looking around, everything is very sectional so you will be able to find all you need in a specific sport quite fast and efficient!
Big 5 doesn’t get four or give starts because the inside still looks like we are in the 80’s…it’s time for an update ! !

I went in to the store and wasn’t greeted by neither of the 2 girls that were there at the entrance. I had someone approached me (he has helpful). Overall experience wasn’t good. I went to pay and I waited til someone came to the register. An employee passes by and looked at me and kept walking. Wasn’t even told that someone would be right with me. Girl at the register needs to work on her social skills (unfriendly personality). A simple hi how are you or thank you for coming in would have made it a lot better.
